Review: First off, let me please ask some of you Amazon reviewers to stop spoiling the endings of movies for those who haven't yet seen them. It's a very selfish thing to do. You can review a movie WITHOUT ruining the suspense for others!Now, on to the review. In my opinion, this isn't your typical teen flick. Leelee Sobieski brings a mature vibe to this film. She's a wonderful actress and doesn't deserve to be grouped with with some of the less talented teen actresses. Leelee is in a class of her own. You may not agree with everything her character does, but you must take into consideration her situation in this drama (which I won't reveal in order to save the suspense for you). What would you do if you were in her shoes? Would you stay in the safe relationship with your childhood sweetheart, or would you venture into a forbidden summer fling with a sexy stranger in town? This movie explores many issues--love, tragedy, prejudice against outsiders, and a very interesting look at selfishness vs. selflessness. Adding to these elements is the lovely aura of summer in a small town. You'll lose yourself among the crickets and birches as you watch this ethereally beautiful movie. You're a Scrooge if you don't shed a few tears during this movie! If you're not a "movie snob", go rent this today!

Summary: SERIOUS RIP OFF OF LOVE STORY
Review: My title pretty much gives away what happens in this movie. If you are a fan of Chris Klein or Leelee Sobieski, you are so much better off renting Election and Never Been Kissed. This movie is so bad. I wish I had read all these reviews before deciding to waste my time. I'm so tired of badly written movies making there way to the big screen. This one is one of the worst, It makes me much more confident than I could also have my screenplay made into a film, It couldn't be any worse than this stupid movie. And just who are we supposed to like here? I found myself feeling sorry for the boyfriend that Leelee jilts. He is played by Josh Hartnett, and he's so cute and charming. She is just pure evil, sneaking around on him with Chris Klein. and then the whole "cancer" thing. I will admit I did cry, but I think deep down I was crying more for Josh. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! at least Love Story was original at the time...

Summary: Where to begin.....
Review: What a HORRIBLE, HORRILBLE film! Seeing some of the previews for the movie, I figured I'd watch it to see a nice chick flick. The only reason I didn't stop the movie in the middle was because all the cliche diologue and stage action was much to humorous. Anyone who describes this film as "moving" obviously lacks any intelligence.

Review: This movie was refreshing, it held my interest for the whole length of the movie. I've thought about this movie ever since I first saw it. The characters were great, ALL of them. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

Summary: Run, don't walk, away from this horrible flick
Review: I have never watched a more pointless and predictable movie than this one. I watched it with my wife and sister-in-law. My wife couldn't stay awake. My sister-in-law and I stayed amused at predicting every scene that took place. The worst were the slow shots of Klein staring sideways at the ground and slowly turning his head to meet the gaze of the lead actress. It was comical. I think they tried that schtick about three times during the movie, maybe this movie was really directed by staff from the World Wrestling Federation. If you see this movie, you will never get back that hour and a half you lost. That's the one lasting impression it leaves you with.

Summary: The Single Worst Movie Ever Made
Review: Watching this movie was one of the least pleasant experiences in my life. The plot and dialogue were so cliche-ridden and horribly presented that it was, at times, laughable. There were at least 5 or 6 times during the course of this drivel that I thought to myself "Wow - that was the single worst line of dialogue I have ever heard in my life." The plot has been done over so many times, and is so predictable and utterly insulting to the viewer that I will not waste my energy attempting to describe it here. Before seeing this movie I thought that Chris Klein and Lelee Sobieski had some talent as actors. I was proven wrong. This movie is not only insulting to you as a viewer, it is insulting to you as a human being. Do not, I repeat DO NOT, under any circumstances, ever see this movie. Please, heed my words and avoid this mindless drivel at all costs.

Summary: Pleasant, easy going
Review: I was alone when I saw this movie in theatres last spring, and I was touched, enraged, and sad all at once. Although Here On Earth wasn't the number one tear jerker or romance of the year, I did enjoy myself, and I hope you will too. Set in a small ruddy town off of a prestigious school campus, it's is very much a Romeo and Juliet type of story, with guy getting involved with a girl on the other, wrong side of town. The characters in the school were hard to get along with, and it makes you wonder why she even fell for the jerk, when in truth I found her own boyfriend a much more loving and sweet character. With many plot twists, and wierd sub-plots, I think the movie could have been a lot better if only they had dropped the sickness she obtains. On a lighter note, I was on the whole touched by the film. The constant repition of my fave poem Birches set a romantic, playful tone to the story, and the lovely incongruencies kept me watching. I completely suggest this movie for a date with a sensitive guy, so crack out the popcorn and pop in the video. Enjoy!

