Summary: SERIOUS DRAMA
Review: As a film critic, I have to tell you that Colorz Of Rage is an inspirational film that speaks of the seemingly never changing plague known as racism. I was asked to watch this film by one of my students at a middle school I teach at. She was literally crying about an interracial relationship she is involved in. In Colorz Of Rage, Dale Resteghini tackles the subject with a true story told with complete passion and honesty and challenges us as a people to recognize what not has the white man does for us lately but what have we done for ourselves. He points blame at no one but lets us point it at ourselves. Racism on all levels is an atrocity and should not ever be tolerated. I believe that his abitlity to tell such a touchy subject with an array of complicated characters and shooting in several cities was worthy of the Grand Jury Best Film at Sundance award, an award that it did not receive but should have. If you look at the films that competed in 1999 none have gone on to accomplish what Colorz Of Rage has both from a financial stand point or career stand pointr for the director.

Summary: Very Well Done
Review: As far as urban indies go and to even a larger extent independents in general, this film stands shoulder to shoulder with if not head and shoulders above many of the Sundance favorites of the last ten years. I expect that the young man behind this film will be a force to be reckoned with for some time.

Summary: Truth in film!
Review: Bottom line is that this film written, produced and directed by Dale Resteghini which by the way was his first film, speaks the truth about today's race relations. Black and white people get along better but the issues that divided us 100 years ago still divide us today...so this film asks the question why? Why is it that two people from two different cultures who fall in love have to be subjected by other peoples issues and ignorance. This is a compelling film worthy of serious converstaion and I suppose that 50 years from now when race relations are still divied by the same issues of today that this film will be a place to point to for retrospective thought. I'd like to thank the people that made this film happen despite it's indie film circumstances, the film is truly beautiful and amazing done with a style and passion that most studio films lack.

Summary: GREAT INDIE MOVIE
Review: Bottom line is that this is a good story told well from a first tme director. It's not to exploitive and as a woman I am glad to see that he did not use the usual sell out shots of sex and drugs. Redman was sweet in his featured role and the music was INCREDIBLE. Of course being an indie without any money will hurt his production value, but the heart and soul of the story makes this an amazing debut. Can't wait to see more from this very talented newcomer.

Summary: Solid!
Review: I can't believe Redman was in this movie and I never heard about it and that Def Jam didn't help blow it up cause it was a real nice movie with good performances from him and Queen Pen who had a small but nice part.

Summary: WHOA!
Review: I cannot believe that this film did not get a theatrical release! This is an amzing film. Redman is hot in his film DEBUT also. With so many wack films being released on the big screen this film deserves some serious props to all who made it happen.

Summary: Impressive Debut
Review: I found this film after doing some research on Urban films with a focus on racial prejudice and have to admit was not expecting to see a "Real" story unfold before my eyes. Knowing that a few rappers such as Redman was cast in the film, I expected to see a simple minded exploitive stereo-typical rapper film. Instead rather I was impressed to see genuine heart and soul being displayed both in the film and in the music. This film is one o those rare gems that people will discover years from now. I'm glad to be in on it now. Much love to all mankind.

Summary: AMAZING...PERIOD!
Review: I work for a distributor here in LA and we tried to acquire this film after our reps had seen it at the 99 Urbanworld Film Fest in NYC...unfortunately we were out bid for this film. This was the director's first film ever and he wrote and produced and starred in it for only 17 thousand dollars. He has surpassed Spike Lee and all the others in his film debut. For a man who had no film school education, he showed a tremendous and uncanny ability to pull this film off. His career is on it's way!

Summary: Fantastic First Film
Review: The bottom line here is this is an amazing film debut. Dale Resteghini has put forth the effort to qualify him to placed in the hierchy of first time filmmakers such as Spike Lee, Francis Ford Coppola, Steve Soderberg and Ed Burns. This is not an exploitive video director trying to be a feature film director turn in any form. Well done young man!
