Summary: Pretty Good. Weak at Points.
Review: I saw this movie when it first came out and i liked it alot. Then i got to thinking about all the people that really died and I thought that Cameron could have spent more time foccusing on the people that died. Not just the two star crossed lovers. It seems great at first. I recommend you see it. Many people liked it, but you can make your own decision.

Review: Although the special effects were great, the acting and the lines really needed work. Winslet and Di Caprio were not at all convincing and the whole cheesy "love" story ruined a film that could have been even better if someone else, besides a man who has divorced 5 times (and counting) wrote it. However, I loved the music, the set, and the crash scenes, which were done very well and realistically.

Review: Let me be straight forward: there are tons of better movies than Titanic. The music and photography are excellent. The plot and acting belong to the third tier at best. Kate's performance pales against her perfect acting in "Jude". Di Caprio must be one of the worst actors I ever watch.

Summary: Great special effects cover for average acting and dialogue
Review: Okay, I own this on video and have seen it a few times (more than a few), and I will admit it makes me cry, but the acting is only average IMHO. Sorry to all you Leo-lovers, but the only thing good about him in this movie is his face. Kate Winslet and Kathy Bates are the only actors in this movie who deserve any mention, and even they have to deal with corny dialogue. If you want to see a good movie with those 2, check out Jude (Kate Winslet), and Primary Colors (Kathy Bates will rip your heart out). Special effects are super though, and yes, the love story is touching. I would like to have seen more dedicated to the real people of the Titanic; after all, more than 1500 people died, not just a fictional Jack Dawson.

Review: Zero stars. Not even one for the special effects. Yes, the FX were good for a movie with a $20 million dollar budget, utterly horrible for one with a $200 million dollar budget. Bad dialogue, an utterly unbelievable ham villain, countless anachronistic distractions, & an insult to those who died on the Titanic ("nope, none of your lives are worth puttin' on the big screen. Let's put on some fake, shiny-teethed, teenage twits). I can't believe this beat "L.A. Confidential" at the Oscars. I also can't believe the man who directed "Aliens" made this. I dread 80 years from now when the "SwissAir 220: a love story" movie is made.

Review: I really liked the suspense in the movie. It was th best movie I have seen yet. My whole family liked the movie.

Review: To me it was THE best movie I have ever seen. When all those people were locked in like animals, I wanted to jump right in the movie and save them myself. And to tell all those rich yuppies to get the hell away and let the children get into the boats. Like I said before it was the best movie I have seen in a long time. Thank you.

Review: Fantastic setting and good music. However the plot is trite and acting is contrived. Kate gave superb performance in the 1996 movie "Jude". Her performance is dissapointing here though it's much better than the actor.The movie's success is, in my opinion, very much undeserved.

Review: I Have always been fascinated with the Titanic disaster and I went to see the movie not because of the love story,which also helped,but to see what it was like to be on the worlds largest liner,and I was not disappointed. It was and is a great movie and I would recommend it to any body who would love a good love story or if you are fascinated about the legend of Titanic like I am.
