Summary: Poor mans Dead Poets Society
Review: When I saw the beginning of this film I thought for a second or two I had stumbled onto the best movie ever made, namely the majestic Dead Poets Society of which this is a very obvious & poor copy. The opening scene even goes on about the importance of honour in a 1950s prep school & some of the students/actors are dead(pun not intended!)ringers for the infinately better Dead Poets cast. With the exception of Matt Damon who is a fine actor. How do the people in hollywood get away with this?? Avoid this silly copy & buy Dead Poets Society & thank me later.

Summary: a classic
Review: When I was in grade school me and my girlfriends spent hours popping popcorn and watching this movie over and over. Just the other day I rented it again, and was still taken with the meaning of the movie. and yet again it touched myheart. This is one of those movies that when it ends and the credits are rolling you're like "Wow!". I even have to say that before these stars (Matt Damon, Brendan Fraiser, Ben Affleck etc..) got big, I was waiting for the credits to see who played who. They are all very talented actors, and portray this movie to make you understand that being Jewish was an issue in life back then, as being black is an issue now. It shows that being a friend has nothing to do with what your religion is, it's the person that you are inside. I remember whaen they were all in the room trying to figure out the verdict for who cheated and Chris O'Donnel said "But he was still a good guy." That shows you something. All the movies coming out lately are stupid and pointless. This movie on my eyes is a true classic.

Summary: Good, relevant.
Review: Who would know that something like this could still happen in today's society. But people still limit themselves based on religion and the religions of others.

School Ties accurately portrays the life of a Jewish student who is recruited to play football for a Christian school. The difficulty he faces to go to that school is worthwhile since it is a stepping stone to the Ivy League. But when some of the students find out he's Jewish all hell breaks loose.

Cast is spectacular. If it came out today it would definitely be hearalded as a star studded production. Overall a good film, nice to watch and remember what bigotry and ignorance can do.

Summary: It's excellent
Review: You need to see this movie for the story line, not for the young male stars in it. This movie is more than a few cute guys, it's about what really does happen. It makes a person stop and think how they treat others. This movie is a wake up call for all the up tight prep types who only saw the movie for Matt Damon, Brendan, and the others. If you see this movie and review it, don't review it because of the cast, review it for the story line.
