Summary: Stars don't really fit...
Review: I don't know if stars can really rate something like this... but, still, this is an extremly poignant, touching film in it's own rights. I saw part of the movie a few months ago, and was left in a daze, b/c I loved it so much. Then, a week after seeing it, (and I was still mulling over the movie in my mind occasionally,) the bright cover of Joyce Carol Oates' book FOXFIRE, upon which the film was based, caught my eye. I didn't even see the title, just the bright oranges and pinks of the cover. I picked it up, and was thrilled! I read the book all in one sitting that night... *who needs sleep? and that homework can wait, too!* I immediately passed it on to my closest friend, and she raved about the book with me. I love the film as a seperate story... if I had never read FOXFIRE the book, I still would love the movie. And, if I had never seen FOXFIRE the movie, I would still love the book. Finally, 'nuff said.

Summary: This is a great movie
Review: I came upon this movie one night and ever since it has been one of my favorites. It is a great movie that really looks at the hardships of teenage girls and shows them that you have to stand up for yourself sometimes. I also think that the cast did a great job at bringing the characters to life.

Summary: good story line and good acting
Review: This is a great flick which makes you think about life, friends, and their great importance and impact they make on your life. There are many other flicks which try to accomplish this goal and don't succeed.....but this one definately did. And it leaves you with issues to think about afterwards. Definately pleasing to the mind.

Summary: Chick Flick of the Year
Review: This one beats out Titanic for a Girl's Night Out. Not only does it deal with serious issues, but it presents them in a believable context. Guys (as is my experience) can't sit throught this movie from start to finish and only seem to enjoy the tattoo scene; that is the *only* reason I call this a chick flick. Everyone should see this movie...it is too good to be missed.

Summary: Spiritually reaffirming and hearteningly unconventional..
Review: From the start of watching this movie I realized I was on to something..this movie makes me feel good, to realize that there are women out there who actually fight back, who have spirit, and refuse to allow themselves to submit to a lifetime of societal enslavement. An absolute joy to watch..Angelina Jolie is an exceptionally talented actor who captures absolutely every movie she is in. The movie essentially revolves around her..her character, like her, is potent, charismatic, sensuous, magnetic and radiant..not to mention that the plot itself is an absolutely excellent story. You can't help but love and cheer for "Legs'" spirit, and how she leads the other characters into self-realization.

Summary: Jenny Lewis and the rest of the cast did a fab job!
Review: Jenny Lewis, who played Rita Faldes in the film, did a wonderful job portraying an insecure teen, despite the fact that she's some 5-6 years older than her character. Nonetheless, all of the cast was wonderful, they made their roles believable and they can be role models to girls everywhere, at the same time teaching people that women are not to be messed with, abused, or taken advantage of. Jenny Lewis, in my opinion, was the best in the movie, but major props go out to them all for the wonderful job they did. It was great watching Rita emerge from her shell, Violet befriend some people you never would have pictured her with, Goldie struggle to keep herself in one piece, Legs work towards group unity and everlasting friendship long after she'd moved on, and Mady learn that there's more to life than school and art scholarships. 5 STARS!

Summary: This is the best movie of all times.
Review: This move I loved. I thought this movie was great. I loved how it showed a bond between people that never new eachother until the incodent between the teacher and the girls. I really love all the actors in this move and especially Angelina Jolie. I only wish that movie stores would carry this movie and that it wouldn't be so much to buy. ($89.99)
