Summary: Lair's Moon
Review: I saw this movie as a young girl. Then ever time my parents went to rent movies, it was also my pick. I have truly seen it over 100 times, and I still love it. The story has two different endings, and you never know till the end what happens.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Some of Matt Dillon's best work came from this film
Review: If you enjoy Matt Dillon, you will enjoy this film. I thought Matt brought a lot of heart to the film. Cindy Fisher is excellent as well. Rent or buy this film today. If you have seen this movie on video and were not happy with the way it ended, see it on DVD it has the happier ending.

Summary: Favorite movie ever
Review: If you like a romantic movie, this is the best romance I have ever seen. It is also very suspensful and a real tear-jerker. If you always look at the sky and think you are seeing a blue moon, think again, most of the time it is a liar's moon. This movie has been one of my favorites for over 10 years.

Summary: Interesting little movie
Review: Liars Moon is a movie that never gets talked about anymore the only star I recognize is Matt Dillon but he never talks about this film anymore and all of the other actors I have never seen before. It was made in the early 80's but the film quality looks older than what the movie appears. This is such a nice little love story that is not over the top. This movie was very overlooked years ago and still is now a great story about southern romance I never knew that there was such a great story like this.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is a must see movie! One of Matt's best.
Review: Loved every bit of this movie. It will leave you thinking about it for years!

Summary: Small Town Romeo and Juliet
Review: Matt Dillon and Cindy Fisher turn in very good performances in this overlooked film. Has a feeling of summer's gone by, a fatalistic melodrama. Fine support from Broderick Crawford as Fisher's colonel grampa, Yvonne DeCarlo( Lily of The Munsters) as a Louisiana boarding house proprietor, and Susan Tyrrell as wayward prostitute Laura Mae Beauvoir.

Summary: C'mon Gen Xers!!! Remember this?
Review: Sweet movie, popular Cinemax fare back in the 1980's.
Those of us from that generation will remember the big deal made over this movie in 16 Magazine(am I right?)
Matt Dillon's Texas accent is a bit hard to swallow and this is not a big-budget movie...I recognized only a few of the other actors (Yvonne DeCarlo--Mrs. Munster.)
STILL...it was cute. I bought this movie strictly for sentimental value, not because I wanted a four-star movie to add to my collection.
And whatever happened to Cindy Fisher?

Summary: Sooo romantic
Review: Takes place in a small town. A young man (Jack) and youngwoman (Ginny) meet and fall in love, even though her father disagreeswith the relationship. Ginny and Jack elope and she becomes pregnant. They find out they maybe related due to odd circumstances between her father and his mother. Ginny teaches Jack about love and everyone else teaches him about lieing. Ginny and Jack see through the lies and see love together.

Summary: Music better than the film
Review: The music in this film is lovely.

I would love so much to get my hands on the song played in the background while Dillon & Fisher are gazing at the lover's moon and also the slow ballad at the Independance Day dance (I'll love you forever...) Have looked high and low but have come up empty handed.

This was one of Dillon's earlier roles & it doesn't surprise me that he never mentions it in interviews. It wasn't a stretch for him as an actor & he wasn't great in it, but he definitely stood out against a very ordinary supporting cast.
