Summary: Incredibly sexy movie with AAAAAWESOME 80s soundtrack!
Review: This is one my absolutely favorite 80s movies. If you love 80s music, then this is for you - one of the best soundtracks out there. The plot is kind of cheesy but in a really fun way that takes you away from reality. It has a very sexual tone to it that makes you want to jump Steven Bauer. He looks totally hot in this movie. It's definitley worth watching.

Summary: My favourite silly film
Review: This is one of my favourites silly films. The bored wife writes her sexual fantasies in books that keeps them locked in her bedroom. The thief stole her 'fantasies' and start to 'live them' with her. She never realizes that is the same thief who broke into her house until he repeats what she wrote once on those books which I find it absurd. At the end the generous thief awakes the bored marriage and the film ends with happiness. The music is cool, the mise en scene is nice, lots of colours but it's just one of those films that you can watch on Showtime and there's nothing else to watch on tv. ...

Summary: Excitement Beyond Your Dreams
Review: This movie was one of the best movies I have seen. Steven Bauer is sexy and dangerous. Can anyone help me find the soundtrack for this move? I would love to purchase it.

Summary: Good Mindless Fun
Review: While celebrating their sixth anniversary, Michelle "Mickey" (played by Barbara Williams) and Ray Davis's (John Getz) coastal Californian home is burglarized by Scott Muller (Steven Bauer), a professional thief and ex-convict. Among the items he steals are Mickey's diaries, which he, of course, reads and memorizes. Scott then begins to stalk her, and he eventually makes his move by hiring her to design his loft. Being the supportive, sensitive man he tries to portray, Scott easily seduces Mickey, but it's becoming more difficult for him to hide his true identity when Ray begins to suspect Mickey's having an affair.

Although "Thief of Hearts" is unrated, it definitely deserves an "R" rating from me for language and graphic nudity, or "foreign love scenes", as the video case likes to describe it. It's an unlikely, and often times ridiculous, women's fantasy, but the one redeeming factor in the movie is Mickey. If she had been a complete bimbo, I doubt I would have liked this movie as much.

On the minus side, however, there's Scott, who is at times condescending (watch the scene with the barely legal prostitute he tries to "help out") and acts like a total creep even without trying. Then there's also Buddy Calamara (David Caruso), who is just amazingly terrible in this movie. I can't tell if it's Caruso's acting or what. And, lastly, there's the soundtrack: typical cheesy 80's synth/pop, which is at times better heard with the sound off. But if you're looking for good mindless fun, then you'll probably like "Thief of Hearts".
