Summary: Excellent Drama
Review: I purchased this on DVD because I wasn't able to see it on TV. That was one of my greatest decisions ever. Both my wife and I were in awe with the quality of the acting and superb storyline. This is a can't miss, get it as soon as you can. It is definately the jewel of our collection.

Summary: glued to my seat
Review: I watched every episode of this series when it was on network television and I didn't change the channel during commercials. It was one of the fastest, most engaging hours of television programming I've seen in recent years. Although it is definitely violent I never felt that it was gratuitous. I appreciated the exploration of the grey area between good and evil in a man - Miguel. The acting was superb and I found it difficult to dislike even the characters who were "bad" - Chato. It doesn't hurt that Bobby Cannavale is super talented and muy caliente!!! I am so sad that this show will not be returning. It truly wasn't given a chance to develop and explore some interesting storytelling and excellent writing. Too bad reality television has taken over the networks. I'm glad to have this on DVD and I'm back to channel surfing. The fall season looks like more of the same substandard and derivative cop/political/detective shows, and some are actually dramatizing terrorism. Hmmmm. Don't we have Fox News and CNN for that?

Summary: A FIRST -- WE LOVE THE "BAD GUYS"
Review: KINGPIN, is one of my favorite movies/shows. Why NBC cancelled the series is beyond me. However, by reading some of your posts, I don't think that you were aware that BRAVO actually CONTINUED the Kingpin series, and resolved everything over 4-5 more episodes....I don't want to spoil everything that happened, but if you want to know, write a post (reply), and I'll tell you. ***YOU WON'T EVEN BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED***, It was "off the hook"!!!! I love it!! I love it!! I love it!! Now my question is: Where can we buy the ENTIRE series (NBC&BRAVO).

Some spoilers (not too much in detail, don't want to ruin things):

** Rape -- can't tell you who it will spoil things.
** Murder -- connected to the "rape", and war between families.
** Resolution to the Agent who was almost killed (the ultimate drug bust).
** Resolution to Malika Yoba (dirty Agent) and the nightclub.
** Wife leave rehab and returns home to Miguel.
** Dr. loses his money...Dr. finds his money (but hands change...i.e. dr/bodyguard relationship)

Summary: Fabulous television!
Review: One of the best shows to come along in a very long time, Kingpin redefines primetime television. Despite the confines of being on a network, and not cable, this show proved you don't have to have a mouth like a trucker to get your point across. Pay careful attention to Yancy Arias, because as Miguel Cardena, he's AMAZING! A lot happens very quickly, but it was well executed and doesn't feel rushed. A definate must see, particularly if it gets picked up for the fall season!

Summary: Amazing
Review: One of the most amazing crime dramas I've ever seen. NBC made really weird programming decisions by having this show on twice a week for three weeks in a row. It didn't get the coverage or the justice that it deserved. Where is the next season? You guys over at the peacock network need to give us our Kingpin!
Every single scene was incredibly well written and acted - nothing stereotypical about it. Always excruciating surprises. You are praying that the madness will end but it doesn't.

Summary: OK
Review: Reading over the reviews, i realized some people may have missed the fact that NBC actually did show all 6 episodes, and Bravo showed them later, and uncut i believe. i Know because i watched the show on NBC. While i am disappointed it was not made into a series, i can understand why.

Moving on, i would say this was a great show. IT had everything.Violence, family love and loyalty, everything.

Summary: Thank goodness this is off the air
Review: The entire concept of the show is a very bad Sporanos rip off on either a much lower budget or just sheer production incompetence. The dialogue is atrocious and the characters predictable and flat. What the actors do to compensate for the poor script is to overact turning every episode into a very painful ordeal.

Thank goodness this is off the air.

Summary: Awesome!!!
Review: The Sopranos meets Scarface. I highly recommend this series for rental or purchase. I hope NBC definately decides to bring it back!
