Rating: Summary: One of the most romantic movies of all time!!!!!!!1 Review: I cried from the begining to end! there wasn't a dry face in the whole theater!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: A good movie Review: I rented this disc last night and it was a pretty good movie. The performances are the best part of the film, especially Gena Rowlands and Mae Whitman. Sandra Bullock gives her most nuanced performance to date.
Rating: Summary: Could have been better story. Review: A thin plot that dragged on without any redemption in the end. Bought it for my wife as a stocking stuffer on christmas. Would have been easy to find a much better movie. If you were entertained by this then you obviously are easily entertained. Not one of Sandra Bullocks better movies. The effort was a waste of her talents.
Rating: Summary: More kleenex, please! Review: I started crying after the first half hour and didn't stop until I was driving home from the theater! A wonderful movie, Bullock and Connick make a very romantic couple. All the acting is superb. The makeup people even found a way to make Sandra Bullock look BAD! Now that's talent! Definitely a must for your collection if you are a romantic at heart.
Rating: Summary: Can we go lower than 1 star? Review: I waited and waited for this movie to come out on video because I had missed it in theaters. It was a HUGE waste of my time. Sandra Bullock STUNK in this movie. Normally she's great. The soundtrack stinks and I think adults didn't even like it, I know most teenagers didn't. We all thought this was going to be a romantic love story, not about a guy being totally boring the whole movie while trying to win some girls heart. This was a total waste of time and it took way too long to get the story down. I mean the first time she actually considers going out with him, it's been an hour. Most people turned it off because it takes her 55 minutes just to realize she loves him. Then they waste more time on this and that. This movie gets half a star and if they had it, that's what I would put. I don't recomend this movie at all. The people who gave it 5 stars are nuts.
Rating: Summary: Very moving; I felt like I was really part of this movie. Review: This movie seemed very realistic, maybe because it is "realistic". Sandra really redeemed herself as a serious actress after the Speed 2 fiasco. This movie touched the hearts of many viewers. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAATTTTTTT! Review: It was a very GOOD movie
Rating: Summary: I LOVED IT! Review: I thought it was great and i cried through the whole movie!I hope you all enjoyed it too.
Rating: Summary: Really realistic, if you grew up in a small Texas town. Review: What I liked best was the setting. Could say there is some bias. Filmed in my home town, Sandra and Harry acted right at home and fit right in during the filming. The story line touched on many of the small town themes personally observed over the years...from football hero marrying cheerleader queen, to the big divorce, to many who came home for help in raising small children, to finding there is lots of happiness in life even when we don't live up to our own expectations. If you grew up and love a small town anywhere, Hope Floats may make you homesick.
Rating: Summary: A terrific heart-warming, mind opening movie. Review: This seemed to be another "Chick Flick" when it opened. Yet, Sandra Bullock adds a new twist to "searching for yourself." The words, descriptions, uncoiling of her character, her daughter's character and her mother' character make this a refreshing movie. It was down to earth but not typical or boring. The interesting thing was that although there were a few sad parts in the story I didn't feel upset afterwards rather enlightened in some ways. Mothers and daughters should definitely see this together.
