Summary: Typical 90s Glitzy Soap Operas
Review: Great cast. Imagine getting Robert Redford out of a semi-retirement to headline this predictable soaper. Woody Harleson leaped from "Cheers" barstool to the big screen and was quite effective as the third wheel in what was a financial deal that went wrong emotionally.

Demi Moore is stunning, but was she worth a million bucks for one night? I don't think so. This is a morality play and nothing more. (Or should I say Moore?)

Director Adian Lynne has crossed this area before, but not as interesting. The cast is beautiful, the locations are exciting, the performances are top notch. It's the story that only lasts 30 minutes, and the screenplay doesn't challenge the characters.

Summary: No word can define
Review: Have got little to say in addition to the comments of Mr.D. Ehrenworth/Toronto dated 29th Jan. What is the message, what is the aim? Is it ''moral values come first''? Then, why not leave the rich guy to buy as many prostitutes of high society as he pleases at a cost of about one tenth of what he has offered the married woman, and then why not explain the importance of values in serious, reasonable stories? Certainly it would get some respect.

Summary: lacks in some areas, but not that bad
Review: I just saw this movie for the first time last night and I have to say that despite a little overlength and a couple of minor outlandish parts (such as Woody Harrelson's pledge of one million dollars for the picture of the hippos) this movie is really pretty good.It does ride the border somewhat in a couple of instances but is an overall pleasurable viewing experence.

Summary: wonderful
Review: I own this. I love it. It's one of my favorites. The Demi and Woody characters are stupid for thinking they could go to Las Vegas and win it all on the tables, but it's been done before. I think it's an entertaining film. It keeps your attention. When I watch the film now, I mostly watch it for the scenes with Redford. wow. Does anyone else think Demi leaves with the wrong man in this film?

Summary: Stupid movie, but surprisingly entertaining
Review: I saw this movie recently, purly because I'm a Robert Redford fan, but I also was curious about this movie. Yes, it is a stupid plot, because what woman would think twice about being paid to have sex with Robert Redford?, but it was surprisingly entertaining. I was shocked that I was able to sit through the whole thing. But, Robert Redford did look handsome, so that helped. I can only recommend this movie to someone that is a Robert Redford fan, because the movie itself is really not that great, though it does make you think - would you have sex with a man you didn't know, with the threat of ruining your marriage, for 1 million dollars? Um, if the man was a billionare and looked like Robert Redford, and I was broke and my husband looked like Woody Harrelson, I know I would.

Summary: Is it the bad acting, the awful script, or both?
Review: I'll keep it brief. It's trashy, almost physically painful to watch, and embarassing. It's so bad, that I'll even cast it among the ranks of Stargate and Independence Day, which at least had a few pan drippings of "fun," albeit the kind of idiotic fun you feel when you see a movie that should end up in Mystery Science Theater. Save your time and your bucks. Walk away from this dud. Quickly.

Summary: Okay...
Review: I've read some reviews after watching this movie and I feel honestly that many people were way off the mark at what this movie was really about. Demi Moore never really loved the billionare and although yes he succeeded in seducing her and she did 'love' him more as a friend than anything else it becomes pretty apparent that she never trully loved the billionare. She diffenately begins to realize this near the end. Some people think that she just felt guilt over what she was doing to her husband but sorry that's not all it was. She loved her husband beyond what she could ever feel for the billionare no matter how much money he had.

The main theme of this movie I think that many people over look is that money for all it can buy can never buy happiness. Someone wrote a review saying that their was no way that the husband could never compete with the billionare for her love. I'd say the ending would say that assumption was very wrong.

Summary: Redford Radiates
Review: Indecent Proposal is one of those films with a stellar cast and is a film where one hopes that the cast will make the film shine. And they do just that. Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson play a loved-up couple who end up taking Robert Redford's offer to sleep with Demi Moore for $1m while they are in Las Vegas, hoping that money will solve their problems. As one watches the film, one hopes that their problems will be solved and that they will live happily ever after. Wrong answer. Accepting his offer causes negative consequences for the couple and just shows that no relationship is unbreakable; cracks appear when you do not expect them to.

Pros: Robert Redford! This role is different from his other film roles but he plays the suave, mesmerising Svengali-type character perfectly. Everything about him from his attire and and the way he carries himself prove him to be the man who may just be able to tempt Demi Moore or...maybe not?

Woody Harrelson plays the poor, genuine and yet tormented male in great style here and after watching this, you will be able to forgive him for Kingpin.

How can anyone forget Demi Moore? Simply a top actress.

Cons: I think I am in the minority here but the ending - NO!
The only reason I don't give this film 5 stars is because Robert Redford should have been given a larger role, while he has top billing, I expected more from his character.

Watch out for Billy Bob-Thornton

Summary: Interesting but seriously flawed
Review: INDECENT PROPOSAL is one of those formularized, supposedly heartfelt movies told in one mess of a tale. It starts off with a couple (Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson) struggling to make ends meet and just as they are about to drown in debt, they hit the jackpot in Vegas and then lose all their winnings again. As they are about to hit rock bottom, Robert Redford, a multi-billionaire, comes into their lives to give them a chance to get one million dollars. The catch: Redford "borrow" Woody's wife for one night. They agree, but this of course changes the course of their relationship forever. Woody Harrelson is truly miscast in a role too serious for him, making some scenes unintentionally funny. Yet the other two leads help keep this vechicle interesting. Despite the limited success of the script, it remains as a flawed but ambitious work.
