Summary: Very good
Review: If you don't harbor any affection for comic books, you may not care for this film because it takes them rather seriously. I used to read a lot of comics and still feel nostalgic toward them, but even I had to roll my eyes a little bit over some of Samuel Jackson's impassioned speeches on their true meaning. The pace of the movie was also slower than I expected. However, the more I think about this film, the more I appreciate it. In this age in which too many movies are edited for audiences with the attention span of an infant, its nice to see a filmmaker take his time to develop the kind of mood and atmosphere that this film has. If you want to see a special-effects laden slugfest, rent "X-Men," "Superman" or "Batman." M. Night Shyamalan is giving us a different kind of story: what if such a hero could actually exist in the same world that we do?

Summary: UNASHAMED SHYAMALAN
Review: What's with casting Spencer Clark as the son, who has the same facial expressions and mannerisms as Haley Joel Osment? How annoying was that! And are we going to be subjected to ongoing cameo appearances by Shyamalan? Some people like it, whereas I feel he's mimicking Tarantino (barf) who used to do it because Hitchcock did. It's kid stuff, move on!This film had potential. There are those who felt it was intense, but it sure didn't get me there like Sixth Sense did. Whats happened is that Shyamalan hit a grand slam his first time to bat, which was great. Now, he's only been walked to first. Makes a person wonder what he has in store on his third attempt, and feeling like one should wait for it to get to video before seeing it. This one's fragile as hell and not even in a league with Sixth Sense. Unfortunately for all of us viewers, it doesn't even come close. I had such high hopes.

Summary: It's Either Unbreakable or like glass....
Review: Well, we all know that "The Sixth Sense" was a huge hit and boosted M. Night Shyamalan into the director's world. But what most of us did not know was whether or not his next movie, "UNBREAKABLE" would be a hit. In my eyes it was but I went and saw the movie with my dad and he disagreed. I did find the plot to move a bit slowly to develop, but this is part of a trilogy and it takes time to develop the first film of a trilogy so I will let that slide. If you go to see this movie you will either love it or hate it. Personally I loved it and I thought Willis and Jackson worked really well together once again (DIE HARD 3). Now most people thought the ending was a little weak, but I on the other hand thought it to be clever and surprising. It had a nice little twist to it. So I would go see the movie and if you like it sign up on Amazon to be notified when it will be released because if you like it, you'll love it and then you'll need to own it.

Summary: WOW! What an AMAZING film. 4 1/2 stars.
Review: Unbreakable is deffinetly the best movie of 2000! It has two great stars, and good plot, and amazing direction. Notably the train sequence at the beginning is an example of that. It makes you feel like you are in the train watching Bruce have a conversation. Willis plays David Dunn, amazingly he is the only survivor of a terrible train wreck outside Philadelphia. Samuel L. Jackson's character Eljiah Price bones are very frail and break a lot. Eljiah believes David is the opposite of him, someone who is never sick or gets hurt. The plot may sound dumb, but I would reccomend to this movie to anyone! Its great fun and I would easily see it again. The Sixth Sense was a tiny bit better. High points:The direction, James Newton Howard's score, Willis and Jackson, the surprise ending, and overall the whole feel of the movie. Low points:None. Rated PG-13 for some intense situations, and a sexual reference.

Review: I don't know why these other gibronies hated the movie but I think it was great. Its a really good movie because it has an unexpected ending and the plot is solid. Samuel L. Jackson plays a not too ordinary person to "help" Bruce Willis in a way. After a bizzare accident Jackson has come to think he is Unbreakable. Indeed the whole movie seems like something Hitchock would have made, in fact, I can see Hitchock in heaven or something thinking, "Damn, I wish I thought of that!" Unbreakable is Unexpectedly awesome Unpredictable

Summary: Un-bearable
Review: This guy's (Shamylaman) stretchin' like elastic. Premise is silly, naive, and I'll say silly once more. It lost me big time when Jackson's character told Willis' he became a security guard because he "wanted to help people". I've been a security guard; they're the vast semi-employable with no skills: technical, people, or otherwise. And in comparison to 'Sixth Sense': amount I believe it's possible to see dead people-8%; amount I believe there are super-heroes walking the Earth-0%. There are some good scenes, but it matters not one wit. M. Night, obscurity calls.

