Summary: good actors but teenage screenplay
Review: Jesssica lange is an outsatanding actor & she plays well the role of unstable women. The movie starts well and with the opening scene with Jones in the choper & Lange exposing herself on the beach , I felt that this movie will be great. Unfortunetly it seems that after the 1st 30 minutes of the movie (which are thriling and capturing) the director got short of budget and continued with a silly unreliable story of a nuclear scam. The movie lost its crediblity and became B rated teenage thriller. Its a pitty , I'll give the movie 30 % * 5stars . so thats 1.67 stars and round it up to 2

Summary: Jessica Lange's Finest Hour.
Review: Oh I think it is in this movie. She changes from an unstable, somewhat selfish person, into a loyal, compassionate wife who helps her husband (Tommy Lee Jones) expose a nuclear cover-up at an army base. She won the Oscar for her acting in this movie and it was well deserved.

Summary: GREAT!
Review: People have criticised the so-called "tangent" in the plot of this movie about a nuclear coverup, but honestly I can't see why they think it's a tangent. It didn't take anything away from my viewing experience at all.

ANYWAY, Jessica Lange finally won her Best Actress in 1995 for this movie, and rightfully so. I have to admit that a friend and I actually HATED this movie after we watched it the first time, but the second time (a week later) we were left spellbound because we couldn't figure out what we hated so much! You simply will not be able to take your eyes off of Jessica for the duration of this movie. It's similar to watching someone with ADD because you don't know what they're going to do next.

Newcomers to the Jessica Lange franchise will be totally taken with her performance in this movie.

And Tommy Lee isn't bad, either.

Summary: Sweet
Review: The acting of both leads in Blue Sky is magnificent. The result is a genuinely touching love story. Some plausibility is lost when the conspiracy plot kicks in; at this point you may get the impression that quality was to some degree limited by budget. Despite this flaw I recommend Blue Sky highly.

Summary: The life of an emotionally disturbed woman
Review: The story of Carly Marshall, a mentally unbalanced woman who nearly destroys her marriage and the lives of her family, and her military officer husband, whose deep love for her is the only reason why he deals with her emotional outbursts and stays in the marriage, when he has every option to leave. Deeply personal and reflective of what some American lives really are; a heartwrenching performance by Jessica Lange, who won a well-deserved Oscar.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Rather dated, but still entertaining
Review: The story seems to be rather dated, but due to strong performances from Jessica Lange, this gets thrilling towards the end. Also, you can find an innocent looking Chris O'donnel ("Robin" in batman movies) in this movie.

It's sad to learn the fact that movies released by ORION get increasingly difficult to obtain.

Summary: A great film with wonderful acting...
Review: This film depicts Jessica Lange as the wild, slightly crazy wife of Army officer Tommy Lee Jones. Lange and Jones are really perfectly paired in this film, and their acting talents shine through. Overlooked by many are the wonderful jobs the actors who played their children performed. It is quite a shame that this film did not receive the recognition it deserved, for the plot and acting are tremendous. The DVD is short on special features (only has the theatrical trailer), but the audio and video quality are excellent. Highly recommended!

Summary: hard to believe this was shelved for a few years
Review: This is an extraordinary movie, with a role that earned jessica Lange an Oscar for Best Actress. Lange is Carly Marshall, a mentally unstable wife and mother who refuses to be pigeonholed into the life of moving from military base to military base as her husband's career dictates (Tommy Lee Jones in a powerful role.) This wreaks havoc on their two daughters (Amy Locane and Anna Klemp) who must pick up the slack of running the household and raising themselves since their mother can't do it and their father expends all his energy running after and caring for her.

Carly is like a large hibiscus rapidly outgorwing its greenhouse. She just thinks about how very glamorous she is like the movie star du jour in the late 1960s. In addition, her husband's work as a military nuclear engineer leads him to discover a cover-up of nuclear testing in Nevada. This situation forces Carly to think of someone other than herslef and show a little love and strength of character.

It is an original story, with a great cast and writing.
