Review: At first, I didn't want to see Titanic. It just looked fake and boring. Then I found out when I watched it that I was wrong. It was even more fake and more boring than I thought it would be. I recommend that no one else sees this movie.

Summary: TITANIC: ENOUGH SAID
Review: Titanic was the most amazing movie I have ever seen, granted Leonardo Dicaprio's acting could have used a little more. Kate Winslet was the star that shone the brightest. I tend to be drawn towards movies based on actual events. (Braveheart, Schindler's List) I would change nothing in this movie. For those of you criticizing the movie for the fictional love story between Jack and Rose, that was an ingenious maneuver to draw the entire world into the story and begin to experience it...not just watch it. That is what movies are for. If you wanted nothing but facts, watch the Titanic stories on the Learning Channel. I highly recommend this to everyone young and old and in between. You will be in another world for the next 3 hours of your life. James Cameron did an outstanding job. He took the story of Titanic and sunk it right to the bottom of our hearts.

Summary: Titanic falls short of media expectations
Review: I admit I saw this movie because of Leo. I have enjoyed his work since I first saw him on Growing Pains, though I always thought he'd be better suited for the stage. He did not disapoint me...he was stellar as usual, it was an emotional, and believable preformance even if the script fell short. However, his co-star Kate Winslet left much to be desired...here is a tip Kate, try shivering when you are cold. As far as the script goes, it was full of holes...the biggest being a mistake of many greater movie makers than James Cameron. Rose was telling the story...yet how did she know about the things that happened when she was not present? Many of the characters died before they would have had a chance to explain. It would have been more effective/believable if she only told stories about events she was actually present for. It's funny how with a 200 million dollar budget, there were still sound and editing errors through the whole thing. Perhaps the editors should have come to postproduction class with me before hand to learn a little about fading the sound before switching to a quiter scene. There is no need to make the audience jump out of their seats in a drama. Overall, I was disapointed with this film, yet still oddly entertained.

Review: The soul of this movie does not lie on Rose and Jack, but on the other characters, the minors. No, I'm not talking about the grumpy Captain, but the people who made the Titanic what it was. The Baker, who unfortunately got cut out in most of the movie, really did in fact drink alcohol while the ship was sinking. The musicians were such sweet people to add in, adding in a touch of humanity. And even the rats that were running up to save themselves were worth the scenes taken of them. A lovely movie, which would have been better if Rose and Jack were played by better actors.

Summary: True Form of Art
Review: The makeup, costumes, set, design, and above all computer imagery add more to this movie than it would have been without. Sad to say that Cameron chose such dumpy people (Winslet & Dicaprio) to play the lovers, it was such a laugh. If the acting was much better on their parts, this movie would have won more Oscars and awards than it expected.

Summary: I watched it again but still ...
Review: I took everyone's advice and watched Titanic a second time but guess what. Still hated it. This movie is an insult to the true victims for several reasons. There was way too much comic relief for my taste. For example the scene where Jack and Rose simultaneously tell the British sailor to "Shut up!" Too cute for such a serious situation. How about the disgusting scene where Jack ridicules a Priest for quoting a comforting scripture to a group of frightened passengers. You have to listen very carefully but the ridicule is there. Too much cutzy stuff is the reason why Hollywood stinks nowadays. The special effects are okay but this movie is proof that Tinseltown relies too much on glitter and glitz instead of a story which is faithful to the truth. I am quite sure very few jokes were told while the actual ship was sinking; I'm sure a Priest was not a target of ridicule either. Instead of resorting to frivolity and contrivance to make the big bucks Titanic should have been about the victims. Jack and Rose were not victims just Hollywood silliness.

Summary: James Cameron is a sell out
Review: I have liked James Cameron films in the past, but as I sat down to watch Titanic, I wasn't able to finish it. Something I can only describe as a spectral projection of James Cameron materialized in my room. He desecrated my tomb, and I began speaking in tongues. After a hard-fought battle, he slammed me against a wildebeast and left me lying in a pool of my own blood. Suffice to say I didn't like Titanic. James Cameron and his doppleganger are sad, sad pangolins.

Summary: best movie ever
Review: This movie was very exciting and romantic. It had all the literary elements. Its elements included: irony, villian, hero, foreshadowing, analogies, and romance. The cinematography was excellent. Special effects also wonderful. The costumes were brilliant. Best actors were Mr. Andrews, Rose(old and young), and Jack. The recreation of the ship was awesome and in great detail. The music selections could not have been any better.
