Review: XX/XY is compelling because it initially makes extraordinary situations seem strangely commonplace as we are drawn into the lives of three confused soulmates. Then, it leaps forward into the future and we watch the trio reunite unexpectedly, with tension, relief, and ultimately grief. Ruffalo is mesmerizing.
