Rating: Summary: Judy Garland's best and the best of all musicals. Review: "Meet Me in St. Louis" is by far my favorite movie musical. The songs themselves are so memorable, joyous, and fun. I sang them after I saw the movie, actually. Judy Garland is in probably her best performance ever as Esther Smith. Margaret O'Brien is equally superb as Tootie. The scene where she sings "I Was Drunk" is hilarious. She also broke my heart when Garland sang to her, "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". I liked that MGM used turn-of-the-century period songs like "Skip to My Lou". That gave the movie an authenticity and made it real. If you're a fan of movie musicals, "Meet Me in St. Louis" is one of the best of the genre.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful!!! Review: This is by far one of my all time favorites! I have watched it numerous times on TCM, pretty much whenever it's on. This is definitly a must see for people of all ages. I hope it's out on DVD soon, I'll be the first in line!
Rating: Summary: Judy is AWESOME...One of the best movies ever! Review: Judy was & will always be the greatest talent around and she proved it in Meet Me In St. Louis. Her portrayal of Esther is just perfect. She is pure heaven and she looks absolutely gorgeous too. The songs are fabulous and will leave you wanting to watch this movie over and over again. I lost track of how many times I have watched it. You'll be hooked on Judy and the film!
Rating: Summary: A Judy Masterpiece! Review: It's hard to belive that this, one of Judy Garland's best, and most remembered roles of her life, almost didn't happen. Judy didn't want the role, she wanted more adult parts, and not the part of a teenager, again. She was thankfully convinced by whatever person to play the role, and it became one of her best. Judy said "That was the first time I felt beautiful on film." She credited her beauty in that picture to the director, and her soon to be husband, Vincene Minnelli. (with whom she would have Liza, a year later)Out of this film came many classic songs including, "Meet Me in St Louis", "The Trolly Song", but the one that would become a classic among classics would be "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", which would become a holiday classic, although let it be known, it was written for and in part by Judy Garland. Also featured in this film is Margaret O' Brien, as Tootie, the seven year old sister to Judy. She gives a simply wonderfully cute performace, always a bundle of energy, even when she's mad and crying that they must leave St. Louis and miss the 1904 World's Fair. This film is the story of the Smith family of St. Louis, who's perfect world (hey it's a MGM musical) is shattered when Mr. Smith is told that his boss is trasfering him to New York. But of course on Christmas Eve of 1903, he announces to the family that they will not be moveing! The film ends with them attending the Fair, which to them is a sight to ehold, with it's electric lights, and technological advancements. This is a simply perfect film, and Judy does, infact, look beautiful throughout! If you haven't saw this classic, don't pass it up simply for it's age. This is a film not to be missed! How bad could it be? After all it stars the World's Greatest Entertainer, the force of nature, Judy Garland!
Rating: Summary: A Beautiful and enjoyable film for the entire family! Review: I highly recommend this film. Judy Garland is wonderful in it! I think it's one of her best film. I'd give this film 10 stars if I could. I can watch it again and again and never tire of it.

Rating: Summary: I LOVED IT! Review: I cannot believe I waited this long to see this movie. This is Judy Garland at her best. Everyone should see this movie.
Rating: Summary: fantastic musical Review: Judy Garland gives one of her finest performances in the delightful period musical MEET ME IN ST LOUIS, still one of the best-loved movies of all time. Esther Smith (Garland) is in love with "The Boy Next Door", and when she discovers that the Worlds Fair is coming to her town, everyone in St Louis is thrilled. Her enchantment only grows when she discovers the feeling of love is mutual, but when her father announces that the family is moving to New York, the romance could be finished before it even began... Margaret O'Brien steals every scene she's in as Esther's little sister Tootie, while the supporting cast, led by Lucille Bremer, Mary Astor and Leon Ames is first-rate. Initially more popular at the box-office than THE WIZARD OF OZ, the evergreen MEET ME IN ST LOUIS continues to be loved by generations of movie-lovers.
Rating: Summary: Judy! Review: This is such a great movie! I can't stop watching it! I love Judy and she looks beautiful in this film, thanks to director and her future husband Vincente Minnelli. I love the cake walk number she does with Margaret O' Brien. Judy really looks happy in this film. It was probably one of the happy moments in her life. Judy, at first, did not want to play Esther Smith. But, she was convinced and we are all glad the you did it Joots!
