Summary: "Afraid" of Marriage? Watch this movie!
Review: This marvelous gem deals with one man's battle with his devastating past and his ensuing "marriage-phobia." Charming, funny, and well-acted, I recommend this movie to anyone, but especially to people who never seem to get around to popping the question.

After all, you don't want to become a Lester.....

Summary: Awesome production and fun to be involved in!
Review: This movie is very special to me because I got the opportunity to be a part of it. It displays good ol' country humor in a new light. The side humor (about Logansport and Gary) really hit home and all of us country bumpkins can appreciate the fun that was being poked at there.
The characters are portrayed in such a way and demeanor that allows the entire family to watch without any embarassing and awkward moments. In fact, some of the funniest moments come when Adam attempts to dodge explinations of how he and his "client" really know each other. It is also incredible how he can take his sorrow (from being left at his own wedding) and make sure that it doesn't happen to the groom, which in turn lets him (Adam) realize he's ready for commitment. It's a sappy, love story with all the perfect...well, EVERYTHING!!

Summary: Great movie
Review: This was one of the funniest movies I have seen in years. It is a great family film, with no violence. It takes one back to the old days of moviemaking, wher the actors and the dialogue really made the film. Living in the Midwest, this movie is a must for fellow midwesterners, as it pokes fun at all of us in a good way. I cannont recommend this movie high enough

Summary: We lived this movie...
Review: we moved from Seattle to rural Indiana for one year and saw this movie two days before we moved back to Seattle. We laughed ourselves silly over the gentle mocking of life in rural Indiana as seen through the eyes of two visiting Californians. After the movie was over, I thought to myself, "This is exactly how I felt this entire year!" Unless you have lived in the rural midwest, you cannot fully appreciate the excitement of a strip of new road, a plate full of pork smothered in gravy or that Gary, Indiana is the last place on earth you would want to honeymoon. I was sad to see how little money this movie made - it was truly worth seeing and should be mandatory for anyone who has ever lived or will ever live in the midwest! I can't wait to get the video!!!!

Summary: Welcome home!!
Review: When I first saw that this movie was coming to theatres I was so excited! Not only am I a huge indy film fan, but I am an Indiana girl as well, right in the heart of the nation. The Best Man in Grass Creek is set in, well, Grass Creek, Indiana (a real place, it's about an hour from my hometown) and is the story of a man afraid of commitment and the crazy but comforting people he meets along the way.

In this touching story Adam (John Newcombe, writer/director) agrees to be the best man on a moments notice for a man he hardly knows in order to sell a comic strip to the Indianapolis Star. Adam has a horrible fear of weddings since he was left standing at the alter a few years before. Set in the gorgeous farmland country, the viewer gets an exaggerated look at the life of "country folk" and the strength each character holds, and gets the chance to see a man overcome his fears and embrace his future.

A definite must see...
