Summary: Teamed in Battle
Review: The world's greatest heroes will face their toughest challenge yet in the exciting animated adventure "Justice League: Starcrossed". A powerful armada from Hawkgirl's home world Thanagar has captured the entire Justice League and seized complete control of the planet Earth. Now, Hawkgirl must choose between her loyalty to Thanagar or her strong friendship with the League and the people of Earth. "Starcrossed" is the first-rate three-part second season finale of the popular Cartoon Network adventure series. Its amusing story features interesting characters, great use of dialogue and a satisfying emotional finish. This solid animated adventure contains terrific comic book action and colorful animation. It also features the fine voice talents of Phil LaMarr (Samurai Jack), Maria Canals (The Proud Family), Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville) and Carl Lumby (Alias).

If you're a fan of the Cartoon Network series, then "Justice League: Starcrossed" is a definite must-have DVD. Unlike the previous Justice League DVDs, the animated feature is presented in both full screen and 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen formats. The DVD contains a sharp video transfer and a great 2.0 Dolby Digital sound. Its supplemental features include the short "Hawkman: From Comics to Cartoon" featurette, deleted scenes, character biographies and an enjoyable tour of the Justice League Watchtower. With its pleasant viewing quality, "Starcrossed" earns a worthy "B+".

Summary: Beware of Thanagarians bearing gifts!
Review: This DVD serves two purposes: it concludes the television series, as fans know it, and sets the stage for the new incarnation known as "Justice League Unlimited". The movie is a fitting end to a show that has more winners than losers.

"Star Crossed" features the same exemplary voiceover work from Kevin Conroy (the voice of "Batman" since 1992), Carl Lumbly ("Martian Manhunter"), Phil LaMarr ("Green Lantern"), Maria Canals ("Hawkgirl"), Susan Eisenberg ("Wonder Woman"), George Newburn ("Superman") and "Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum as the fun-loving "Flash". Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. reprises his "Alfred" role from "Batman" and Hector Elizondo and Victor Rivers add their respective talents to the production.

The action is swift and the story line benefits from moments of character interaction, especially the romantic triangle among Hawkgirl, Katar Hol, and Green Lantern.

While the animation is not as stylized as that featured in "Batman: The Animated Series", it still has the contemporary blend of traditional and computer animation.

This is a film for the comic fan in all of us!

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: This is a wonderful animated movie! It works on all levels, the most important being it is simply a great story told with flair and very tight pacing. I actually find it hard to believe this was originally done as three television episodes. This is what I love, a great treatment of great characters that I have known and loved for so many years. This easily ranks with the best of the early Animated Batman's and I dare say is an even better animated film than "Mask of the Phantasm". And that is saying a lot.

If you are new to the Justice League or the DC Universe, you might walk away with a few questions, there is not a lot of extrapolation explaining who and what everybody is. The basic assumption is that you know who these guys are, well, everyone but Hawkgirl, and they cut right to the action. Again, Great!

Our heroes perhaps under-use their powers in the second act, but thankfully, they unleash them wonderfully in the end. Highly recommended.

Summary: JL Movie of the Year!
Review: Well... not so. As I can give 'Savage Time', 'Maid of Honor' and several other JL titles five stars. But that just because WB haven;t released the complete titles!!! (See!!! How many of us want the COMPLETE season 1 and 2 so much!!!)

Anyway, the story is great. Conflicts handled delicately. Love it when Batman tried to steer the Watchtower (my Batman... my watchtower), tho it meant sacrificing his own life. DVD features are great. Love the tour of the watchtower, especially. Also the other features of Hawkman and character bios. And the music! Man... Can't WB make a special JL screen saver with music on it? It's got to be awesome!

I'm a bit sad that Hawkgirl is leaving the league. But as many said, it is so hard to accept her again (soon, at least) after her double-cross. She's been my fave character, in addition to Wonder Woman, Batman and Jonn Jonz. Anyway... nice little touch in the end with GL.

And WW-Batman too! Or rather, Diana-Bruce; cause I couldn;t breath to see them 'pretend' kissing each other. I do hope that WB is not going to end their potential love story like GL and Hawkgirl (or like in JLA comic - sob!). Okay, I know kids watch the show as well... but a bit of love is ok, no? Especially after Shayera leaving GL, we have no other pair but Bruce-Diana (and the least told Superman-Lois).

Not a waste of money at all.

And so here we are again; the fans, waiting for other DVD collections of JL, hopefully the complete ones this time...

Summary: Justice League Starcrossed
Review: Why does Hawkgirl had to leave the League?????? Imagine in real life where you were in the Justice League Team and Hawkgirl, ( under some circumstances that she had to 'betray' you ), how would you feel? Would you allow her to continue to stay in the team? Will you be able to full trust her again? I'm sure even GL John Stewart will not fully trust her again ( due to his soldier character type ) and that's why Hawkgil has to go... for the moment. Well... anyway she'll be back in Justice League Unlimited in the episode 'Wake The Dead'. Catch her in action again then!!!!

Summary: The BEST of the entire series!
Review: Without a doubt the BEST JL EVER!! The fights, the script and the tragedy of the Green Lantern and Hawk Girl romance--excellent. Not to give away too many spoilers, but the revealing of secret identities in this was amusing and thoroughly enjoyable. Can you say sleep over at Wayne Manor?

I definitely look forward to the new season and would APPRECIATE IT IF WARNER BROS WOULD HURRY UP AND PUT OUT SEASONS 1 AND 2 ON DVD!! Thank you.

Great job, Bruce Timm!