Summary: Unbelievably Suspenseful
Review: M. Night Shyamalan has done it again! With his third film, "Unbreakable", he has created a masterpiece full of action and suspense. The story follows the life of David Dunne (Bruce Willis). Dunne is a Philadelphia security guard who winds up on a train which derails. Among the hundreds of passengers Dunne is the sole survivor who miraculously walks away without a scratch. Dunne struggling with his marriage to Audrey (Robin Wright Penn) and relationship with his son Joseph(Spencer Treat Clark)is lead to comic book art dealer Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson). Elijah who suffers from a congenital bone disorder, begins questioning Willis and his incredible escape. At Elijah's persistence, Dunne delves deep into his past for an explanation. As the story unfolds, Dunne finds answers to his questions which lead to the climactic ending which M. Night Shyamalan is well-known for. The characters were believable and the action consistent with the storyline. This movie is in no way a "Sixth Sense II". For fans "Sixth Sense", the new "Unbreakable" is a thrilling, suspenseful follow-up film which displays the writer's creative talent.

Summary: Intrigueing story but not in league with "6th Sense"
Review: I went to the movies last saturday incredibly excited to seeanother movie from the man who came up with "The 6thSense". I was somewhat let down by this movie. The story neverseemed to progress to well. Your given an interesting character at thebegining and you expect to see him develope and come through withsomething in the end but this never seems to happen. Bruce Willis andSamuel L Jackson portray their characters perfectly. The huge downsideto this movie was the pace at which the story developed, incrediblyslow. By the time the character finds out the meat of the story andyou become interested there are about 20 minutes left in thefilm. What somewhat saves this movie is that it is intended to be atrilogy. Yes there are 3 parts to this movie. The problem with trilogymovies is that the first in the series is always going to leave theviewer angry and wanting things explained, even though we wont seewhats next until a couple of years have gone by. Loose ends were nevertied up. Also certain scenes in the movie which were meant to beserious, were laughed at by the audience.... This movie has potentialbut it never really follows up on one of the greatest movies "TheSixth Sense". I suggest you see this movie for yourself anddecide but it doesnt really quence my thirst.

Summary: Worst Movie Of The Year!!!!!
Review: This is truly the stupidest movie I've seen this year! People seem to be looking at this movie in the wrong context. Many people for some odd reason seem to think it's a drama, when infact it's a boring,dull,long,and unfunny,comedy-of-manners. When you get right down to it this movie is about Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson) trying to convince David Dunn (Bruce Willis) that he is a superhero! What sort of profound mind could dare come up with such an idea!? This movie is so stupd, i saw this movie with a bunch of people who had really no idea how to view this movie. Let me give everyone who hasn't seen this movie two prime examples of what exactly I'm talking about. There's a scene where Jackson first proposeses the idea to Willis that he is infact a modern day superhero. That right there, is worth a laugh, but wait, there more absurdity on the way. Jackson then starts rambling on about how comics are windows into the past, yet again, this is worth another laugh. The man is speaking so profoundly about comics. He's stating their importants in the world. Give me a break! This, to me, is a funny, ludicrous scene. And to top it all off, Jacksons, says his lines, with such honesty. I was actually waiting for him to start to laugh. And the audience i saw this with, seemed to be so taken away with this scene. They seem to have forgotten just how dumb this movie is. That, it is okay to laugh at it. Here's a man, telling another man, he's a superhero. You have to admit that's funny in thought. Just think if someone came up to you and told you that. Wouldn't you think that person needs help and laugh in their face? Of course you would! Another example is, Willis's son believes what Jackson has said to be true about his father, and to prove it to him, he wants to shoot him to show him he won't get hurt or die. After pleading with his mother and father not to shoot Willis, the little boy says "Only once mommy!" as if that will make everything ok. Let me shoot daddy once, it won't hurt lol. And yet again, people just looked on not laughing. My two friends and I couldn't stop laughing at such a remark. I noticed, soon after people heard us laugh, many people then started to laugh also. It was as if they needed to be told it's "okay" to laugh. There's nothing wrong with that. I was able to see this movie for what it is, something many,many people aren't doing. This is a ridiculous movie with an insane storyline. And that's what it's suppose to be. A comedy - of - manners I feel. The whole idea amny have to agree is funny. One man trying to convince another man he's a superhero. If Mel Brooks would of made this, people wouldn't be able to stop laughing. My pick for the worst film of the year! * 1\2 out of *****
