Summary: GREAT MOVIE
Review: Pearl Harbor is a magnificent film. It has everything you need to spend a great time: action, romance, great performances, good-looking guys and ladies, history and a little bit of fantasy... could you ask for more?. Ben, Josh and Alec are the best actors anyone could possibly have chosen for the roles. Josh Hartnett simply great, a 100% raising star in the Hollywood horizon. Great story told and shown in the best possible way.

Review: This is a spectacular movie. It has a great story line and the love story in the movie is tear jerking. It has such a surprise ending, and it...it's awesome! Not only does it have the hottest guy in the world (josh hartnett), but it also has great special effects and spectacular acting. Summary: Absolutely Brilliant Film!
Review: This has got to be absolutely one of the best movies ever made in my own opinion! When I first saw the trailer for the movie, I figured it was just going to be another war movie... but I was way off! Well... of course it is a war movie but it also has a very interesting love story too! For some reason... critics said that the love story totally ruined the movie... I absolutely disagree 100%! That love story kept my eyes glued to the screen! I loved this movie because it made you laugh and cry at the same time and I don't think my eyes went off the screen once! This movie just mesmerizes you the moment you start watching! I don't think this was just another typical war movie because you got to really know the characters on a personal basis and when something happened to them... you really cared and felt like you were losing your own loved one in a way! The actual bombing scene was spectacular! They had awesome visual effects... it really felt like it was happening right before your very eyes! The cast was excellent... I was always a Josh Hartnett fan so that was one of the main reasons I went... and am I glad that I did! Ben Affleck and Kate Beckinsale did spectacular also! After seeing this movie, I got really interested in researching wars... in particular World War II! I think this movie really raised people's awareness of what really happened in American History! I also think that it raised people's patriotism too... and that's especially important with all that is happening ever since September 11th! So please... if you are considering buying the video... please do! I know for a fact that you won't regret it!

Summary: Pearl Harbor
Review: This action/romance film is sure to please all with its stunning performances and special effects. Ben Affleck portrays Rafe, a lovesick soldier fighting for the British in World War II . Kate Beckinsale plays Evelyn, a beautiful nurse who falls in love with Rafe. Danny, played by Josh Harnett, is shy when it comes to girls; however, when he finds his true love that soon changes. These actors wonderfully capture their characters which is really what makes the movie so great and allowed me to identify with them. The special effects are incredible during the scenes when Pearl Harbor is attacked.
Rafe and Danny, life long friends, join the Army Air Corps together. When Rafe falls in love with his nurse Evelyn he volunteers to fight with the British Royal Air Force where he is shot down and thought to be dead. While he is fighting abroad Danny and Evelyn are shipped to Pearl Harbor where they receive the news that Rafe has been killed. Due to this tragedy they become closer and develop a serious relationship. However, once Rafe returns the only thing that can save their friendship is the attack on Pearl Harbor.
This much anticipated film is not only an action film but also a romance. Some consider this film to be a poor display of a war film and that it dishonors those soldiers that died at Pearl Harbor, but what was enjoyable for many is the fact that it wasn't just a war movie. The love story helped more people to identify with the characters and some events that took place. It has a very well written script that had me both laughing and crying.
This movie is definitely worth seeing; and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind a little love mixed with war.

Review: It's a great movie, lots of action, although it could have been about half-hour short. The attack scene is amazing, as well are the scenes of the battle of England, but the romantic stuff is just plain dumb! The end of the movie is ridiculous. But all in all, it's a very good title, and th action scenes make it far better than that other romantic-sacharine movie... what was the title? Oh yes, Titanic!

Summary: Had its good points
Review: This movie was good AND bad. Alot of people feel that the love story in it should not have been put in. This was used to show that in the Second World War, people and relationships were thrown into massive chaos. This really did happen. The story here in the movie may be based on reality, or not, but what happened in the movie with the characters and their relationships did really happen. The only part of the love story that i thought could be taken out was the sex scene. They could have left that to the viewer's imagination.To move on the historical aspect of this movie was wonderful.

Review: Pearl Harbor is the best film I have ever seen.It was a mixture of emotions.I laughed in some parts and crying in others.The acting in it was brilliant!As I am a masive fan of Josh Hartnett, when I found out he was in Pearl Harbor, I was thrilled.This film really showed off Josh's acting skills,the same with Ben Affleck and Kate Beckisale. I give this film definately 10/10!

Review: I don't really see why pearl harbor got some bad reviews . i do have to admit some TINY parts reminded me of Titanic but overall the movie was great. the story with danny (Hartnett) and rafe(Affleck) as the best of friends and then the twist of them both falling in love with the same girl gives it flavor. but to add to the suspense the have the war thrown in it so that the love triangle is put on hold and the thing on peoples minds is how to help others and yet survive at the same time. the director had a great cast with award winning ben affleck hot.. josh hartnett and talented Kate beckinsale. i definately am going to buy this video the day it comes out. it is a sad movie but yet it's a great family movie. i highly recommend it!!!

Racial and ethnic bigotry was wrong in 1941, and must be wholeheartedly rejected today when some less than admirable individuals are tempted to blame their fellow Americans of Arab descent for the horror of just a few weeks ago. United States courageously and ethically faced its enemies over fifty years ago. We must do so once again. The very fact that this film's creators relied so extensively on focus groups to guide the making of this film was a serious mistake. Both Liberal and Conservative commentators used this as an excuse to blast "Pearl Harbor" immediately upon its initial release. Many wrongly concluded that these marketing studies might be dismissed as a mere cynical attempt by the producers to increase their profits. I strongly disagree with this assessment, and instead strongly recommend that every citizen view this film at least once. It may very well be your duty to so.
