Summary: powerful gutsy drama
Review: american history x is a raw unrelenting powerhouse of a film. the cats is excellent and thouroughly believalbe. the constant profanity is a tru e reflection of the speech and senseibilities of the charaters. As stated earlier, the film shows racism and destructive violence on the part of both blacks and whites. The segment where derek abandons his racist views in prison is not made as clear as it should have been, but the raw power and emotion of the film make it a great viewing experience,

Review: American History X I don't think I have ever seen a movie that I wish would come true as much as this one. It is the story of one man who learns from where he has been to see where he needs to go. Fresh out of prison for murder, Derek Vinyard (played by Edward Norton) tries to impress upon his little brother the lessons he himself has learned the hard way. In the face of chaos, it highlights the possibility of how education, respect for humanity, love for our family, and love for ourselves can change not only me, not only you, but all of us. It's a movie I want to believe in. It's a film that says start with you, fix what is in your control, do what you can for yourself for your family, that is each of our responsibilities. Edward Norton (Primal Fear) will surely do for the screen what Deniro has done and is still doing. He infects me and compels me to believe him. Edward Furlong (Terminator 2) is the picture perfect intelligent young man with the ability to be taught a better way. Not taught through violence or experience, but taught through logic, knowledge and kinship. Norton is surely deserving of his nomination for best actor.

Review: This film was truly moving. It shows racism's ugly face for everyone to understand. You can see how the human mind view's thing's differently from person to person and how those view's change people. It should be viewed in school so that kid's can see how stupid it all is.

Summary: American History X was an extremely powerful movie.
Review: Wow, American History X was a movie that made you look at life in so many differnt ways. Especially with race, love, and violence it made you think about the things you might say or do. I enjoyed the movie a lot eventhough it made me cry and think about the things I have said or done to hurt people of a differnt race or even my own.

Review: I just got done watching American History X and it was very powerfull in both the imagery and language. The film is very gritty and my not be for everyone's liking but I found Edward Norton and Edward Furlong's performences both very moving and well done. Norton is very powerfull as an white supremacnce and when he makes the cross over and sees that he can over come his hate it is truely a great performance. Then ending was a shock but I should have expected it since the movie from beginning to end was very hard hitting to the mind and eyes. Overall the movie left an impression on me that people can over come their hate.

Review: i was not prepared for what just took place on my screen-this film virtually explodes with all types of raw passion and emotion the likes of which i haven't seen in years. it was gripping and highly emotional; the acting by all was wonderful and natural, but edward norton should really have had this year's best actor award. he is a terrific young actor who will become one of the greats as the years pass. anyone interested in seeing something so very unique and different should not pass this one up! the photography (both color and black and white)was brilliant as was the digital transfer-new line has done it still again! this is one awesome and unforgettable flick that will stay with you for hours after you have viewed it for the first time.

Review: "American History X" was without a doubt one of the greatest films of 1998. Ed Norton has proven once again to be the most awe inspiring actor in years. This film has a message, and while some people thought that it was too blatant, are there many subtle neo-nazis out there? The message is brutal and uncompromising and true to life. Do not miss this searing film!