Summary: see this film and you'll wish you weren't here on earth
Review: Here on Earth is so trite and NOT worth seeing. The plot is riddled with endless cliches and the performances and dialogue are hopelessly stilted. It's too bad half-way decent actors were saddled with a script this wretched. Leelee Sobieski's character is annoying and only takes an avid interest in Chris Klein's brat of a character when he takes off his shirt to reveal a perfectly chisled chest. Better movie buys featuring Sobieski, Klein, and Hartnet would be "Never Been Kissed," "Election," and "Virgin Suicides."

Summary: The beauty of life!
Review: I love this movie for the basic message it sends. There are a few things I think are purely for fantasy (you will be saying...yeah, right!), but overall the movie deals with the issues of life and how wonderful it is to be alive and in love. This movie will make you want to be a teenager again. I don't think this is a movie only for teens, I am 33 and loved it. The actors seem a bit older than they are supposed to be. Leelee Sobieski (Sam) and Chris Klein (Kelley) are just perfect in their roles. I thought their acting was adorably romantic, although I did immediately think of Helen Hunt the first time I saw Leelee Sobieski, the likeness was amazing. My husband agreed! Kelley is a city boy from Boston who receives a car as a gift from his dad while he is at prep school. His dad can't make his graduation and is always making deals on the phone, selling stock and taking care of business. Kelley isn't supposed to drive the car until after graduation, but takes it out late at night after finding the keys. He and his friends speed off and you just have the feeling that they are going to find themselves in some sort of trouble. When they enter the local teenage hangout, diner....they seem very out of place in this small town. Kelley's cocky attitude doesn't help and Jasper (Josh Hartnett who you just feel sorry for through the whole movie!) doesn't like the way Kelley is flirting with his girlfriend. His attitude later in the movie is so great because he really proves he loves Sam, and that is the beauty of his role. There is a "two guys fighting for the girl" theme running through the whole movie which women and girls alike will just love. Both Jasper and Kelley have deeper sides, but they are young and get into a few fights over Sam. Sam falls for Kelley because she is looking for someone who is romantic/bad boy type, and he definitely fits the bill. What Jasper and Kelley don't know is that they are spending time hating each other while the girl they are fighting over may always be out of their reach. After a car accident burns down the diner where Sam works, Jasper and Kelley not only have to live in the same environment, they have to work together and they have to deal with their feelings for Sam. The first half of this movie was all for the guys, the second half...all for the girls. I cried for the last half of this movie at least! I laughed through the first half. The actors were very convincing and the story captured the essence of what life is about. There is one person for everyone, you just never know how you are going to find them, or what you might have to do to keep them. Sometimes, you can't keep them and you have to say goodbye sooner than you want to. This movie is so sad!

Summary: Could be better
Review: Here on Earth got a good cast - Chris Klein (American Pie), Leelee Sobieski (Never Been Kissed) and Josh Hartnett (The Faculty). All of them are good young actors for the young generation. The story could be good - a triangular love romance that could be very interesting. However, the movie per se is not satisfactory at all. The worst part of the movie is that, the story is too predictable, you could know what would happen right from the beginning. There are no surprises that could attract the attention of the audience. You could imagine what comes next and next and next. This would definitely kill the interest of the audience. Also, the plot is too shallow. There is no detail description of the relationships among various characters in the movie. Also, turns of relationships are so sudden that it just made things look awkward in the story. Should there be more description of each of the major characters, and a better plot for the story, it could be a real good hit. Chris Klein is gorgeous as always, which fits his role as the rich Kelley. However, the director has put too much emphasis on his surface beauty, putting him in different occasions of nudity to attract female fans, which is pretty bad in fact. Should there be more real acting for him, he could do a better job. Also, his poem reciting is not that convincing at the beginning but he did managed to do it much much better at the end of the movie. He has a real touching voice in that part. Leelee Sobieski, though said to be the leading actress, was not given enough opportunity to make a good show out of it. Her character was modelled to be attitude shifting, wavering and emotional, but the worst was that they all came suddenly. Audience could predict the changes, but they director need not to be so economical about the details and the background reasonings. Leelee had worked hard in her role, but since the character creation had a natural deificiency, she could not do much about it. Josh Hartnett, as Jasper, the boyfriend of Samantha (Leelee) was a pretty good character. He could be understood as the more reasonable character and more developed character in the movie. He had a great love for Samantha and made himself readily available whenever Samantha needed him. He was also rational enough to understand Samantha's feelings. Josh's performance is also very promising. The movie had a lot of good scenery screening, which is a credit to the movie. But overall speaking, it could be much better than it's existing form if we have a more thorough and carefully plotted storyline.
