Summary: The Best Movie I've Ever Seen, Full of Inspiration!!
Review: This is definantly a must see, especially for runners. It shows the strength of the human mind and the power of determination and perserverence. There is no debate that everyone should have this movie.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: My wife and I cannot quit thinking about Pre and his spirit.
Review: Pre showed us a way to live. In my mind it is the way I want to live. Have a value that is self instilled and be true to your heart. Why do meteors like Steve enter our life, touch us, and then fade away. We must draw from them and not allow their tragic end to be in vain. We loved the movie.. it inspired us and His spirit is within us today.

Summary: A movie for all cross country teams to watch together.
Review: I thought that the director of "Prefontaine" did an excellant job of making this movie. This movie is one of the best I've ever seen. "Prefontaine" shows how if you work hard enough, you can achieve anything.

Summary: This is the best running movie i have ever seen!
Review: This movie was shown to me by my cross country coach and it affected my whole team. The next day at our districk race we all lowered our personal records by a minute at least!

Summary: A runners "Rocky!"
Review: I found this to be a wonderful movie that can be enjoyed by runners and non-runners alike. The movie truly depicts one of America's greatest athletes in a realistic and exiciting way. Just as Jaws made you not want to go swimming, and Karate Kid gave you the urge to learn Karate, Prefontaine motivates the viewer to strap on those shoes and go for a run! I have seen this movie numerous times and highly recommend it to anyone!

Summary: ON PAR WITH "HEAVYWEIGHTS"!
Review: While this movie starts out as a well-intentioned inspirational piece, it quickly becomes an hilarious expose of an extremely talented runner intent on proving himself to the world. Anyone who understands the comedic value of Ben Stiller in the movie "Heavyweights" (remember the insane camp owner?) will love this movie for the same reason. With lines like "You're too small Steve, you're not fast enough Pre, give up your foolish dreams, Steve" it is hard not to take a lighter look at this drama that becomes so much more. The message is good but it is extremely amusing as well.

Summary: THIS MOVIE WAS AWESOME
Review: The Story of Steve Prefontaine is one that will not soon be forgoten. He was and is an inspiration to countless athletes and non-athletes alike. This movie does a wonderful job of capturing its audiences senses and unleashing more passion and determination than any movie since Rocky. END

Summary: This is the best sports movie I have ever scene
Review: I liked this movie because It was exciting and sad. This will be the best movie on Steve Prefontaine because it is the true story of his life. There is going to be another movie about him coming out, but "Prefontaine" had the help from family and friends of Steve. This next movie didn't have that much help from family and friends so it won't be as accurate. I graduated from Mead High School where Pat Tyson (Steve's college roomate) teaches, and he told me that "Prefontaine " will be more accurate then any other movie on Steve Prefontaine. END

Summary: An excellent film!
Review: In the tradition of sports-themed films such as Hoosiers, Rudy & even Rocky, this tale of an unlikely sports hero belongs in the collection of any self-respecting athlete. Details the life of "mythologized" runner Steve Prefontaine from his humble beginnings in an isolated Oregon town to his Olympic debut, his crusade for the rights of U.S. athletes and untimely death. Leto captures the ego, work-ethic and inspirational fire that makes Prefontaine an idol to so many runners even today, almost 25 years after his death. END

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Surprisingly Good!
Review: Someone gave me this movie for free, and I let it sit on my desk for months thinking it was going to be a total bore. One day I stuck it in, because I had nothing else to watch. It was TERRIFIC, I was into it right off the bat and it never let up. Jared Leto was really excellent as well. If you're looking for a very entertaining true story, this is it.
