Summary: Total Rubbish, It Doesn't Even Deserve the One Star!
Review: This movie had no plot what so ever. Just another mindless teen movie full of "popular" hip hop garbage. This is the kind of movie that seems to come off an assembly line, making people actually lose IQ points. If you want an intelligent teen movie get Breakfast Club. Or even the mindless American Wedding is better than this.On another note I have now been acused of "hating" because of this review. This is simply not the case. I liked a different movie that was kind of similar to this(only better), called Finding Forester. I also quite enjoy many African American musicians. And on a movie note I have given many movies with mostly white casts bad reviews such as; Charlie's Angels, The Fast an the Furious, Mission Possible 2, The Hulk, ETC.
So don't try and blame the poorness on this movie on "hate" that doesn't exist. For all you know I myself could be African American.

Summary: Great underrated film
Review: I found a large mass of people gathered around the big screen section of a local electronics store recently because the final scene of Drumline was playing. Everyone in that store was captivated. Most asked the store clerk, "What movie was that?" I went to my local video store and rented this film right away. I was not at all disappointed. This is one of the best DVDs I have seen this year. Not only does this film offer the greatest performance in percussion you will have ever seen, but the lessons on discipline and teamwork will make this film one to watch with your kids.

Summary: Nick Cannon is Cute!!!
Review: In this movie, my eyes were mainly upon Nick Cannon than the rest of the movie, which his character is cool in this movie. It makes you think what a marching band does when they're in college rather than in high school. I wish my school band was more like that in the movie, but I think that's so impossible. Nick Cannon is the admirer mostly in this movie. When he finally cuts his hair off, he is much cuter. Drumline is a moving movie that will make you dance with the band! I do that when I watch football.

What if you were in a college band and had to get up at 4:30 A.M. to practice? Well that's what they had to do in Drumlin. Drumlin is a movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. The excellent thing is it's only rated PG.

Drumlin is an excellent movie because of the plot. Other people say that they watched it more than once per night because it had a good story line And the actors played there parts well.
The acting is good because the actors knew their lines and how to play them.
The music is good because it had a good rhythm and beat.
It's a long movie. It's about 2hrs. and 30 minutes long.
Over all this is a must to see movie. I would recommend this movie to everybody watch it.
Everybody that likes comedy would love this movie.

Summary: Southern Black Colleges Bands....
Review: Finally being able to see the magic of the performance of Southern Black Colleges Marching Bands, especially the drumline. This is a movie that you would watch over and over again. Great story, movie was well put together. This movie will be enjoyed for generations to come.

Summary: A Cute Little Inspirational Movie
Review: I do totally agree that its about time somebody made a movie about marching band. All these cheesy teen movies about high school football stars drive me insane. There was some good stuff in it.... while I didn't feel it was all completely realistic, that didn't necessarily take anything away from the movie. although I must say, if you found this movie to be the least bit interesting or entertaining, you should definitely check out Drum Corps International (DCI). If your not into paying 98 bucks for the finals dvd, PBS is broadcasting a show about finals in most states right now, and it should be in the rest by thanksgiving. That is some incredible stuff that anyone can enjoy if you take the time to find it.

Summary: about time there was a movie about drumline!
Review: I'm on the drumline at my high school, and i thought this movie was awesome. Unfortunately it was not really made for drummers and you can tell that the actors are not really drumming. But still, it was well done and does have some awesome drumming scenes and great ideas for visuals. And cool hats. =)

Summary: GREAT DEBUT FOR NICK CANNON
Review: This DVD is better than I expected. I saw this movie in the theater, and I liked it. But I brought the DVD for the bonus features. Nick Cannon plays the starring role as Devon Miles. His incredible talent of playing drums gets him a scholarship to the marching band at A&T University in Atlanta. He is easily the best drummer in the university, even better than the captain of the marching band, Sean, who then becomes jealous of his talent. Devon's ego about being the best causes problems between him, Sean, and their coach, Dr. Lee. Eventually, Dr. Lee goes back and forth about firing Devon and letting him back on the team. As the movie goes on, Devon learns that it takes more than talent to be the best. This is my favorite musical of all time. Besides the wicked drumming Nick Cannon does, the DVD is good.
The DVD has a director's commentary, the making of the movie, 2 music videos (I Want A Girl Like You by Joe & Jadakiss and Blowin Me Up by JC Chasez from N Sync.), and 10 deleted scenes you won't wanna miss. This movie has comedy, drama, and lots of music. I didn't give this a 5 because some scenes are boring.

Summary: Don't even think about trying to be cool.
Review: Don't even think about making band look as cool as playing football. An extended music video with very awkward performances. The music-video pieces have a few scenes worth watching but overall they should have spent a few more months on writing the story.

Review: .Although its not a Spike Lee production,the movie "Drumline"'s college scene does reflect a "Spike Lee" perceptions of how the average college student emote and what the average college staff lecturer/professor/administrator looks like ....on the superlatives good,better and best :the plot cannot be outdone(it is novel),but the sterotypes of cheerleader costumes and what the average professor/student looks like could be updated...all the actors 'generally speaking' did a fine job and was a great lesson against pompousness and for team work in its theme"one drumline,one voice".
