Rating: Summary: One of the best books and movies I have seen and read. Review: Very dramatic and thrilling. Moves the hart and the soul. The expressions used by the author were more than just simple words. They seem to come bring the characters to life. They made you feel as if you were part of the story.
Rating: Summary: it is great Review: is one of the best movis i have ever see
Rating: Summary: The Greatest book/movie I ever read/watched Review: I really like this book and movie. I read the book a thousand time and I never got tired of it. In this book the Socs judge the greeser by how they dress and how they look and beated them up. I thought it was wrong because the Greesers didn't do anything to them. It taught me not to judge people on how they dress or how they look before you know them.
Rating: Summary: This movie tells exactly about Teen Life Review: This movie was great. Rob Lowe and C. Thomas Howell are so hansome. Anyway, about the movie, I cried at the end when Matt Dillon (Dally) and Ralph Macchio (Johnny) died. :( It is a great and moving story.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST BOOK AND MOVIE EVER!!!! Review: The Outsiders is the greatest book I've ever read, and the one of the best movies I've ever seen. I am in Secondary 2, and one of the books that we had to read was this one. It deals with real life issues, and the actors in the film portrayed the characters beautifully. Even if this is a 1983 movie, it is still an excellent film. I recommend the book and the film for everybody to enjoy!
Rating: Summary: GREASER AT HEART Review: Living in the roughlands of America myslf I know what it's like having rumbles and being in fights. I live in Oklahoma and I think this video portrays the truth really well. I'm a Greaser myself and there still is a gang called the Socs. I have ben beat up prtty bad in rumbles, BUT WE HAVE NEVER LOST ! By this video don't think Greasers are blod hungry, we just stick together and fight for what we believe in.
Rating: Summary: You can't stop thinking about it!!! Review: Hi, I am in seventh grade and my English teacher recommended this book to me. It is a very dramatic book. It shows the toughest times during the '50's when a greaser is silently cring for hope. I never stopped thinking about it I felt like I was there and feeling the experiences of living in a twirl of emotional events. I bought the video and thought it was fantastic. The actors did a great job and I admire them greatly. I hope you you will too. Stacey E.
Rating: Summary: Perfect! Review: I read this book in 6th Grade and then watched the movie. I liked them so much that over the weekend I went out and rented the movie. This was the only movie were the people at the counter actually reccomended it! My favorite character was Johnny Cade. The actors portrayed the characters perfectly! Do not hesitate to get this movie!
Rating: Summary: The BEST movie ever made! Review: This has to be the best movie ever made. How can you beat a movie that has Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, Matt Dillon, Emilio Estevez and Rob Lowe in it? Plus you have the actor of the century, C.Thomas Howell,(I'm telling you the truth!) Macchio (The Karate Kid). Although the movie doesn't follow the book completely, it's just as great. This is a movie you can watch repeatedly and not get sick of. The opening song to the movie, "Stay Gold," is sung wonderfully by Stevie Wonder.
Rating: Summary: Opened a window to a world I have never seen! Review: I recomend this and the other books and movies by S.E.hinton to averyone. There is some content not apropriete for children under 10. I advise the child read the book before,it just gives the story more meaning. The book is for teens in 9th and 10th grade, and I think the movie should be the same. This movie opened a window to a world which exists but I had not relised untill now. This movie taches a lesson so important that everyone should experience it. This video is sad, but it is a heroic story of teens from the rong side of the tracks trying to find their place in society. A 14 and a 16 year old boy who don't fit in at home,in school, just with each other. Each find that they have been hideing their true feelings just to keep their rep. When they both decide to change it is to late for one, but the other will never give up.A uniqe story which truley deserved the Margret A. Edwards award,an award given by the American library association which honors authors"whose books have provided young adults with a window through which they can veiw their world and which will help them grow and understand themselves and their role in society."
