Rating: Summary: Bad, Bad Boyfriend! Review: It's 11:00 pm - do you know where your teenage daughter is? More importantly, do you know whom she's with? Dubbed as the "Fatal Attraction for teens" by its own executive producer Brian Grazer, "Fear" follows the pattern of excitement and danger in one volatile package named David McCall, the obsessive boyfriend that is the centerpiece of this sophomoric thriller. David's hapless victim and love interest is a high-school beauty named Nicole Walker (Witherspoon), a precocious but somewhat naïve lass dealing with the typical teen angst and the added friction of her father's marriage to a younger woman (Brenneman). Cutting class one day with Margo Masse (Milano) and Gary Rohmer (Caldecott), Nicole and friends pop into a local sports bar for some brief recreation. While liberally puffing a cig, Margo ogles a group of men at a nearby pool table, marveling in particular at the grungiest guy of the group. While Nicole disagrees with Margo's taste in men, she spots someone more of her own flavor, a handsome and brawny rogue that unwaveringly meets her lustful eye. The moment is brief and they are gone within minutes, but Nicole bumps into him again that very evening at a raucous rave on the pier. Their eyes meet again on the dance floor, bathed in neon lights and sandwiched by boisterous partygoers dancing to industrial rock. Before you can say riot, they are running to the roof and away from police choppers crashing the hedonistic soiree. As they retreat to a quiet spot overlooking the Seattle skyline, we find out that this seemingly polite and handsome fellow is David McCall, a wolf in sheep's skin. David is skilled at his romantic ruse and soon worms his way into the hearts of Nicole's family, all except for one - Steven Walker, Nicole's protective papa. There's no fooling this father and Steven knows better than anyone that David is an outright fraud. Of course, Nicole's rebelliousness is what creates the melodrama and suspense of this teen thriller, and she defies her father repeatedly to great effect. She falls in love and even after watching one of her friends being beaten to a pulp by David over a platonic embrace, she continues to see him and only fuels his burgeoning obsession. As you can imagine, the relationship gets ugly real quick and has a definitive effect on Nicole's family and friends. People who lust for psychopathic scares will enjoy a particular scene where Wahlberg crudely scrawls "Nicole 4 Eva" on his chest with a blunt razor. Ouch! Love hurts, ne c'est pas? Bad-boy David is former rapper and one-time Calvin Klein underwear model Mark Wahlberg, the first of many roles that he took to branch out into film, beginning with minor spots in TV and then a bit part in 1994's "Renaissance Man". "The Basketball Diaries" followed a year later, but his frightening turn as a jilted playboy brought his name to the lips of screaming girls everywhere. He would later blow critics away in Paul Thomas Anderson's "Boogie Nights", a film centered around the late 1970's porn industry. Reese Witherspoon had quite a resume before she was approached with "Fear", having made a name for herself back in 1991 in "Man On The Moon", a bittersweet coming-of-age drama. Playing a spunky Louisiana teen, she starred opposite Jason London and had her first on-screen kiss. She's come a long way since then, having starred in successful vehicles such as "Pleasantville", "Cruel Intentions" and her Golden Globe-winning performance in 1999's "Election". Although Reese is a splendid character actress, there's nothing for her to do here except play the victim and she does it modestly. Other key players are TV stars William L. Petersen (CSI) as Witherspoon's wary papa and Amy Brenneman (Judging Amy) as Laura, Nicole's brash stepmother. "Fear" may be a cheap substitute for a well-devised thriller, but Wahlberg kicks it up a few notches to a respectable and reasonably enjoyable level. It will certainly make worrywart parents all the more prudent about whom their daughter chooses to date!
Rating: Summary: Dark and thrilling...Obsession can be deadly!! Review: I knew as soon as I heard about his film that i'd like it. It is a tale of obsession that turns into a deadly game. A couple who seem so happy...then one day things turn sour...he can't let go of her!! He plunges her and her family into terror. Both Mark Wahlberg and Reese Witherspoon play the parts with true belief in their motives. An overall thrilling movie from beginning to end!! Don't miss this movie!!
Rating: Summary: FEAR - Together Forever...Or Else! Review: I love 'Fear' because of the incredibly talented, and beautiful cast. The soundtrack is wonderful and really effective. It is produced by Imagine Entertainment, responsible for other hits such as: The Nutty Professor 1 and 2, Liar, Liar, Bowfinger, The Chamber, Murcury Rising, Apollo 13, and many others. Talented Actor/Producer/Director Ron Howard and Brian Grazer /Producer, are chairmen for Imagine Entertainment. It is a teenage thriller Brian Grazer has called "Fatal Attraction for teens." I found it had some surprises, and the story went in different directions that are different from other teenage assosiated films I've seen. A good depiction of teenage relationships. Don't get scared now.

Rating: Summary: This was an awesome movie! Review: I saw this movie a long time ago, but I still remember it. And for me to remember a movie means that it must have really been something! This movie was really great and I enjoyed it. I guess I'm the type of person who enjoys being thrilled and chilled and this movie gave me tons of both. I loved the storyline-- obsessive out-of-control guy meets innocent girl. And although people say that that storyline is old, this movie was as fresh as ever. It really gave a new outlook to the old storyline and gave it so much suspense. I enjoyed every second of this movie. If it was a book it would be the type where you can't put it down because it is so good. This movie kept me guessing and made me look forward to what was going to happen next. And in my opinion, that is the effect a GOOD movie should have on its viewers. Mark Wahlberg gave a great performance and he really fit the role well. He made you believe you were right there experiencing everything. This movie was simply amazing. There should be more movies like this. It was hot, it was suspensful and exciting. I loved it!
Rating: Summary: Can't find the soundtrack!! Review: I watched the movie and enjoyed it very much! With that said, I too could not find the soundtrack to this movie but do recall one song from the movie..."Wild Horses" by The Sundays. Hope that helps for people searching for the soundtrack.

Rating: Summary: FEAR is a must-see for any Mark Wahlberg fan! Review: I really enjoyed this movie. I thought it wasn't your basic "teen thriller", which usually has no plot or storyline. Fear kept me on the edge of my seat at all times and I was dying to see what happened next. Although this movie is not one of the huge, widely-known blockbusters out there, it's definately worth checking out! Who knows, you might enjoy it! This movie ROCKS!
