Summary: Make you laugh, cry and dream.
Review: Just having been recently cheated on and dumped by some I loved and trusted--I can relate to this movie like no one else. Living Out Loud is the best title possible for this movie. That's exactly what Judith begins to do after her 20 year security blanket is riped from her hands. If you have ever looked at your life and said to yourself "how did I get here?," this is a movie for you.

Summary: Wildly Overlooked and Wildly Perfect
Review: I recently saw an ad where Richard LaGravanese said that his proudest accomplishment was "Living Out Loud" and rightly so. He is one of Hollywood's most best writers, with a diversity among his projects that's astonishing (I've often been excited to see his name within the writing credits, knowing that whatever film is starting will be a lot more interesting and insightful because of his work). And now a nigh perfect directorial debut! With incredible atmosphere reminiscent of Alan Rudolph's wonderful film Choose Me, Living Out Loud perfectly depicts the life of Judith, a recently divorced, slightly out of control upper East Side doctor's wife, just waiting to break out of the paddock to begin a life refreshed. Holly Hunter is perfectly cast (that "crack baby" scene has already become legend in our household) and DeVito (gratefully) is subdued and acts without winking constantly at the camera. And, as someone who's gay and who knows well the party/dance scene, there has NEVER been a better depiction of the rush that you feel entering a gay dance club a little high -- the rush, the music, the bodies, the lights, the seduction, the heightened sensation that life is indeed worth living. But then, that's what all of Living Out Loud is all about. Very Highest Recommendation.

Summary: Great music, great story, great dance scene in a Lesbian bar
Review: This movie has it all. Holly, Danny, and the Queen! Judith gets dumped she begins to live life for the very first time. Touching, tasting and sampling everything there is to offer. The massage scene is hot and so is the dance scene at "The Confessional!" Don't miss this movie or the soundtrack....they are both fabulous....get yours today!

Summary: An absolute classic with a touch of nostalgia!!!!
Review: This movie was a masterpice that lacked the recognition that it deserved. This movie had everything that every blockbuster hit lacks:realism. This movie was about people and real life events that can occur to any of us. It was beautifully made and acted. A definite contemporary classic!!!!

Summary: A humane, compassionate movie
Review: It's all about those chance connections that can shape our lives... a glance, a smile, a conversation about the weather. Holly Hunter is her usual brilliant self as recent divorcee Judith Moore who learns to come out of the shell of her destroyed marriage after an accidental kiss in a bar. Danny DeVito is the elevator operator in her Upper East Side co-op, suffering from a loss of his own. It's a love story for single people, a refreshing change when every single movie out there makes you feel useless when you're not part of a pair.

Summary: Very Artsy but something special about it! 50's like done 90
Review: There is something very artsy about this movie but it reminds me of those great movies when I was a kid. located in those great New York apartments and the characters are the main point of the move.. not the specail effects. The photography is great and hunter and devito do a fantastic job! But a real amazing shocker is Queen Latifa doing some serious great Jazz.. wish she had a whole album out there like that I would buy it! Watching Hunter learn to love herself after a horrible divorce and a marriage of compromise.. she is happy and learns to love what is in her life.

Summary: I thought it was a wonderfully human movie.
Review: This was a wonderful movie about our need to be talked to or touched. These two people are going through life and it seems as though nothing is working out for them, until someone talked to or touched them. This was a very warm very human movie. It reminded me how a simple hello or a hand shake can make someone's day.

Summary: an absolute beauty! flawless and delightfully original!
Review: aside from the reviews posted here i had no idea what to expect-but what i got was a terrific flick with great heart and greater performances from holly hunter and a very subdued danny devito. queen latifah's rendition of 'LUSH LIFE" was remarkable! the digital sound and picture quality were of the highest caliber. i highly recommend it to everyone-this was one of the best films i have seen in years.

Summary: Buy it now! You won4t be dissapointed!
Review: A beautiful story of a cheated woman who starts a new life without her husband and actually starts enjoying it. The best performance of Holly Hunter since The Piano. Danny De Vito4s acting deserves an Oscar!!(or something)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the best films of the year!
Review: Living Out Loud is a wonderful story of a woman's search for the strength needed to lead an independent life. Holly Hunter is awesome! (as usual) Both hilarious and heartbreaking, I give this film five stars!
