Summary: The Outsiders was the best movie\book I've seen/read.
Review: I thought the movie was excellent beyond compare, and I enjoyed all the actors' portrayals as the infamous "greasers." But I'd have to say it was Ralph Macchio's portrayal of Johnny Cade that touched me the most, and in all the right places as in his helplessness. His acting was fabulous, and if he ever reads this, I'd want him to know that in my opinion, this was his greatest peak in acting, and no other movie or play can change my opinion. I'd have to say that I am in love with the character "Johnny Cade" and I thank Ralph Macchio for giving him expression and feeling to his character. Thank You, From one of your numerous fans.

Review: This movie was great, but a little bit loosely based on the novel. I enjoyed the acting of Matt Dillon and the overall presentation of it

Summary: I absolutely loved this book, as did my litte sister. Great
Review: It was a story that is seldom told, the story of the other side. The characters were as original as their names-Ponyboy, Soda Pop, Two-bit, etc. I thought that it displayed not the glory of belonging to a gang, but the tight relationship between the members and the problems that they really do have. I also liked the fact that the author did not rely soley upon looks, that she stated that under a lot of grease, most of the greasers were decent guys; however, the well-dressed socs were cruel. My little sister and I absolutely love this book and the movie. END

Summary: This a great story of the 50s
Review: The book is a great example of the battles between cross town rival, the Socs and the Greasers. It shows how a death can change people's idea and think more about what they are doing. END

Summary: The Outsiders
Review: This book written by S.E. Hinton, is powerful and at its best. It grabs one and catches the eye of another. This book really made me think about myself and who I was as a person. I have also read all other S.E. Hinton books which are just as good. END

Summary: Outstanding
Review: I had to read the book for a project in school this year as an 8th grader. It was outstanding. It was the last week of school and my class had finished our finals and we wanted to watch the movie, so my teacher went to our school library and got it for us. The movie follows the book pretty well but some parts were left out.

This book shows how lucky some people are compaired to others and makes a great point. It is like a less dramatic version of the movie "Elephant" which shows what people are going through. I am going to head down to my towns public library to borrow it and watch it again becuase it is one of the movies that you can just watch over and over again and still love it becuase it makes a great point and was directed really well.

I would recomend this movie to anyone who has not read it. I would read the book first becuase there are some parts that are left out in the movie that were pretty good.
