Summary: I want to be just like Rene when I grow up...
Review: And you know why? She's cool. That's all there is to it. What is this criticizing her because of her age and saying that she looks old? Permit me this, the individuals that would say such a thing would not be glanced at by Rene if he happened to be the last man on Earth. This would make him very sad.

That having been said, The Thomas Crown Affair far surpasses its predecessor. I've seen the other one and I don't know how I did not fall asleep. This film has it all, style, dialogue, Pierce, Rene, I don't see a problem. To add to that, Denis Leary is in the film as well and does a superb job.

I think that this film is great and highly underrated. Buy it, enjoy and let the naysayers nay.

Summary: A Super-Slick Remake. Top Notch in All Departments.
Review: "The Thomas Crown Affair" is a Change of Pace for Director John McTiernan, after Action Fests like "Die Hard", "Predator" and the Recent " The 13th Warrior". But for Pierce Brosnan, it's another "Slick Suited, Smooth Talking Man of Empecable Taste" Role. Is This Typecasting... I Don't Really Care.

After all the Fuss about Catherine Zeta Jones' age difference to her Leading man Sean Connery in Entrapment, Critics were happy to see Pierce and Rene get together in this film. I didn't think It would help the film at all, but it does. It turns out to be a far more Realistic and Believeable film, how much that has due to the Casting I don't know, but for me It works much better.

Pierce and Rene, both over 40, look great and their Romance is Riviting. The whole film is so Enjoyable to look at you never notice if the pace lags because you just ain't paying Attention.. Too much Eye Candy. The Few Action Scenes are Brilliantly Handled (John McTiernan knows the terain)and the Numerous Scores are Very Above Average. A Top Effort in All Departments.

Summary: Tastelessly made
Review: This is a film that looks slick but actually pointless and fake. With the exception of the title sequence, this whole film is borning and full of production mistakes. The editor always cuts at the wrong places and thus creates so many continuity problems. McTiernan proves himself a director who doesn't care much about details. I still don't know how can Mr. Crown put the Monet in his suitcase, fold the wooden frame into half and then bring the painting home in one piece. Acting is also bad. Russo looks like she is fifty already. Bad bad bad makeups. The harder she tries to be sexy the older she looks. Brosnan is just so so, as usual. All in all, this film is tastelessly made.

Summary: Gotta have it!
Review: OK - call me crazy - I just bought 5 Brosnan videos... But this one rates #1 in my book - I'm not going to spoil it for you (even thought a lot of other reviewers have) and give it all away, suffice it to say, it has action, adventure, suspence, romance (very heated), great acting on EVERYONE'S part, and the score is stupendous. Reviews are always subjective, but this is really a worthwhile watch and great addition to your video library. Hopefully Brosnan will keep making them and I'll probably keep buying them!

Summary: Entertaining and fun, but predictable.
Review: The quality of this movie was not extraordinary so the ending and many of the so called twists were very predictable. A movie like this has to be extremely satisfying, or I don't think anyone would like it. It is fun and entertaining and Pierce Brosnan is great as an ultra wealthy bored businessman. Rene Russo is very annoying at certain parts and likable a few times. She just isn't right for this part. Other than that it was worth watching but not buying.

Summary: Oh brother....
Review: This movie started out promisingly...the heist itself was carried out with some neat twists-Crown was an interesting character, but then...enter the Rene Russo character and it goes downhill. How he could stand listening to her screech and laugh like a hyena (the sex must've been really, really good!). We got bored by the time they were in the Caribbean and just wanted it to get over with.

Summary: Don't expect another "Entrapment"
Review: First of all, I was disappointed because I was given the impression that "The Thomas Crown Affair" would be similar to "Entrapment." Instead, it's based on a love story between Brosnan and Russo. Even though TTCA didn't offer what I expected, I was impressed by other parts of this movie. The acting was superb, Brosnan and Russo are equally great actors. The concept of the movie was also great, too. Brosnan was sexy and sleek as the rich guy who thought it was fun to steal paintings from the art museum. Other than that, I rate it a THREE, because this isn't my kind of movie.

Summary: smart and entertaining
Review: I would definitely see this movie again. It was a pleasant surprise among the usual drab scenarios. It is a clever little mind puzzle, but not too heavy for a Friday night.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Love it! Love it! Love it!
Review: This is the ultimate escapism movie. Ir's really slick and still manage to surprise you. Brilliant acting too. It's funny how you think James Bond is crude after seeing the same guy play Thomas Crown.

Summary: Russo is SEXY as HELL!
Review: This is a greta Pierce Brosnan movie. He pulls out all the stops an puts on a terrific performance. Russo on the other hand couldn't act to save her life.
