Review: I am the author of the book SKINHEAD STREET GANGS and as such found AMERICAN X to be an accurate rendition of the racist skinhead phenomenon. Ed Norton does a wonderful job of portraying the rage and confusion so many racist skinheads have. I highly recommend the movie.

Review: This movie definetly had a lasting effect on me. It was unlikeany movie I've ever seen. Edward Norton did an outstanding jobportraying Derek Vinyard, both before and after his incarceration. "American History X" takes you thru a gamut of emotions & is sure to make you think. Although the subject matter is a sensitive issue, it was well done, but not a movie for everyone, especially not for the thin-skinned.

Review: In this graphic and very realistic depiction the viewer is throttled into the reality of racisim in America from the beggining when two young black men are brutally killed for attempting to steal a car. An absolute must-see, ESPECIALLY for teenagers. Shows not just the the horrific Reality of racisim in the modern-day scene, but also the tragic consequences.

Review: I've heard this was one of the best 3 movies of 98 so I knew I wasn't making a mistake. It's definitively a must see. You'll remember it for a long time.

Review: Edward Norton, who was nominated for an Academy Award for best actor, stars as a neo-nazi sent to jail after killing some black men. He gets turned around in jail after some insightful messages from an old teacher, and his laundry partner. He tries to turn his brother around, who followed in his footsteps of neo-naziism. This is an excellent movie, definitely worth buying.

Review: This movie is educational, entertaining, controversial and above all, very well acted. Edward Norton gives a great performance as a turned skinhead who does what he can to un-do all the wrong he has done in the past, to save his family and especially his little brother. This film shows why we have all these problems all over the country with kids killing other kids. It's a must-see for parents. I've already made my pre-order!

Review: it was so good and it really got me thinking but it also got the point across perfectly. i seriously think it should be a requirement for high-schoolers. if you haven't seen it yet, see it! its so good.

Summary: I'm the screenwriter, so I might be biased
Review: This is a film that I'm very proud of as a whole. Being the writer of the project, I know what was left in, what we couldn't use, who hated each other, who worked together. But stopping for a moment and really looking back, this film could've been off the charts. If you take strong notice, you will see that many of the scenes Edward is not in are poorly directed. This falls simply on the heels of Tony. With crisp and poignant direction, say from a master of the form like Stone or Scorsese, we could've truly touched magic. As the screenwriter, thank you for all the wonderful comments and I'm glad I've been a part of touching so many people. My mother-in-law clued me onto this and I have to say that it really made my day. Thank you.
