Summary: 3-headed Ghidrah takes on Godzilla, Rodan and Mothra!
Review: "Ghidrah, the Three-Headed Monster" ("San daikaijû: Chikyu saidai no kessen," which literally translated as "Earth's Greatest Battle") is one of the better Godzilla movies, simply because this 1964 film has a three-headed monster named Ghidrah. It also has the Twin Fairies, the little friends of Mothra, which is indicative of the fact that this is a movie where Godzilla is now the good monster instead of the bad monster. Rodan and Godzilla are having a fight as Ghidrah shows up on earth courtesy of a meteor. Mothra convinces the two earth monsters to stop fighting each other and the trio go off to fight Ghidrah; apparently you need three monsters to fight a three-headed monster and have three times the fun.

There are, believe it or not, also some actual human beings running around in this film, such as Professor Miura (Hiroshi Koizumi), Mas Selina Salno, Princess of Sergina (Akiko Wakabayashi), and a Chief Assassin (Hisaya Ito), but these subplots are all just things to fill in the lulls between the fighting monsters which is the reason we are gathered here to watch. This film was also known as "The Biggest Battle on Earth," "The Biggest Fight on Earth," "The Greatest Battle on Earth," "The Greatest Fight on Earth," "Three Giant Monsters: The Earth's Greatest Decisive Battle," "Monster of Monsters," and just plain "Ghidrah" (I sort of miss the old days when studios tried to trick you into seeing the same B-movie more than once by giving it another name). Whatever the title this is a favorite for kids because it offers more monsters and more Tokyo stomping that your average Godzilla film.

Interestingly enough, in the Japanese version it is Venus that was destroyed by Ghidrah, but in the American version this is changed to Mars (as is the home of the alien possessing the princess). Just remember, the Japanese version is from Venus, the American version from Mars...

Summary: WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY THIS!
Review: "Ghidra The Three Headed Monster (1965)" is an Illegal BOOTLEG and not a official release. Many poor fans have been ripped off by this terrible DVD-R. The cover is made on cheap paper and printed with a low end home printer. The name of the movie is spelled wrong. The movie also claims to be wide screen, but it is pan and scan full screen. The print for the film is worst than VHS or anything I have ever seen. The dvd itself is a cheapo DVD-R with a green bottom and the ink label on it rubs off if you touch it. The maker does not have the rights to this movie.

Summary: Ghidra The Three Headed Monster - CineVu DVD
Review: **BOOTLEG**BOOTLEG**BOOTLEG**

This is one of the worst DVD's I have seen and a BOOTLEG to top it all off.

The DVD says its in widescreen but its NOT. The picture is so faded, washed out and grainy it isn't even watchable.

Save yourself $20 and avoid buying this garbage or atleast buy a decent bootleg someplace else.

Now I have to go write a letter to Amazon and try to get my money back.

Summary: Ghidrah, the Three Headed Monster is a must see.
Review: A huge, ugly, three horror from space comes to Earth and begins a rampage. A reformed Godzilla doesn't take to kindly to this. He teams up with Rodan and Mothra, and together they manage to get the beast off the Earth. Superb special effects. END

Summary: Pretty good movie.
Review: Actually this movie is pretty good but I don't like the fact that there is brain waves and a princess who thinks she is a martian prophetess.Other than that it is okay.

Summary: Buying this is a big mistake...
Review: Amazon recommended this to me a month after I picked up Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla. It looked like a fairly legit copy, although I didn't look at the enhanced size of the dvd cover, so I figured that even as a cheapo release it would be worth owning on dvd. However I failed to read the reviews which as has been mentioned this dvd is infact a bootleg, and a horrible horrible copy at that. I tried to run it on my playstation 2 and the dvd just makes horrible grinding noises when inserted and doesn't even play. The other reviews weren't off the mark with their claims that the ink on the label comes off easily because it did the same thing on mine. Also the dvd case itself is just about the most hideous thing i've ever seen, you could find a old jpeg of the original box and run down to your local copy store and print out a higher quality cover for under a dollar than the one this ships with. Since the movie didn't play I can't comment on the quality of the movie itself but I would speculate that its probably crap.

Summary: AVOID!!
Review: DO NOT BUY THIS DVD. Not only is it a poor quality sh*tty FULLSCREEN (despite saying widescreen on the cover) transfer, this DVD isn't even factory-pressed. IT'S ON A DVD-R.

This goes against Amazon.com's recordable-media policy doesn't it? Then why are they selling this?

To top it all off, this $20 rip off isn't even legit.

Same goes with CineVu's upcoming DVD of "Godzilla vs. Mothra", do yourself a favour and avoid all releases from this company.

Summary: Godzilla's best enemy.
Review: Ghidrah is simply the most awesome and ingenius enemy Godzilla ever had to go up against, and in any of their meetings was able to take him out alone. Ghidrah would simply seem like the monster that would most effciently destroy the human race. A little to sad to see the beginnings of Godzilla being a friend to mankind, Godzilla is at his complete best as an enemy.

Summary: Good movie, bad edition.
Review: Ghidrah the Three Headed Monster is one of my favorite Godzilla movies. I eagerly awaited this DVD to replace my ever so worn VHS copy. So, what did I get? Somebody with a copy of this movie on VHS that was even worse than mine transfered it to a DVD-R, printed out a really bad cover and label, and sold it.

That's right, it's a bootleg. A really bad bootleg. I have other bootlegs. They look better than this, and they cost less. I feel cheated.

Don't buy this.
