The actors were great and gave us a real insight into just what it takes to "be a part of something bigger than yourself." A must see and believe you me, i will again and again.

Review: What an incredible movie!!! I watch "The Temptations" all the time--I can't get enough of this movie. The actors are terrific, and I feel like I'm watching the real Temptations. Charles Ley, who played the part of Dennis Edwards is absolutely gorgeous!!! What else has he been in??

Review: I really enjoyed the movie that told the remarkable story about the temptations, I have seen this movie many times and have hipped my 10yr old daugther about the singing sensations, now she has enjoyed the movie several times also, and recognizes every Temptation song which airs on the radio. I especially enjoyed the performance of Terron Brooks who played the role of Eddie Kendricks, his performance was wonderful, I expecially admired his smiles throughout the movie, Help!!! someone please tell me where I can write to this star!!!!!

Review: I really enjoyed the movie alot. When I first saw it, I could not get enough of it. I watched it over and over agian, and each time was like the first. Christian Payton really portrayed Paul Williams charcter very well, and I know that his career will sky rocket if it hasn't already. I would love to meet him in person one day. He is a truly gifted person, and I hope to see him in other projects in the future.

Review: The Temptations on VHS or DVD (we recommend DVD becasue of its great advantages and special features) is one of the better made for TV miniseries to come along in a long time.

Although its 3-hour length still leaves many unanswered questions, the spectacular songs (of which all on stage performances except for "My Girl" and "Cloud Nine" were sung by the actors) and excellent perfomances by the actors make this movie one that you can enjoy time and time again.

The actors who portray Paul Williams, Eddie K., David Ruffin, Melvin Franklin and Otis Williams have all done their homework and then some. The DVD is only $13.99, cheaper than the video, so opt for the DVD.

This film highlights the life of the Temps from the eyes of its founder, Otis, and from the very beginning,when Otis meets Al (Eldridge Bryant--one of the first Temps prior to his dismissal)at a hop in Detroit, the movie kicks off in high gear. Excellent performances by "The Cadillacs,' ("Some people call me Speedo"), Leon (Johnson) of "Cool Runnings" Fame, Christan Payton and an unforgettable performance by Eddie Kendricks--so well done it seems like the real Kendricks--means you will this DVD watch again and again. Our favorite parts include the Copacabana scenes, "My Girl," auditioning for Berry at Motown's Hitsville USA, the whole Ruffin performance by Leon, "Just My Imagination," "Papa Was A Rolling Stone," Otis & The Distants at St. Stevens Hall with the Primes and the Primettes (Paul, Eddie and the soon to be Supremes) and a great performance by Smokey - both the actor and the real life Smokey himself in a special song at the Melvin Franklin Funeral. Buy this DVD. It will be the best $14 you'll ever spend on a movie. Fun for the WHOLE Family!!!

Review: I JUST COULDN'T GET ENOUGH. AS A HUGE FAN OF THE TEMPS, I LOVED IT!! ALTHOUGH I THOUGHT THEY COULD HAVE EXPLORED DAVID, EDDIE AND DENNIS'S SOLO CAREERS AND LIVES A LITTLE MORE. PAUL WAS EDDIE'S BEST FRIEND SO I KNOW HE WENT THROUGH HELL WHEN HE KILLED HIMSELF BUT, THE MOVIE DIDN'T TOUCH ON THIS ALSO, MY AUNT (WHO DIED IN '84)DATED EDDIE KENDRICKS AND THERE'S A SCENE IN THE TV VERSION WHERE HE'S SINGING (SOLO) AT SOME CLUB, AND TAKES THIS WOMAN'S HAND AND STARTS SINGING TO HER. MY SISTER AND I THINK THAT'S MY AUNT BECAUSE SHE SAID SHE MET HIM AT THE UPTOWN THEATRE HERE IN PHILLY ONE NIGHT AFTER A SHOW. THEY DATED FOR ABOUT A YEAR THEN LOST TRACK OF EACH OTHER. THEY RE-MET AT THE OLD LATIN CASINO NIGHTCLUB IN NEW JERSEY (IT'S GONE NOW) SHORTLY AFTER HE WENT SOLO. THE WAY SHE DESCRIBED IT WAS EXACTLY LIKE THIS SCENE. SHE DIDN'T THINK HE WOULD REMEMBER HER, BUT HE DID!!! ANYWAY, THE ACTORS' PORTRAYAL OF THESE GREAT MEN WAS OFF THE HOOK. MY 12YR OLD DAUGHTER LOVES EVERYTHING TEMPTATION NOW! MY ONLY PROBLEM WAS, THE SCENES FROM THE TV VERSION SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT IN. AND EXCEPT FOR THE AL, DAVID AND BERRY GORDY CHARACTERS, I DON'T KNOW WHO PLAYED WHO! (SOMEONE PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME) THE PAUL, EDDIE AND DAVID CHARACTERS WERE ON THE MONEY. THE LIP- SYNCHING AND DANCE STEPS WERE ALSO GREAT. I HOPE THERE WILL BE A PART TWO OR AT LEAST REISSUE THE TV VERSION. I CAN'T SEE HOW THIS DIDN'T WIN ANYTHING AT THE EMMYS!! PEACE,LOVE AND HAIRGREASE!

I NEVER KNEW WHAT THE PROBLEMS WERE BETWEEN DAVID RUFFIN AND EDDIE KEDRICK AND THE REST OF THE GROUP. I ALSO NEVER KNEW THAT PAUL HAD SHOT HIMSELF. I CRIED WHILE WATCHING THIS FILM. I HAD TO VIEW IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN BECAUSE IT MOVED ME. I CAN REMEMBER GOING TO THE WESTBUREY MUSIC FAIR, IN LONG ISLAND NEW YORK TO SEE RUFFIN AND KEDRICK FOR THE LAST TIME. I CAN REMEMBER HOW SAD I WAS WHEN I LEARNED ABOUT DAVID'S DEATH AND EDDIE'S DEATH.THIS FILM WILL MAKE YOU SMILE AND CRY. Review: I can't stop looking at this movie. The actors almost had me believing that they actually were The Temptations. They were excellent. The casting director could not have found a more talented group of actors. I loved all of them, but especially Terron Brooks' portrayal of Eddie Kendricks. This movie is definitely a must see. If there is a part 2, I hope that they get the same set of actors to play the roles.
