Summary: Way to go Pearl!
Review: I think that this has got to be THE BEST movie of all time! To all of those people who dished it, your loss! Noone ever listens to critics anyway, and if they did alot of movies would not get made. The cast is great, the scenery is gorgeous and the war sequence is real. I have watched Pearl Harbor twice already and I'm going back for more!!

Summary: Pearl Harbour, it's only a film...
Review: I think that the majority of critics that have performed their own tactical assault upon pearl harbour have lost their way. 'This is a Theatrical movie not a documentary' and anyone intending to catch this film at the flix should bare this in mind.

Although carrying slightly too much romantic baggage, Pearl Harbour contains all the right ingreidients to cook up a fantastic action fuelled war drama, containing some of the best SFX and CGi I seen to date.

The main cast by far delivered an entertaining performance heavily backed up by a strong supporting cast. Ben Affleck certainly has picked up a few skills since the day's of Mall Rats, and doesn't he know it! :)

So as long as you're prepared to sit through some superb cheesecore, Pearl Harbour will have you leaving that overpriced popcorn in the seat next to you, left empty by the critic enslaved bod that went to see 'Mummy Returns'.

Summary: Propaganda, 2001 Style
Review: Is it just me, or is "Pearl Harbor" an overblown way to "commemerate" the propaganda films of WWII??

Take a nice love story, have it shattered by a air attack, and then we'll bomb the heck outta the Japs for destroying our peaceful existance!! (and I AM Japanese, so don't complain to ... about my racial slur.)

Truely one film that will get at least one Razzie.

Summary: Dont let the cast fool you, THIS MOVIE BITES!
Review: I have respect for our war veterans of this great country. They've done something for us youngsters, that we could never repay. So what does the ''greatest generations'' youth do to honor them? Make a horrible movie like this. Pearl Harbor is one of the most overhyped, and overplayed movies ever. Instead of having the great and powerful war plot in Saving Private Ryan, Pearl Harbor was more like Armageddon. It was all about the action. Maybe 1/3 of the movie was focused on the characters. But all they focused on were the two best buds and their love interest. At first it seemed okay, but the rivalry and the acting got old very quick. Ben Affleck is one of my favorites, but I dont know what got in his mind to make a movie like this. It tried way too hard to have everything for everybody (romance, action, humor). But what the script-writers didnt realize is we didnt come to see a movie that had something for everybody, we came to see a war movie!

Summary: MICHAEL BAY and JERRY BRUCKHEIMER have done it again!
Review: PEARL HARBOR is the sweeping love story between Rafe McCawley (Ben Affleck- Armageddon) and Evelyn Stewart (Kate Beckinsale), in which Rafe volunteers to fight for the British, leaving Evelyn and his best friend, Danny (Josh Hartnett), behind, waiting to be transferred to Pearl Harbor. After Rafe's plane crashes in battle, Rafe is assumed dead and Danny and Evelyn hear of this news to be confirmed. Now a big love affair forms between Evelyn and Danny... when months later, Rafe returns to Pearl Harbor and finds Danny and Evelyn together! Now with fury against his best friend, and Evelyn not being able to figure out what to do, the bomb drops! The battle on Pearl Harbor begins, Dec. 7, 1941.

MY REVIEW:

"Though I have heard mixed reviews for this film, the movie is quite good! I just saw it yesterday FINALLY, and was blown away! Ben Affleck and Cuba Gooding Jr. steal the show with their excellent performances! The action was extroardinary- there didn't need to be any gore to make it seem real! The flying sequences made me think of TOP GUN with Maverick and Goose, instead here it's Danny and Rafe, yet they are actually shooting down planes. The movie doesn't seem that long until the end when they go to bomb Tokyo, but it is a truly magnificent ending, great performances, and action- MICHAEL BAY & JERRY BRUCKHEIMER have made yet another superb film! Forget the critics- it's all about entertainment- not perfectly factual history! Take my word for it- PEARL HARBOR IS A STUNNINGLY WONDERFUL ROMANCE/ACTION/DRAMA that I think is even better than TITANIC!"- MJV & the Movies

Summary: It was awsome!
Review: I thought that was the best movie ever! I mean, it told about world war 2,while still keeping it interesting by making it a love story! I also loved it because it stared Ben Afflic and Josh Hartnet!

Summary: Excellent movie about American Heroics
Review: They need to make more movies like pearl harbor that honor american and family values. This movie espouses heroism and made me proud to be called an American. It also made me feel sad that my generation is probably unready to deal with such a horrific event like WWII like people of my grandparents age were. Who cares if there was a love story added to it. Are you telling me that people didn't fall in love back then or do not get romantically involved during war? It IS a movie after all, and if you look at it purely from the point of filmaking, it is a great film. It may not be historically accurate, but since when is it Hollywoods job to educate? People need to stop complaining about this and go out and read books or take college courses on history. At the movies, just watch the film. And watch this one because it is great on every level.

Summary: First Rate Speciale Effects, Everything Else Sucks
Review: Now that the "movie of the summer" has been released, the studio has realized (hopefully) that they shouldn't have followed Titanic's storyline and should have made an In-Your-Face war movie. If they had done that this movie would make more than it is making now. The love story simply stinks and is simply unbelievable. It's remarkable in it's unremarkableness!!! The only think worth seeing is ILM's bombing scene, so wait for the DVD and rent it so that you can choose that chapter and watch it over and over again, and skip everything else. Even the bombing of Tokyo at the end isn't anything special!!!
