Summary: My favorite
Review: I don't have a review, just a statement. I'm 68 years old and have been a movie fan all my life. I think that as of the second time I saw Deja Vu it has replaced Casablanca as my favorite movie ever. Of course if you're not basically a romantic, you may hate it.

Summary: Let your mind travel. . .
Review: I have been looking for this movie for a LONG time. I saw it in the theater and I could not foget its meaningful story. I LOVE THIS MOVIE, everyone should be blessed with seeing it. It is a beautiful movie in every aspect, the characters are real and the story, a journey into thaughts and beliefs; a romance unforgetable. Its message of fate, soulmates, love, and destiny will entrance you into the world of the abstract---It will touch your heart, it touched mine.

Summary: Liked and disliked it!
Review: I liked this movie because of the Déja Vu aspect. I dislikedthis movie because it condoned leaving your wife or husband forsomeone you felt you had known all your life. Had the love of her lifenot been already married...perhaps just engaged...I would have enjoyedthe movie more.

This movie starts in Israel where an Americanwoman (Victoria Foyt) is purchasing clothes for her store in LA. Shemeets a woman who gives her a beautiful and expensive broach, whichhas great significance in the story and really makes the movie cometogether in the way it does. The story is a great idea, except Ikept feeling as if I was watching a dating show on TV. The actors allseemed a bit too real.

The background noise made me think I wasperhaps peering into a window, watching two people's intimateconversation in real life. The acting dropped this movie to a fourstar for me and the premise that leaving your spouse was OK, droppedit to a three.

The camera moving from side to side or spinning made me dizzy, but it was unique. If you can overlook the affair, you will enjoy the plot line. This movie almost had a made-for-TV feel to it. Ifelt as if I was watching something on Public Television. While youare watching this movie, think about how the characters feel when theyruin all the lives around them. Will they really be happy, one has towonder.

Sadly, this movie makes us want them to be together. Well, as a fantasy...it is enjoyable.

Summary: Meant to be Together
Review: I love romantic movies that really capture your heart, make you feel like the movie is happening to you. Too many so-called "romantic movies" these days are contrived: they try to force you like the characters and believe in the story. This story captured my heart and kept me thinking about it long after the movie ended. In fact, instead of "White Cliffs of Dover" I have started downloading different artist's versions of "Where or When". There could not have been a better song to go along with this storyline of 2 people that meet that really feel like they've already met each other before. That's always been a favorite theme of mine, from old songs like Dionne Warwick's "Deja Vu", and it's good to see a movie made around this theme. And to throw in the storyline twists of the older woman with the ruby pin and who she turns out to be, it is reminiscent of the feelings I had when Christopher Reeve first saw Jane Seymour's picture in the film book in "Somewhere in Time" and realizes she is the old lady that gave him the pocket watch and said "Come back to me". Highly recommend this for anyone who's a true romantic at heart. You don't have to have graphic sex scenes and language for a good romantic picture: just good eye contact, body language and an engaging, nonpredictable storyline. Plus, you usually have to throw in some twists and turns, some stumbling blocks put in the characters' way in order for them to be together. This movie had all of the above.

Summary: A moving and powerful movie that makes you think
Review: I really loved this movie! I liked the way the story unfoldeed, the brilliant dialogue, and the acting. Stephen Dillane and Vanessa Redgrave are particularly powerful. Dillane is an actor who always seems to hit the right notes, and he brings emotional depth and sex appeal to every role he takes--I wish he'd do more films!

This movie will bring out the romantic in everyone and also give you a few philosophical moments. Thoroughly enjoyable and meaningful.

Summary: DeJa Vu hit home
Review: I rented DeJa Vu and Cassablanca both on the same weekend. I had never seen either movie and was so shocked to see the similarities. I was in tears with both movies and felt that the director of DeJa Vu should have chosen a younger sexier actress than Victoria Foyt. I thought she had too many temper tantrums and could of portrayed more passion. I would of liked to have seen more of the love scenes also...

I felt the house party scene was very good. It had me on the edge of my seat and I felt like I was right there in the room with the actors. I really enjoyed the line that went something like.... "An Illusion is really the feeling of something good coming close".

Summary: A Surprisingly Good & Unusual Romance
Review: I rented this film never having heard of it before. Although some of the acting is wooden, the scenery is lovely, and the secondary characters engaging in their own right. The romance of the main characters and their sense of destiny were strong, if you could get past the fact of their adultery. (I could, since the premise was so fascinating and, dare I say it, romantic.) Some of the lines of dialogue rang so true that I watched the movie a second time just to absorb them. Indeed, the dialogue found in just 2 hours of the movie summarized at least 50 of the current rash of books on fate, destiny, soulmates, etc. And I defy anyone who watches to not be humming the tune "The White Cliffs of Dover" after the movie's end...

Summary: My Favorite Film of All Time
Review: I saw Deja Vu every other day it was in the theater. It was so amazing. If you have ever been in a relationship, you will want to see this movie. I have easily seen it 25 times and I never tire of it. Easily Henry Jaglom's best film. If you love stories about fate, syncronicity, and real adult emotions and situations, you'll love it and want to see it again and again. BUY IT OR RENT IT NOW!
