Review: This movie was well done and it reminded me of when I was in high school. I had a chance to meet Jim Carroll a few months ago and was pleasantly suprised at how in mannerisms he was the same as Leonardo DiCaprio.

Review: Being a recovered heroin addict and having lived a junky/dealer's life for a couple years (and i am very young) i truly found this movie to honestly depict rather than glorify heroin addiction. Yeah-it does feel good but IT DESTROYS YOU. Heroin rapes your soul. PEACE.

Summary: A movie about a young man's life on the edge
Review: I think this movie, especially Leonardo as Jim Caroll, excellently portrays the life of someone hanging on by a thread. Jim starts out as an excellent basketball player, and one night, when his friend takes him to his girlfriend's house, her sister gives Jim drugs to make him better in bed. He gets totally addicted to these drugs, and can't stop. His game slacks, he ends up on the street, giving anything for money to buy drugs. Eventually, after 6 months in jail for theft, robbery, and street roaming, he straightens himself out. The end of the movie, he goes onstage, and explains why you shouldn't get into a drug. This was an excellent film that shows exactly what would happen if you got into a drug. Leonardo DiCaprio portrays an excellent example in the movie. Acting is very well done.

Review: Leo does a wonderful job. This is one of his better movies compared to some of the others. A great cast as well. Just an excellent movie!

Review: This film is excellent. Seniors in high school should be forced to watch it. It conveys quite simply the dangers of drugs. The acting is good as well.

Summary: A Fantastic Movie, If A Little Inacurate Of The Book
Review: The film is brilliant, but don't expect a film version on Jim's novel, it is quite different, but in comparison, you can see why it's been written that way. Di Caprio is a very good Jim, and the cameo performance by Carroll himself is a masterpiece.

Review: I Thought this film was excellent,especially Leonardo's performance as basketballer Jim Carroll.He is a fantastic actor who truly showed it in this movie and all the other films he's done.Although some bits from the movie were slightly harrowing I found it great.I thought Leo really made the film. END
