Review: I'm sick of this avoiding-the-bandwagon deal. It was a well-executed movie that would normally be considered a work of art if it wasn't for the pompous people who want to take the alternative route so they seem "intellectual." So the love story can be considered trite. YOU try writing a full-length movie about a ship sinking (without losing your audience). Bravo, Monsieur Cameron.

Summary: A GOOD FILM BUT NOT DESERVING OF ALL IT'S OSCAR AWARDS
Review: I found TITANIC to be a good film but not the best I've seen and here's why. I thought that the movie focused too much on DICAPRIO'S and WINSLET'S characters love affair than really what went on in that fateful voyage. The romance aspect gets too drawn out also I would have rather seen more of a focus on some of the real people on the TITANIC, such as the STRAUSSE'S ASTOR'S and MOLLY BROWN. I think that would have made the movie a whole lot better don't get me wrong the music and effects are spectactcular but I don't think that this film should've gotten all the awards it did. I think if you want to see a great movie that should've gotten some oscars see AMISTAD instead.

Summary: Basically a great movie, better than expected.
Review: I have to admit, I did NOT want to see this movie. I remember as a child seeing the original, and remember being so depressed and sad that so many people had died so tragically. I hate movies that leave me feeling depressed. But after urging from my kids, I did watch it, and if you could cut the nude scenes, it was a much better movie than I anticipated. The ending left one with hope that death was maybe just the beginning. The casting was great, I believe the actors did a good job. Special effects were much better than the old movie. The theme song was perfect, depicting a love not everyone is favored to find in life. The historical sense was wonderful, and reminded us that so many people, loved by someone somewhere, lost their lives. Technology has made great strides in ship construction, and the Titanic played a great part in it. History, after all, is what shapes our future.

Summary: The Most Overrated Film I Have Ever Seen
Review: The fact that this film won 11 Oscars defies all logic. DiCaprio and Winslet are horrible, the script is cliched and preachy, and the movie jusssst . . . drrrragsssss . . . onnnnnn! After 2 hours I look up at the damn screen and cry out, "JUST SINK ALREADY!!!". This film deserved NONE of the praise it gained. It did NOT deserve to earn $600 million, and it most definitely did NOT deserve to win the Best Picture Oscar. It just goes to show you: the Oscars are no longer decided by the quality of the film, but instead, by its budget. Thank you, and good night.

Review: Hype is all it is. That and pretty faces. What fluff. How about watching some real films? By that I mean intelligent, exciting human dramas, not Hollywood blockbusters.

Review: Titanic was good, but 11 academy awards? One of the best movies of all time? No and no! This movie was good, but it tied Ben Hur......how on earth it did that is amazing. In the end Titanic is no more than a drama with a realistic twist. As one man put it, "The boat sank, get over it!"
