Summary: The Titanic of all Movies
Review: This movie is definately the Titanic off all movies. It belongs on the bottom of the ocean. Never in my life has a movie been so extremely boring. After the first tape I had to give up. I could not torture myself anymore.

Summary: What?
Review: All I had to say at the end was "what". I cannot believe after all everybody said about it being good, it turned out this horrible. The special effects were good, and the overall movie was okay, but did they really have to make it a love story? It would have been just as good--maybe even better-- if they left the love out. I mean, maybe a little, but the nudity, the sex scene, come on! This is supposed to be about the Titanic, not about teenagers. They should have been a little more realistic about the puppy love. Two teenage kids, not over 17 or 18, having sex. If you want a great movie that is truthful that leaves out fiction to try to make it better, get Schindler's List. It has to do with real tragedy and horror. Don't get me wrong, the Titanic was a big tragedy, but the love scene and nudity and language could have been taken out, and it would have been so much better. Once again, no offense, but why did James Cameron want to put something completely fiction into the truthful tragedy? Believe me, this movie did not float on my enjoyment.

Summary: Titanic: Empty Bombast
Review: Empty spectacles are nothing new to Hollywood, but only in the 1990s could $200 million be spent on an antihistorical treatment of such a recent event. The 1990s are the era of production professionalism --- the sets, costimes, and cinematography are predictably expert --- and null creativity. No disaster is richer in meaning than the sinking of Titanic, the ship built and underequipped on naked human hubris, but direcot James Cameron failed to even notice the philosophical subtext --- or make any other point. Since the original story wasn't exciting enough, director James Cameron added a cliched romance, stereotypical bad guys, and pre-adult social commentary... we should require more of our art.

Summary: A good film, but not one of the best
Review: Is there a way that you can make a film bigger than its intended subject? Yes and "Titanic" is proof! I agree "Titanic" is a touching film, but I don't believe it is so very "moving" as it has been coined; it is too racked in sentamentaliy to have that effect. Underneath, it is an extremely well made film, Cameron's attention to detail is astounding; the special effects, the score, even the lighting were truly magnificent! At the films heart though, it is a dramatic piece, and judging by the standard by which you judge them, it isnt great. The realtionship between the two main characters never seems fully relized, and the film is so focused on these two that the other personal tragedies never really come to light. All in all it is a good film but it is certainly not one of the best.

Summary: THE GREATEST FILM OF ALL TIME
Review: This movie made me cry and laugh. The only disappointment was the explicit language and nude scene. The acting was great, and the whole movie was very exciting. The scenes where the Titanic is sinking are so amazing. This is the best love story I have ever heard or seen, and the soundtrack and theme "My Heart Will Go On" are perfect. I cried and cried continuously throughout the movie. James Cameron has definitely proven his ability as a director, and Leonardo DiCaprio did farely well as an actor. But Kate Winslet made it so believable! If you like action and love stories you MUST get this movie! Hear this from a 13 year old!

Summary: One of the best movies of all time. Thank you James Cameron
Review: Wow! The cinematography was absolutely flawlwss. I didn't think much of DiCaprio before this movie. He did an outstanding job playing "Jack".

Summary: Lame love story
Review: I thought the love story was really lame. Leonardo de Caprio and Kate Winslett just can't act to save their lives. ANd they really didn't seem to go well with each other.

I will say one thing though, the cimemotography was beautiful. For all of you who didn't care for the dialogue and acting like myself, I recommend seeing this movie without any volume...you'd be surprised how much better it is without listening to Leo and Kate's obnoxious lines.,,

Summary: It figures...
Review: I lose a lot of respect for a person's taste when I hear them say "I loved Titanic!" I mean, please... Titanic? One exasperated moviehouse owner, dismayed at the movie's popularity and thus extended run at his theater, would actively encourage people not to come to the "boat show" so he could stop showing the foul thing. Wake up, people! Why does popular always have to be so stupid?

Summary: A good history lesson for all those teen girls
Review: I won't rehash all the points good and bad. I'm just pleased that the girls who saw this film saw a moving example of how far women have come in this century. No text book could bring home that point better. I also wonder if the references to classism will open a few hearts to those who are different by virtue of financial standing. An impressive history lesson...
