Summary: all that could be told
Review: Panther explains the building foundations for the corruptness of the government and the silencing of the BLACK PANTHER PARTY. This movie places great emphasis of how our cultural world exploits, degrades, and humiliates the AFRICAN-AMERICAN people, through the eyes of the government. Panther is one of many movies that should be viewed, shared and remembered. All characters protrayed in this movies have done an outstanding job bringing the best and the worst of the BLACK PANTHER organization. Explaining in format through scenes, of how the infiltration, conspiracys, and the lynching of the urban world continued to grow.....Once again, PANTHER is a movie to remember

Summary: knowledge is power
Review: Panther is about education...it is about erasing the brainwashing that has been perpetrated on our people for centuries.

Until we understand and we believe that the conspiracy is a fact and not a theory, we will always be under subjection.

Panther is the beginning of the education. Excellent start.

Summary: If Your Afraid of Panther Your Afraid of Yourself
Review: Simply the finest (late night) fick ever to be made. I'm down with Panther, "down like four flats on a dump." In my opinion, all those poor reviews by the man, was just another case of him putting his billyclub up side our head.

The whole premise of Panther is what America is based on -Revolution against the opressor. (or in our prejudices, did we forget that the Monarchy in England had his billy club up side our heads till we decided to something about it.)

"What do we want?" "Justice!" Justice for all the poor reviews that came out on this Flick. Anything less than 5 stars is counter-revolutionary.

Summary: The film does what it is supposed to do..
Review: This film does not tell the entire story of the Black Panther Party. No film could realistically scrape the surface of the party's vast history. What this film does do is peak curiosity. It causes one to think. It causes one to explore how history (black history in particular) has been portrayed in America. Simply put, Panther is one of the top 5 most powerful films I have ever seen (the other four are Rosewood, Malcolm X, Amistad, and Roots, in no particular order).

Summary: fear of a black planet
Review: this just goes to show you that whenever my folks speak about something other then what was taught to them to say, america gets nervous. the black panters was one of the greatest things to happen to the "real" upliftment" of africans. this movie is just as good as andy kaufman, hoffa, the patriot, and any other good ole' "american" movie. but it just so happens that this movies teaches blacks that together as one we can control our destiny. and that my friends scares amerikkka.

Summary: MUST SEE!!! JUDGE FOR YOURSELF
Review: This movie did not recieve the accolades that it rightfully deserved. I am only 23 and so I was not around when the Panther Party originated. However, throughout my life I've heard conflicting stories about what the party was about.
This movie was GREAT for clearing up myths and misconceptions because of 3 reasons: #1) many times African-American history is told through the eyes of White people. For example: Amistad and Mississippi Burning. While the latter was a great film, it conveyed the message that for every great African-American achievement there was a White savior. Panther was different, it was told through the eyes of a Black man. #2) Actual Black Panthers participated in the making of this film. While there are numerous theories on what this party represented, the presence of actual members should've helped to clear up misconceptions. #3.) This movie showed the humanity not only of the Panthers but also of the racist people who tried to disband them.
This movie was great so don't deprive yourself of seeing.

Summary: Moving, Riveting and Underrated
Review: This movie piqued my interest in doing further research on the Black Panther Party. I found the movie to not only be entertaining, but very enlightening. It shows how social injustice and racism were institutionalized and clandestinely orchestrated from the nation's top levels.

I was a little disappointed in the ending (it was anticlimactic to the riveting events leading up to it). However, I believe this flick is much more powerful for the informational aspect, entertainment value (humor, drama, all that) and eye-opening truth than critics have given it credit for.

Summary: LIES LIES LIES!!!!!DAMN LIES
Review: Want to know what these thugs and killers were really like ?Read David Horowitz's "Radical Son",and "Destructive Generation",also by David Horowitz, and Peter Collier. You'll never think of these black racist devils and their supporters(both black and white)as anything close to heroes,EVER again.

Review: When I was younger, I was told in school, about how the BPP was a racist group of black people who hated white people. When the movie came out, I never knew half of things about the BPP from what I was taught in school, in our history books. I felt Mario Van Peebles did an excellent job on the movie, he obviously could not capture all the events. But, he did capture the main turnkey events. I also did alot of additional research on the BPP, & found alot of Mario Van Peebles story were exactly the same. Alot of people critize Mario for the movie, & I would like to know, how would they tell this story?
