Summary: A film that wasn't afraid
Review: Race relations tend to be an issue that everyone is worried about but no one is willing to talk about. I found this film to be incredible poignant. It takes the viewer through the development of Edward Norton's character hatred and shows us where to go. Stirs up emotions that a lot of people will never know existed within them. This film would have been the best picture in other year. Like the film, so too was Norton's performance. The scene that shows him after the murders will have everyone believing he is pure evil. The problems that occurred with the filmmaking are next to unnoticeable. The DVD is one that should be purchased by people of all races. A comment on society that many films are afraid to do.

Review: I just saw this movie and instantly fell in love with it. The acting was fantastic and the plot wonderful. I congradgulate the cast and crew. Wonderful acting and directing. I reccommend this to anyone who likes a good intense film.

Review: the movie is a must see. the only problem was the look of danny. he looked sloppy when in fact skinheads dress very neat. that goes for all types. still very acurate none the less.88!

Summary: How we can cease the history of hatred.
Review: @As far as I saw, This and 'Magnolia' exceptionally represent what are the matters today that we can not help thinking of. If one who sees this film comes to renew his/her hatred or discriminating, racism, so to speak, blind faith as raison d'etre, we will also have to see deceptive films in the next century. In this film on racism, well shown is how mutual forgiving is difficult. Tragedic last of this film is quite typical like 'Romeo and Juliet' or 'West Side Story', but it is not ending like our real life. This film is no didactic but has so strong impact that we can not help thinking how we can cease the fire. Perhaps no good answer comes to our idea, rather desperate. This film just sketched this despair in which we are, so arouses sympathy. If, however, all of us see this and sympathize, who can go on the history of hatred? I think this is such a pray to people.

Review: This movie deals with the whole ugliness of racism in America. It's a story of one man's true conversion to harmony with his fellow man. See this movie with an open mind and heart. Edward Norton has my vote for one of the top 5 actors of the 90s'.

Summary: DISTURBING AND BRILLIANT
Review: This movie is incredibly disturbing with Edward Norton (who should have won an Oscar for this role)as a white supremecist "leader" who gets out of jail a reformed man. Prison scenes are shown in gritty black and white and in flashback to show Norton's transformation as he slowly becomes brutally made aware of the error of his ways. When he leaves prison he has to pretend he is still a white supremecist in order to protect himself and get his brother out of the group. No description can do this haunting and moving film justice. A must see!

Summary: Powerful Filmmaking.
Review: To my knowledge, this is the only film that exposes racism bluntly and handles it intelligently. This film is not for those who want to ignore what really goes on in our society. After watching this film, I thought that every high schooler should see it before graduation. However, I know there are plenty of parents out there that would put a stop on that. This film's message is very direct and very clear: Hatred is what you and I make for ourselves. I already feel that this is an American classic, though 10 years from now I'm betting that the next generation will not have heard of it. Edward Norton deserved that Oscar nomination. This is a must have for any film collector.

Summary: Great DVD extras
Review: Although there aren't many extra features to go with this entertaining and provocative film - the deleted scenes are choice and could very well have been a part of the final film before it was trimmed for time or rating. Includes the scene where the Nazi leader and Norton's huge Skinhead friend pull some racist BS in a coffeeshop - then get chased down by a gang. Great added bonus.

Review: Wow. When I first rented this movie I thought it was a bunch of skin heads runing around and killing people. Not true! This movie is very deep and really makes you think. Its about a Skin head (edward Norton) and his little brother(Edward furlong) Growing up in a world full of hate for blacks and imergrents after there dad was killed by one. It's a great film and it tells that life is to short to hate each other all the time. It was great and it changed the way I look at people now. amazing.
