Summary: breakout role
Review: The Butterfly Effect was an incredible movie with an incredible star. Ashton Kutcher did a phenomenal job in this movie. He really does a great job breaking away from his normal comedy roles. I can't stand how all of the critics are bashing him. Not one person I have talked to didn't like the movie. After the movie played in FULL theater, everyone clapped. The only reason that these critics are giving this movie such bad reviews is because they are jealous.
I think Ashton Kutcher is incredibly talented and everyone should be aploding him for this movie.

Summary: Excellent film that makes you think!!
Review: I saw this movie the second night after it opened at the theaters. Ashton Kutcher plays the role well. This movie keeps you thinking throughout. I have heard alot of bad things on the radio since its opening, obviously they havent seen the film. Many critics are complaining that Ashton Kutchers acting is questionable in this film, all I have to say to those people is, what was the name of the last movie you were in???
The Butterfly Effect is one of a kind!! Go see it, you wont be disappointed.

Summary: Bad picture to be shown on the Sci-Fi channel
Review: This movie was just like those incredibly bad made for cable movies that the Sc-fi channel shows all the time. Cast of zero name/zero talent actors who have no script to work with. Tons of terrible cgi and other Roger Corman effects to work with. And we are supposed to care about what happens to them, when we want nothing more then to walk out of the theater in distaste of the picture, which I did. I hope never to see such a film again.

Summary: mentally and visually entertaining
Review: As a teenage girl I have to admit part of me went to see Ashton Kutcher, but I was really blown away by the movie. You really feel like you know the characters; I was completely involved in the story. The concept is really intriguing and the shots are done really well. I thought some of the dialogue got kinda cheesey, but it was definitely worth my money.

Summary: Delicious and intelligent
Review: People who say "this movie made no sense" were not paying attention. Everything in this movie was deliberate. It is very difficult to find a hole in this plot if you are reasonably smart and are actually trying to follow the story (rather than, say, laughing because hahaha amputees are funny, some jackass in the theatre thought ashton with no arms was a real riot). It is rare for a movie that sets up so many mysteries to do such a thorough job of answering every question it brings the audience to ask.

It was one of the most engrossing films I have ever seen. It takes you on an (admittedly very dark) journey through the process of changing the past, and does it well. It's an interesting, novel take on the often poorly-done theme of time travel. This was one of the best movies I have ever seen, though I admit that it was so intense and disturbing at times that I almost wanted to leave (it seemed impossible that it could end in any remotely satisfying way). However, I was VERY GLAD to have stayed, as the movie had good resolution and, after offering many ambiguous and unsatisfying outcomes, tied up loose ends.

I strongly recommend this movie if you think you have the stamina for witnessing some pretty messed up stuff. I promise you, it works out ok in the end.

Summary: Extremely Good BUT Extremely Disturbing
Review: I first was interested in seeing the butterfly effect for ashton kutcher and the thrill that came along with it, but when i read a review in the paper the day it came out i realized how incredibly disturbing this movie was going to be. I thought the performances by ashton kutcher, amy smart and ethan suplee were ver well done and i thought the movie as a whole was very good and clever but this movie is extremely graphic, horrifying and disturbing. But worth it, if you are able to stand those types of movies. I give it four stars.

Summary: The most greatest and emtional movie
Review: I was looking so foward to seeing this movie since December and finally saw it on it's release date. I was so suprised and very pleased to see this movie, and with the emtions that it had given to me. It's to the point where I am anxious to watch again. While watching the movie, it made me realize that changing one thing in your past will destroy and change everything to your present and your future. It makes you understand that things happen for a reason and that you should appreciate the wonderful things that you have going on for yourself now. The strongest part is expressing to never give up with anything no matter how rough life may go. I truly recommened viewing this film, you won't regret it.

Summary: "The Butterfly Effect" is well made!
Review: "The Butterfly Effect" is one of the best well made movies in recent history. Ashton Kutcher's performance as Evan Treborn, is emotionally convincing and powerfully strong. The rest of the cast are excellent. The directing by J. Mackye Gruber and Eric Bress is brilliant without compromise. The music by Michael Suby is brilliantly powerful without compromise. The cinematography by Matthew F. Leonetti is brilliant. The film editing by Peter Amundson is brilliant. The casting by Carmen Cuba is great. The production design by Douglas Higgins and the costume design by Carla Hetland is brilliant. The visual effects by Efilm is brilliant without compromise. This movie is well made down to its brilliant well made ending. Go see this movie right now, if you can.

Summary: A surprising movie
Review: I was surprised by Ashton Kutcher's performance. The acting in this movie was not the extreme best, but it was definitely outstanding. The storyline is suspenseful, sweet, original, and funny. The ending was perfect. I would not have wanted it to end any other way.

Summary: My top 10
Review: I just recently saw this movie and it made my top ten somewhere around 3. I am one for psychological type movies. This is one of the best ones I have seen in a long time. 5 STARS!
