Summary: Wonderful Love Story, and a great History Awakening
Review: To not like this movie, is to have no heart. It's a movie people!!!! You got to look beyond the wide screen and open your mind and your heart. A reality or fiction- There could have been a couple going through that very scene or some form of it. It's reality of life we choose not to accept. It was a truly exceptional way of looking at what people went through on that "so called" big Boat- A reality!. I cried- and I don't cry in Movies!!! Braveheart although equally riveting, was in a totally different era- a totally different mind set. Life is full of love, happiness, passion, hate, and fear. This movie had it all. I reccommend this movie to all, who enjoy the love of a man and woman, as well as the curiousity of true History. Of course this is only my opinion.

Summary: To the viewer in Iowa!
Review: Tell that to Blance or Dorothy. Don't mock out this movie or the Golden Girls. You need to open your eyes, my tough little friend, and start talking nice. This movie is outstanding and I'm afraid that I have the whole world to prove it. There was nothing about this movie I didn't love (except that Cal didn't deserve a seat in the lifeboat). Anyone who doesn't love this film....WAKE UP!

Summary: An "unsinkable" classic
Review: Forget the negative criticisms - 11 Academy Awards says it all. Mind you, I think they were robbed. Especially Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio who kept the story (pardon the pun) afloat during this 3 hour epic. I usually become bored with long romance movies, but this had me rivetted throughout. 3 hours? Seemed like 45 minutes. It passed so quickly! James Cameron you are a genius! You deserve every penny that falls into your pocket for having the balls to defy the Hollywood moguls' penny pinching and make "Titanic" how YOU wanted it to be made. My only criticism with the DVD is that there is no behind-the-scenes footage, doco or deleted scenes....and we know there are many that hit the cutting room floor. No doubt a "director's cut - special edition" is on the drawing boards....you crafty lot! I wait with baited breath.

Summary: Visually spectacular, but somewhat lacking in character.
Review: James Cameron more successfully explores the concept of free-will vs. destiny in his Terminator movies, and gives a stronger illustration of female empowerment not only in the two Terminators but also in True Lies. Still, at more than 3 hours, I was never bored, although some of the characters' behavior was rather improbable. And the love story is only a tad bit deeper than the romance in Dirty Dancing. Not the best movie ever made, but also not the worst.

Summary: DULL,Thats it,DULL
Review: Did it really need to take 3 plus hours to say the boat sank? (by the way, that was the best part) This movie is amazing in one respect,it will always amaze me that people spent so much money to see it so many times. I have had better times watching paint dry, this movie is a classic example of too much hype and too little pay-off do yourself a favor, if you want to see a movie worth the hype, see Star Wars:Episode One.

Summary: THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE
Review: Read my lips folks. This is a great movie. MOVIE!!!!!! I was reading a couple of the reviews with 1 star. I understand you're entitled to your opinion folks, but give the MOVIE a break. It is NOT a documentary. It is fictional. I'm assuming you knew this when you wrote your review, or you have not done your research or are simply stupid. If you read anywhere, you will find it is "FICTIONAL STORY" BASED on a true life event. BASED!!!!!!! Get it. Movies are made to be entertaining. If you want an documentary, buy one of those poorly made DVD's that are mono and video quality that will make you gag. Then you can sit there and be satisfied with your boring documentary. Until then, get off Titanic's back. It never claimed to be a documentary or accurate in any way. It's a piece of entertainment. One more thing. Yes the DVD is a No-Frills DVD. I ordered mine on-line. Most on line websites will give a good description of what "Extras" are on the DVD. I read them before I bought my Titanic. Did you? What do you want to 15 bucks? Yes, They'll probably come out with a Collectors Edition with all the goodies you could possibly want. Wait for it then, and quit your moaning about a product that YOU chose to buy and were too stupid to read what you were buying. And if you bought it at a video store, you're either more ignorant than you sound or can't read. But geez, let's get real people. Did any of you ever hear some of the statistics when Titanic was released on VHS. Like 40 mile long caravan of 18 wheelers it took to make the 1st delivery. There are more amazing facts like this. Yeah, all you 1 star people, it was a terrible movie.

Summary: A kick-ass DVD!
Review: I've seen the European Version of the Titanic DVD and I really like it. I've seen it on my PC with a 19" Trinitron Screen by Sony and (only) in Stereo. I found the sound to be very good, although I saw it only in Stereo, cauz my Surround speakers are not connected to my system at the moment, it seemed to be surround. Especially the whole sinking part seemed to be almost real! Also the graphics quality was very good even though it is an anamorphic DVD. Very good technical realisation + an even better Movie: BUY IT!

Summary: The Greatest of them All
Review: This is the greatest movie ever made and I am so sorry so many of you don't appreciate it...oh well, your loss. There is no movie more beautiful or more watchable, ever. Just ask my VCR.

Summary: For the tragic romantic...you will love it
Review: Well, it upsets me when someone says something as immature as "I hated this movie!" but there you go...but if you have at least one romantic bone in your body, you have to have some appreciation for this incredible piece. Forget about the hype, forget about Leonardo Di Caprio (he is good, but he is not, as a lot of yahoo Hollywood goers want to believe, who carries the film) and for those of you who unfortunately saw Cameron yell " I am king of the world" like a showoff at the Academy Awards, try to forget that, too. Yes, what took place historically with the Titanic was tragic, and who wants to make light of that? But what better way to bring you to that time in history than a love story so brilliantly carried by Kate Winslet, one of the better more true actresses of our time and such incredible direction from many talented people. Even my father, who HATES epic long films, was shocked at how much he enjoyed watching it at least once. And I recently heard spooky author Stephen King cried...so it can reach some favorite film until this once came along, but I have to admit, if Kate had not been Rose, it would not have been near as good. Tragic? Yes. But so was a film like "Braveheart" which I found to be violence for violence sake. This movie being so popular sends a message to Hollywood; more romance, more history, good actors. For those who thought characters were not developed? Think about it, who has time on a sinking ship? They did the best they could with what they had. Thank you.

Summary: Short and sweet "JUST GREAT"
Review: Before seeing it, when I have noticed how long this movie supposed to be, I knew that I wan't last that long... When it was over it seemed that no time has pass. It is a classic to see it many times, over and over, any time when I can spare the time, then I watch it again and again.
