Summary: A dichotomy of fate
Review: M.Night Shayamalan joined hand with Bruce Willis again in this mysterious movie of life and fate. It should not be regarded as any sort of continuity of the Sixth Sense despite the Shayamalan-Willis phenomenon is still in effect to a certain extent.This time it is not the life after dead being dealt with but how could a simple (or in fact not simple at all for the characters inside the movie) difference in natural life led to a drastic difference in fate. Samuel L. Jackson is really haunting in both appearance and behavior, but he really made Elija Price came to life. His strong influential power was mixed with sickness and self-absorption but he led the plot down one by one and step by step. Bruce Willis as David Dunn was in fact pretty "Willis" with similar kind of reactions and facial expressions. Lucky enough, the plot and the soundtrack had done much to hold up his role in the movie. This doesn't mean that he could not act at all, because he was very well done in the finale of the movie, it is only that he didn't look as psychologically complicated as he should be in the movie. Many places in the movie were somewhat caused by his complexity, e.g. his marriage, the relationship with his wife, his turn of fate and career, but that part was pretty raw with him. The support cast did not have a real big impact in the movie this time. Nonetheless, the part in the kitchen that Willis and his wife united in cosnelling their son is a pretty good insertion in the movie, it makes all the character more into real life. The movie has a lot of dialogues that needed to be digested in order to follow the storyline closely, so be prepared to chew every word when watching it. Also, sometimes things do not have a reason to happen, do not try to ask what Willis happens to be this (in fact the answer was provided in the movie many times)and that, otherwise you won't be able to enjoy the movie fully.

Summary: Unbreakable turns upside down
Review: I am sure you have heard of M Night Shyamalan, director for Sixth Sense. And his latest effort, Unbreakable seems to be going off hand. No doubt, it has its own story line which proves to be related to comic-strip and superheroes, the characters for David Dunne (Bruce Willis) is exaggerated with myth and reality. I don't see the point of a character coming into life and playing a superheroes like Superman. Night might have got his inspiration from a comic store, but this show is not the type for me although I truly respect his earlier works. Watch this movie only if you consider him a fan !

Summary: Unbareably Boring
Review: First thing first, I saw the Sixth Sense and found that it was ruined by good reviews and over hyped and the much talked about twist end which was predictable, after that I desided not to read a thing on Unbreakable. That didn't help one bit. While The Sixth Sense wasn't much great I liked the idea it had and it had some good moments, at least it managed to keep me interested for awhile, Unbreakable lost my intrest around 5 minutes into the movie, thirty minutes later I was almost asleep, I wish I could of fallen asleep for this movie went no where FAST. The plot was the same thing re hashed over and over again, Jackson keeps trying the prswade Willis that he is a super hero but Wissis doesn't listen, that is basily what the whole movie is like, there is actully no point in seeing this film at for it is just far to boring, I highly recommend that you skip this one.

Summary: The Secret To Unbreakable's Brilliance Are the Subplots
Review: Unbreakable was not well received by the American movie-going public. Perhaps it suffered the same fate as Lucas's 'Phantom Menace' in that audiences expected more from M.Night Shamaylan, whose film 'The Sixth Sense' catapulted to one of the top grossing films of all time by mere word of mouth. But Unbreakable is actually a much deeper, personal movie than the scary 6th Sense was. Underneath the main plot (which I will not ruin for anyone here) is the story of a man who is unhappy with his marriage and growing distant from his young son, and he does not know why. Bruce Willis' performance may be his finest ever, and he gives the main character a genuine humaness which makes the film much more accessible (given a somewhat incredulous main plot). While the film moves slower than the 6th Sense, the buildup leads to a climactic scene which is much more intense than anything audiences experienced with the 6th Sense. In the end I believe a lot of people did not like this movie simply because they did not 'get it'. Unbreakable is a film that really forces you to think on different levels. Anyone who has been in a relationship, who has some life experiences to pull from will see some of themselves in the main character. While the ending of the film is a bit contrived and dumbed down for the average movie goer, it does not detract from such a wonderful, intense, and finely acted movie. I hope Shamaylan gets to make a sequel (the ending is left wide open for one).

Summary: GOOD IDEAS, OKAY EXECUTION
Review: But oh Lordy was the dialogue bad. I mean very, very, very bad. Bad to the point that my cousin my girlfriend and me almost walked out. Also it took quite while for anything to happen. But when it did it was kind of worth it. And being a comic book fan myself I appreciated it more than most. I think it was a good idea for M. Night Shyamalan to film this movie in widescreen. As you probably know from my other reviews, I hate 1.85:1. The Sixth Sense was made this way and I found it very irritating. Also, this film was way better than Sixth Sense and I found the twist to be more wholesome and pleasing. The kid who plays Willis' son looked uncannily like Haley Joel Osmet and Samuel L. Jackson made a BIG mistake with the afro. But his performance was still good. It's good to see that actors and directors take comic books seriously as authentic literature rather than classifying them as "geeky" things. For that I like the movie despite the abominable dialogue. The DVD is in Dolby Digital/DTS 5.1 and is anamorphically enhanced at 2.35:1.

Review: I thought this film had an interesting premise, and was looking forward to seeing it, but when I left the theatre, I was left a little disapointed. The problem was the pace. With the film being part of a trilogy, this was the first, introductory part, and it was far too slow. There wasn't enough in it to warrant a whole film. There is only about 20 minutes left when Willis finally realises what the audience has known from the first 5 minutes, and the superhero action Bruce gets up to is an anti-climax. However, there are some good points. I am sure it will be a lot better as a trilogy if you can stand the length, there are fine performances from all the leads, and the twist at the end just about satisfies because it is less predictable than The Sixth Sense's.

Summary: A great movie
Review: This movie seems like you either love it or you hate it. I thought it was one of the best movies the year (of course, given the year's other movies it might not sound like much). Why are all these people complaining that it wasn't like "The Sixth Sense"? It's a completely different movie. The direction was, I thought, better than "The Sixth Sense" and the acting was just as good. Best advice- go in without any expectations.

Summary: A good movie.
Review: Yes, the best way to put it ,is to say that it is a good movie,as my sweet girlfriend expressed it. I should start by saying it's true what they say about expectations .Expect nothing. "Come Undone" as the song says. Only then would you be able to fully enjoy this movie. From the beginning you realize you're not seeing an everyday film,that there is something special ,and that you're in for a treat. Instantly the familiar atmosphere ,previously sensed in "The Sixth Sense", is on. The unique photographic angles are there, and of course, Bruce Willis in the flesh. I say this to show that there is a feeling of connection ,of bonding to the first movie ,after all it's the second part of a trilogy. However, the best way to digest it is to surrender to the events and flow with the current, since it is so extraordinary.

Review: I don't have this on DVD, but I saw Unbreakable at the cinema today. Unlike the negative customer reviews I've seen on the first page I liked this film. It lacks the special effects and constant action prevalent in most Hollywood films nowadays but that is a good thing. I liked the fact Willis plays a flawed, believable hero. The ending was a little unexpected, but it didn't detract from the film for me.

Review: Im sure many people disliked this movie simply because it wasnt like the Sixth Sense. But, I thought this was better than the Sixth Sense. I mean sure, the plot isnt very exciting but once you see this movie you'll love it. Maybe when you see this movie you should come in with an open mind. There are many scenes on here I believe I will never forget. Like the janitor taking over the surburban middle-class household. Ughhh, chills went down my spine at that part. Bruce the republican did some oscar-worthy scenes on here. I do believe he at least deserves a golden-globe award. In a year of awful movies, UNBREAKABLE is a crowd pleaser
