Rating: Summary: Deserved much more. Review: I've been reading these wonderful reviews and noticing that many of them question why this movie wasn't recognized by the Academy Awards. Of course, it should have been. But I think it started when the film wasn't nominated for the Golden Globe. While it's true that three of the major cast members were nominated and Michael Caine deservedly won for Best Actor, the Hollywood Foreign Press neglected to nominate the film. Which is strange because it would've been under the category of "Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical"...and I can think of no other movie in recent memory that fits that category so perfectly, as it is both musical and funny. "Little Voice" was certainly more worthy than the critically-panned Robin Williams medical comedy, "Patch Adams", which was nominated! Anyway, that year "Shakespeare In Love" was taking all the awards. There's no way that Gweneth Paltrow gave a better performance in a comedy/musical than Jane Horrocks, but Paltrow and her movie had more power and influence that year. Both films were distributed by MIRAMAX who apparently decided they'd have a better shot at winning awards if they concentrated more effort promoting "Shakespeare In Love" rather than the smaller, lesser seen "Little Voice"...which led to so few nominations come Oscar-time. I found it ironic that Brenda Blethyn was the only acting nomination for the Academy Award since her performance was the weakest, in my opinion. But at least it was a nomination. There was no excuse for Mr. Caine to be ignored. I read somewhere that the academy would've had no problem nominating Caine for SUPPORTING actor rather than lead. But (a) his role is definately a LEAD role, and (b) this is the same Academy that nominated Hollywood-favorite Dustin Hoffman for lead actor in "Wag The Dog" in what was basically a supporting role. Either way, the movie got screwed. But at least some of us recognize this film's brilliance and originality. I like it when movies surprise me and show me something different. "Little Voice" does that and so much more.

Rating: Summary: very nice Review: Little voice was a very nice movie. I recommend it. Ewan McGregor did a fantastic job in it. I like the movie, it shows that shy people can do big things too.
Rating: Summary: Bravo! Review: I think the people play a good part in the movie. Everyone in the movie act out in the real world like real people.Bravo for (Michael Chine) for the best performace in the moive. At the end of the movie (Micheal Chine)express the anger that I never seen before or any other moives. I like (Jane Horrocks) she does the great and the funny voices that I heard before pretty good. She gives a good performace. The mother (Brenda Blethyn) gives a good performace. In the moive I never saw a mother act like that well, just in the moive. (Ewan McGregor) play a good part and a well Actor in the movie little voice. The director (Mark Herman) did a good job on the moive. The cast did a great job too.

Rating: Summary: Sweet and Beautiful Movie Review: My wife, daughter and I just watched this and loved it.We were amazed to see at the end that Jane Horrocks actually did her own singing. Amazing! This was a sweet story. Michael Caine was fantastic giving what was probably his most "real" performance. And Ewan McGregor was great in a surprisingly timid role as a shy suitor. We also laughed quite a bit at the great subtle humor in the film. Keep a lookout for the scene where the old couple dressed like indians prepare to go on stage with their knife throwing act.
Rating: Summary: Great movie, bad ending Review: The movie was absolutely great until the last of it. I was like...where did it go? It's finished? That was it? Ewan McGregor was great as the shy telephone worker, and Jane Horroks has an amazing voice, but it was too short. If they would have made it fuller, it would have been one of my favorite movies...
Rating: Summary: Simply amazing!! Review: Recently, I had the pleasure of viewing this delightful film at home...Michael Caine, Brenda Blethyn (Oscar nominee) and Jane Horrocks delivered splendid performances. The joy of this production, in my book, is Ms. Horrocks, who so brilliantly captures the role of a hopeless introvert whose only means of expression is by singing like the great divas (Bassey, Garland, Monroe, and so on). I caught her guest spot on the "Parkinson" talk show last week, singing a track from her follow-up CD "Further Adventures of Little Voice" (a la Bassey, no less)! I can't wait to include "Little Voice" in my video library, and I wish the above-mentioned CD (released in the UK) would be available in the US as well. Great film!!!
Rating: Summary: Jane is talented, Ewan is hot. Review: I enjoyed the movie. It was funny and very entertaining. Jane Horrocks is so wonderful in this movie, her impressions are impressive. I loved the music, I happen to share the love for Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Marilyn Monroe, as does the character, L.V. If you didn't enjoy the film, don't waste your time writing an review with so many misspelled words. Oh, and I must mention, Ewan Mcgregor is very "cute" in this film. I only wished it had more of an ending. But despite that, i loved it still.

Is the derector an idiot? Or he actually likes to maltreat people especial his audience by a slight and slow way? He's successful. All I can say is, I can't believe this!!!
