Review: 'A Home Of Our Own', a very touching family drama, effectively depicts a strong familial bond, and how a family bonds to help each other out. Kathy Bates' portrays a mother struggling to help her family through hard times. The family moves into a small mid-western U.S. shack and tries to cope with everyday life.

Review: A Home of Our Own was a great movie. My boyfriend, who is never affected by any movie actually liked this one. In fact he is the one who got me to watch it.

Review: I had never seen any promotion for this film when it came out. I am a Kathy Bates fan and was switching channels and happened across this. I started watching it and loved it. I wonder why I had never heard any word of mouth on this movie? If you haven't seen this, please either rent the movie or buy it. It is worth the time to watch it. It is basically about a family whom is living in LA and the father ups and leaves them. So the Mother must support her children. Her oldest keeps getting in trouble so she decides to take what little they own, and find a new home to restart their life. Mind you they are very poor and they vehicle they own is on it's last leg. They end up in Ohio living in a farmers half built home. It lets you see through the oldest son's memories of everything that happened along the way. You end up loving the family and hoping for the best. I hope you watch it!

Review: I highly recommend this movie to everyone of all ages,it is a movie that makes you think. It goes to show you that you should be thankful for what you have in life and NOT what you don't have in life. The point being that money isn't everything! All that matters is you have the love and support of your family.

Summary: TERRIFIC FAMILY FLICK
Review: I love this movie! Kathy Bates is such a terrific actress, and this film really lets her show off! The movie should be viewed with family. It shows all you need to make it to your dream is hard work, determination, and the love of your family. The Lacey Tribe (Bates and her children) move across the states to find A home of their own, but really a new beginning. And they are dirt poor. One of the saddest moments in the movie is when they open their Christmas gifts, and receive a hammer, nails, everything for their home that their mother is determined to build for them. It really goes to show you that you shouldn't take everyday things for granted. Has a great story from start to finish. The ending is terrific as well. GET THE DVD! Its worth it!

Review: I want to buy four copies because I want my children to each have a copy of this movie. We all have hard times and this movie gives people the inspiration to reach deep inside to overcome adversity. Without being sappy, it makes you laugh, makes you cry with joy, and you find yourself rooting and cheering all the way through.Loved it!! Loved it!! Loved it!!

Review: If you know what its like to be poor, or even if you empathise with the unfortunate, then you will surely love this movie. It brings tears to your eyes to see the middle-aged widow, played by Kathy Bates, struggle with her six children, to build a house, from nothing. I believe if you want to give your kids a shock of reality, then this movie is as real as you can get. Many families live like this in the third world. You come away with an appreciation of the true things in life: love, and family values.
