Review: This movie was a good coming of age film. I thought the characters were well developed and the train scene kicked!!! All of the background the characters had made it seem realistic. Even if it's rated R, I think everyone needs to see it. It's what real filmaking is all about. No sex, No drugs, No guns, just honest to goodness movie magic.

Summary: TRULY MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME
Review: This movie marked my younger years. I'm now 22 and cried when I saw it again. My fiancee gave me this DVD as a birthday present. I couldn't believe it! I've been wanting this movie ever since I saw it for the first time and it is still just as incredible. Stephen King is one of our Great Masters. If you would like to read the story the movie is based on, then try to find the book "Different Seasons". The name of the story is "The Body". To speak of the DVD itself, I was a bit disappointed because of the complete lack of any features whatsoever. I do understand that this was one of the very first DVDs to come out on the market but they someday should come out with a fuller version. Other than that little problem, the movie more than compensates by being plainly overly excellent. Oh and by the way, I did watch this movie back in 86-87 when i was 9 or 10 years old. I cannot recommend this movie to children though because of the excessive use of bad language. F word and S word are used constantly. Now I don't think this affected me as a child but with people and society as they are today, you never know.... Please, though, watch this movie. It is wonderful. I would give it six stars if I could.

Summary: Sweet, touching, funny, thoughtful...
Review: Stand By Me is my absolute favorite movie... no other comes close. My husband and I had our first dance at our wedding to the song Stand By Me. The movie and the song say so much about love and friendship. It's hard to believe that those boys were only children when they gave their performances. The leeches, the train scene, the campfire scene all were true gems of comedy! I rarely like to watch movies more than once, but I would gladly see Stand By Me over any new release!

Summary: A GREAT FILM THAT BRINGS BACK MEMORIES
Review: A fun and delightful film about four friends that go on a campng trip to find a dead body, morbid as this may sound, this film is about becoming a man. There's plenty of laughs and adventures (dodging a train, a pond of leeches, and confrontations). Also the superb acting talents of the four youngboys, including the late River Phoenix. A great film for the whole family.

Review: This is a fantastic and inspirational film, in actual fact my favourite film of all time. The actors are all extremely talented and they act their parts convincingly. There are some funny one-liners which make the overall drama of the film JUST bearable. Of course, River Phoenix is gorgeous and excellent in this film. I would strongly recommmend anyone to see this film. The ending is quite depressing, even tear-jerking, and is possibly not for the faint hearted. Hey I should be a critic...

Review: This is a really great movie. I've seen it like a hundred times and still love seeing it and River's sexy body. It is really funny and sweet. Anyone who has not seen it definetely must see it. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll drool over River. It's fun!
