Rating: Summary: I saw this at the show when it came out . Review: It was a late show. I was tired so maybe thats why the jokes were funny. But I saw this on cable about 5 year later and it was still funny. "The Dice Man" has a bit part and his jokes are so bad there good. Billy Barty (one of the munchkins) is the police chief who lies, farts and vows to drive all the hookers out of town (in his car)! It was low budget but nobody took it seriously maybe that's why is wasen't offensive (like so many of the new supposedly "funny movies" of today)
Rating: Summary: Remember the Unknown Comic from the Gong Show? Review: It's him in a low budget but high laughter romp. Langston is a Los Angeles policeman who gets involved in all of the predictable low comedy situations by day and moonlights as the unknown comic with a grocery bag over his head at night. Everything works well for a while, until he's teamed up with Pat Paulsen (in his last notable role, and really his first funny one) on night patrol, when the cops are even less responsible. The humor is rank and generally wedded to sight gags ala Airplane and abundant body function jokes. Actually, I thought Langston's Unknown Comic routine was very funny. The whole movie is if, like me, your sense of humor still functions at an adolescent level. I recommend it, although not for those with sensitive attitudes.
Rating: Summary: The most gloriously politically incorrect comedy ever made Review: OK, so this movie is definitely not for everyone. It's rude, crude, and offensive, but, taken at the level of a guilty pleasure, it must be considered some kind of a classic. This film aims not so much below the belt, but more like straight towards the gutter. It's targets include gays, women, minorities, police, and almost every other group imaginable. Now that you've been warned, those who are not easily offended will most likely laugh their lips off at everything from the oft-repeated theme song("LAPD"), to the I-can't-believe-these-people-are-in-it cast, which includes "Gong Show" alumni such as Jaye P. Morgan and The Unknown Comic to faded names like Pat Paulsen and Linda Blair to actual stars like Pat Morita (in one of the most surreal scenes ever) and Andrew Dice Clay. More importantly, especially in the post-Rodney King era, it paints LA cops as degenerates who get high with the drug dealers they should be busting and blithely shooting innocent bystanders like its no big deal. All in all, not to be missed for fans of bad taste.
Rating: Summary: a laugh riot Review: one of the most watched, funniest movies of all time. The unknown comic, and pat paulson are just a few of the stars of this great comedy. Don't pay any attention to critics who gave bad reviews of this movie, this one will have you rolling on the floor with laughter.
Rating: Summary: When I get outta here.............LOL Review: The funniest s#!+ I've ever seen!
Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE FUNNIEST MOVIES EVER MADE. Review: THE UNKNOWN COMIC AT HIS BEST. THIS MOVIE IS SO OUTRAGEOUS, YOU'LL LAUGH FROM START TO FINISH. A REALLY DEMENTED WRITER HAD TO BE RESPONSIBLE. I LOVE IT. DON'T MISS IT. I PLACE IT BESIDE CADDYSHACK AND USED CARS.
Rating: Summary: laugh the night away Review: They don't make 'em like this anymore:the low budget schlockfest populated with third rate actors(though the Linda Blair cameo was a hoot).I remember this movie airing almost nightly on HBO for two or three years in the mid 80's and I recall watching it most of the times it played. This film is strictly for buffs of Airplane! type goofoff movies loaded with ridiculous sight gags and crude humor. This movie is not to be taken seriously in the least. It has absolutely no social redeeming value whatsoever, and if you are up for a barrage of nonsense then pick this slice of cinematic absurdity for your viewing pleasure.
Rating: Summary: one of the funniest movies of all time! Review: this is one of the funniest movies of all time. this and the naked gun are the two most funniest movies of all time. but night patrol is maybe funnier. i mean in maltin's summary he said this movie has one-lines you won't believe. that's totally true, but maltin still gave this movie a bad rating. but i don't care. night patrol has the most off the wall crude jokes you'll ever see. i can just think of a joke in this movie is start bustin' out laughing. you just have to see this movie.
Rating: Summary: The Laughs Never Stop Review: This movie is a million laughs. Melvin is a somewhat naive cop who moonlights as the Unknown Comic at night. Jaye P. Morgan in all her wonderful glory plays his agent. Someone is impersonationg the Unknown Comic and robbing places of business. Keep your eyes and ears open for all the funny gags in this movie. A must see!
Rating: Summary: A fun and entertaining movie Review: This movie is fun to watch. It's not one of those roll on the floor comedies, but it is amusing. If you like stupid/crude humor you will enjoy this flick.
