Summary: Terrific
Review: I read the book, I watched the movie. I reread the book and rewatched the movie. It is definately a kleenex kind of movie. All the characters were strong and the acting was superb. The music was outstanding and the scenery was breathtaking. I am ready to move to the west. Watch this movie over and over but remember the kleenex, it doesn't get any easier the more you watch.

Summary: A gripping romantic adventure!
Review: As a horse lover, I found the story a series of rehabilitating activities after a shocking beginning. I feel sure it was hard for Ann to make on-the-spot decisions concerning the horse while dealing with her daughter's physical problems. At the same time, having had to deal with a child's needs as opposed to holding onto a well-paying job, I can relate to her actions. It was refreshing to see her make choices which were most beneficial to her family rather than today's too-often selfish trends of "me first, last, and always!" I liked the movie because I feel that it is a good moral lesson.

Summary: A movie for all to see, regardless of their age
Review: To me this movie is about beliving and caring. It's real and moving to anyone with a heart. No cursing is to be heard. With all the movies these days with foul language this one is a refreshing change. I sincerely hope more movies are made in this manner.

Summary: My favorite movie of the year!
Review: I seen this movie at the theater and rented it on video, It is a wonderful movie. I recommend everyone should see it. I also seen Monty Roberts in person and agree that things could have been done different in the end of the movie that was'nt so tramatic to the horse, but it is a movie. I will be buying this movie to add to my collection.

Summary: My favourite movie
Review: I think this movie was good. I have also had a very bad fall of my horse that left me very upset and confused about why my horse threw me off. I said to myself I would never ride again but I did. I admit it took me 6months and another horse to get my confidence back. But i did and i am riding my old horse again. My fall was not as bad as the one on the movie but it was bad. After seeing the movie i read the book I think the book was better than the movie only because the movie missed out alot of good bits like Tom dieing, Grace about to set a whole bunch of land on fire, Grace riding another horse other than Pilgrim and Annie getting pregnant by Tom. But it was good seeing the movie first because you new what everyone looked like inclding Pilgrim. Irecommend to everyone who has seen the movi to read the book.

Summary: Two words: IT STUNK!!!!!
Review: I deal with horses every day of my life and I really wanted this movie to be good.....it was the biggest disappointment and worst movie I have ever seen. In response to the reviewer from Seattle, I did hate Titanic, but I am the least shallow, uncaring, miserable person you could ever know. I love my life. It is not at all miserable and I don't think you should be making judgments of other people you have never met. I'm sorry America, this movie stunk. It was the most poorly made and directed movie of all time. I'm sorry that the American people could have such lousy taste when it comes to movies (and presidents). By the way, the adultery in this movie makes me absolutely sick. It is wrong and immoral. (see the 6th commandment) For a REAL horse movie, check out Roy Rogers and John Wayne. They sure beat Robert Redford any day!!!!!!!

Summary: This movie is the best movie I've seen in a long time!
Review: When I first watched this movie I was inspired. I've been a horse lover all my life and when I saw this movie, I loved horses even more. Robert Redford did an excellent job acting in the movie as well as directing it. I think he should have won an Academy Award. This movie just made me think of what could happen to me and anyone else while they were riding their horse. And I love the name Caliber, if I ever get a horse I'm going to name it Caliber. Scarlett Johansson did an excellent job acting for being such a young actress.

Summary: The Horse Whisperer...Lessons in Healing
Review: I've seen the movie twice as well as viewed related material about the movie presented by Robert Redford. This movie is about healing...not only healing the horse, but healing individual lives and relationships. It was evident to me that Pilgrim and Grace suffered from post traumatic stress symptoms. Perhaps that's because I view it from the role of a mental health counselor. I commend Robert Redford for bringing to the film his sensitivity in teaching us about healing. I'm not sure who changed the ending, but since Redford directed it, I assume he did. Had the movie ended as the book did, everyone would have been re-traumatized. Life brings pain to all of us. Life is a process, a journey. We learn as we go. If we study The Horse Whisperer, we can learn that patience, persistence, and a learned guide can help us heal. In addition, the landscape scenes were exceptional. I liked the way we were given time to enjoy the beauty of Montana. It is a movie well worth seeing and pondering its meaning at a deeper level!
