Summary: Timeless classic
Review: Since I first saw this movie when I was 13 years old, I fell in love with it. It's the only movie that can make me cry, and it makes me cry every time I see it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: FANNIE HURST'S DURABLE TEARJERKER IS TIMELESS
Review: Hurst's best-selling novel was published in 1933 and Douglas Sirk took a modernized approach in the filming of his 1959 remake of the 1934 Claudette Colbert weeper (which was very close to the book).Lana Turner eventually becomes movie star Lora Hart in this version and her daughter is played by Sandra Dee. Memorable seens include Sara Jane (Susan Kohner) getting smacked by her blond boyfriend (Troy Donahue) when he finds out about her and magnificent finale whereupon Sara Jane finally realizes what is important in life as she gets hysterical at her mother's funeral service (complete with Mahalia Jackson singing "The Troubles of the World" A real tearjerker!

Summary: A Must-See, Two Boxer (tissues)
Review: Since I was a teenager in the 1950's, I could fully understand the messages relating to racial issues, teen loves, misunderstandings between girls and their mothers. Few of us realized the many sacrifices our moms endured just for us. Few people in this world then and now are as truly unselfish and thoughful of everyone as Annie was to all around her. Mahalia Jackson's solo still raises chill-bumps everytime I see this movie. If movies are ever required in schools, this is a definite must!

Summary: tear jerking.
Review: Imitation of Life is only one of three film I have watched that have managed to make me cry. The other two being the Colour Purple and Set it off, with Queen Latifa. I would recommend this film to anybody and everbody.

Summary: This movie's a classic and I love it.
Review: The 1st time I saw this movie was when I was flipping through the channels 1 day and this movie just caught my attention. I loved it. I thought Lana Turner was wonderful and Juanita Moore was great too. After I saw this movie I went out looking for it and I finally came across a store that had it. I knew I just had to get it. I recommend this movie to everyone.

Summary: A reason to appreciate who you are!!!
Review: Imitations of life-This was an absolute tear jerker, i loved this movie so much. all the characters played an important part, back in those days it was quite rare, to find a black woman and a white woman as friends. This movie was well written and wrt watching over and over again. No body should ever die of a broken heart the way Annie did.It was also sad that Sara Jane was so ashamed of who she was, there was a tremendous amout of love in the movie. Kudo's to the writers and directors.

Summary: ONE OF THE MOST OUTSTANDING MOVIES I'VE EVER SEEN
Review: If this movie is a tear gerker from sure. The story is one that was told before its time. And truely a classic.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: My absolute favorite movie
Review: This is one of two movies where I have shed a tear while watching it. I never cry at movies but this is the exception. I know a movie is good if it can make me cry (The other one is Bambi).

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Watch this with tissues in one hand & the phone in the other
Review: Every time I watch this movie (which is QUITE a bit), it takes my breath away. Not only the ending, which makes me cry so hard that I cannot breath, but the whole story, settings, and acting. This movie is definately a classic that everyone should see at least once. All the reviews explain the need for the tissues. What's the phone for? To call your mother and thank her for all the sacrifices she has made and to apologize for all the times you broke her heart.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Well written with great actors.
Review: I found the movie very heartfelt, but not uncommon in this day and time. Susan Kohner was great in the movie and her role was very memorable. Ms. Moore's role was good, and humbling.

As always, Lana Turner always make the parts she plays very believable. I've seen her and Sandra Dee play in several movies together. All of their movies are definitely worth watching repeatedly.
