Summary: The phone scene is incredible!
Review: I'm adding a second review because I forgot so many things in the first. The phone scene where they are both on the phone and he is realizing how much he loves her, is scintillating. It's one of the best scenes ever of a man falling in love.Capra, as usual, has picked the perfect actor for every role - he was so good at that!

Summary: One of the best movies about LOVE!
Review: This movie is one of the best movies ever made about the theme of love: love for your family, love for oneself, love for a spouse, love for your children, love for your friends, love for your community. All of these issues are shown so beautifully and cleverly in this incredible movie. Everytime I watch it, it makes me cry from the beauty of it. I thank God for Capra. The 50th anniversary addition gives you a cassette with some Christmas songs, and on the video is the trailer and TOm Bosley narrates the Making of it (pity they picked him - wrong voice for it). I suggest just getting the standard video but, if you want to see Capra -- the genius behind it all -- then get this 50th anniversary video.

Review: . . . for your having lived in it. Why can't Hollywood write scripts like this anymore? This is one of the most touching works of art the movie industry ever produced. Black and white classic or modern colorized, it makes no difference. The message of the film does.

Summary: best movie i have ever seen
Review: i am ashamed to admit that it took me until december 5th 1998 to see "Its a Wonderful Life" but i must say that this movie is the greatest film of all time. the message is simple yet complex. how often do we realize that our friends and family and love are the only true things in life, how many times do we neglect our love and chase after illusionary things? this movie made be realize the simple truth, that no man with friends is a failure. this movie opened my eyes to and made me feel foolish for the GPA chasing behavior i was engaging in. too many times have i taken for granted the presence of family and most of all, this movie allowed me to see how much i really do miss my deceased love ones.

Review: Every year at Christmastime I must watch this movie. And every year I cry at the end. Jimmy Stewart was such a wonderful actor and in this movie, he is surrounded by the perfect cast. I know it's only a movie but every time I watch it I feel so happy for George Bailey during the final scene. And on many occasions I have used the theme of this movie to remind people how blessed myself and others are because they are in this world. One of my all-time favorites!

Review: This film is the reason that I am still single so my sister says! I am looking for George Bailey and will no doubt never find him. I have seen this movie somewhere in the vacinity of 80 times and never fail to be moved by it. George is a simple man with great expectations yet he never gets where he wants to - isn't that how it often is in real life? But George has the chance to see what life would have been like for others had he not been born. It really makes you think that maybe you have touched someone's life and made it a little better in some way. That is a nice thought. George is the richest man in the county because no man is a failure who has friends! Isn't that right Clarence!!!

Review: This is a great Capra film. All the elements are there, comedy, romance and of course, pathos. This film never fails to get my wife crying. In particular the scene where George Bailey is in Martinellis' Bar and he is considering suicide for the insurance money. WOW. Jimmy Stewart at his best. See this film.

Review: I've always loved Wonderful Life. For fans of this movie, this disc is DVD's killer app. Not so much for the extra features (it comes with two nice documentaries, scene access, plus a little Christmas ornament) but the restored and enhanced picture (made from the original master print) is so sharp and crystal clear, you'll see things you'll swear you never saw before, details that have always been hidden by the murk and grime of the source film's age. Buy this disc, you won't be disappointed.

Review: got to see this every year b/w color it does not matter wat a movie Jimmy Stewart does the same every time a bell rings!! It makes you realize what its all about family, whats right Real feelings even today it will always be a classic for me to watch to get back to real life in these hectic times we are in all the kids,stress,doing your job letting go of your dream to wear the shoes of what you need to do and don't want to do and realizing that if you don't you will kill everthing that depends on you to carry on no matter what it takes. Then you know it does'nt matter because what you were looking for is already with you, don't pass it up,precious moments with your family for chasing the moon They are what you have been searching for and you did'nt even know. ZuZu's Petals are all of our kids little things they bring to us and we are to busy to notice. Mary is a perfect wife,George tries to help Bedford Falls get homes,Potter is a Slum Landlord keeping them and Uncle Billy from getting a little home and family without paying the big guy and arm and a leg. What we need is a guy like george to help us in this day. where are you everyone needs a guy who can see his problem and try to help get him by thats right just to get us by More Lenders need to be like George not Old Potter!!!!!!!!!!!
