Review: Never got to see it on the theater but I did rent the DVD. The DVD has a many interested features. Details on the production and interviews with survival experts. It is a good DVD.

The one star is because I didn't like the movie. If you liked Cast Away. You will love the DVD. If you are like me and appreciate nothing about the movie, or if you haven't seen Cast Away. Rent first. I'm very glad I did.

Summary: If you want a great DVD with a great film buy this.
Review: "Cast Away" has become one of my favourite films, the acting is truly good, the film is very exciting, and also it has a preety good developing, that's what i like about the films from Robert Zemeckis, even though i have only seen "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?", "Forrest Gump", "Contact", "What Lies Beaneath" and now "Cast Away" i truly do think that he is a great director, the DVD is the best that i have ,i buyed at a Wal-Mart, it has everything you want, you get Dolby Digital Surround EX, DTS ES Digital Surround Sound, Dolby Stereo, French Dolby Stereo track, spanish and english subtitles, an audio commentary by Zemeckis, and by the other crew, and you have four "Making of" features, all the TV spots, all the trailers are in there, and much more, and as i have told the audio quality is top-notch, DTS as always sounds better than Dolby, but Dolby sounds preety good in this DVD.

I din't think it was going to be that grate but I got it anyway. And it was a really good movie it was worth the 3 dollers you spent to rent it. I say take it or leave it but if you take it you wont be sorry.

Summary: One of the best movies EVER until the very end
Review: I never got the chance to see "Cast Away" at the theatres, but when it finally came out on video a few days ago, it was one movie I couldn't wait to see. All I'll say about the movie's plot is that Tom Hanks is a FedEx worker who gets stranded on an island. He has to find a way to get back to his life and with the woman he loves (Helen Hunt), but he can only do that if he learns how to survive by himself on the uninhabited island.

From the beginning of the movie to about the last 20-30 minutes of it, "Cast Away" is one of the best movies I've ever seen. The time that Tom Hanks spends on the island by himself and what he has to do to survive and try to make it back to the place he came from, is spectacular. Tom Hanks always does a great job in all of his movies, but he just might've done his best job of acting so far with "Cast Away."

I wanted to give "Cast Away" five stars real bad, but the last parts of the movie kept me from it. It's a movie that I can watch over and over without getting tired of it, but there's just something about the ending (you'll have to watch it yourself to find out what happens) that left me hanging and not quite satisfied. But "Cast Away" is still a GREAT movie and I recommend everybody to at least watch it. If you're pondering whether or not to purchase it, I would say get it now! It's more than worth it.

Summary: A Superb Film For The Heart & Soul!
Review: To say this film is great is an understatement! The thought of one actor on screen almost the entire film is what really scared the audience away. And especially when you have to sit in uncomfortable seat for 2 hours and 20 minutes. But Tom Hanks (Forrest Gump, Philadelphia) give another oscar worthy performance as Chuck Noland, a FedEx employee whos always on the go. Leaving very little time for his girlfriend Kelly, Played by Helen Hunt (What Women Want, Twister).

As their family sits down for Christmas dinner Chuck is sent out on another business venture. Leaving on a ill-fated plane, which crashes, Chuck must put everything he knows to use as he is stranded on a deserted island. You will feel this movie deep down.

From the diffrent hard ships Chuck must face all obstacles in the riveting look at how one man beat all odds. As obstacle after obstacle Chuck meets up to the challenge.

If you loved Forrest Gump, your in suprise for another superb film by Robert Zemeckis, as he teams up once again with Academy Award Winner Tom Hanks. A film that will touch your heart and elightened your soul!

I have seen it 11 times and counting!

Summary: Bad Ending
Review: I heard a lot of great reviews about this movie and, being a huge Tom Hanks fan, I couldn't wait to see it. So we went out and bought it, instead of renting it, and all I have to say is thank god it was on sale! When we first starting watching this movie I was completely in love with everything, the characters, the actors, the story line, the effects. Then came the scene where Chuck returns to meet his ex-girlfriend, Kelly. From this point on the movie started to go very sour. I felt that the ending left you with absolutely no answers. Aside from the fact that there is no way I would be married, with a child, after my ex-soon-to-have-been fiance was thought to be dead. Maybe, I would be in a serious relationship by then, but not married. And what was up with the very end of this movie? Did Chuck go make a new friend? Maybe I'm just not getting it, but I wasn't the only one.
