Summary: 'Tis true, this is a hard world
Review: It is so hard to survive in this world. It is such a cruel, cold, heartless one, especially if you are an outcast or even the slightest bit "different". And if you are VERY different, then you cannot survive--for long. This tale of a man who was artificially created, who has a heart and everyhting else, but whose creator died before he could finish his hands--leaving them as deadly sharp, terribly menacing--looking things, this tale of the ultimate outcast, it beautiful, mythical, and heartbreakingly REAL. The costumes, set, and soundtrack are gorgeous as well. Johnny Depp is adorable--his face is so exqusitly innocent in this. If you need to be inspired to change the world, see this, and let's change it together. There is strength in numbers. Enjoy.

Summary: Yes, it has finally been realized: the outcasts feel, too.
Review: Beautiful film. However--as many have already praised this, I needn't. The reason this will and has touched so many people is because who among us have not felt like the only "strange" one in a white--bread society at some time? Burton and Depp lay bare that longing, that need, while showing us that even the outcasts need not conform, as they are perfect in and of themselves. however, if we live as outcasts, there will be many people out to kill us because we are not the 'safe' ie boring and "normal" creatures they think they are. Beautiful, beautiful film. Makes you think. Do.

Review: This movie is soo well-done and is so beautiful.. I personally think it is Tim Burton's best film. Everytime I see this movie, I notice something different about it hidden in the meaning of this deep movie. This movie is not only about a person with scissors as hands - but as a reject in a (plug in anywhere) society and how the roles react and gossip which causes the reject to not fit in. This movie is so beautiful and Johnny Depp's acting is so good, everytime I see it I cry. When you first see this, you have to see it with an open mind!

Review: This movie is just another one of Tim Burton's great masterpieces(along with Batman, Beetlejuice, etc.) It's so gothic and gloomy and has such a classical romantic feel to it. It would do this movie some justice to have it released in DVD format, in both widescreen and full-screen.

Review: Edward Scissorhands is definitly one of those movies that you must own. Tim Burton does an exeptional job with this movie. The acting is fantastic of course, coming from Depp and Ryder, my favorite actors. Edward Scissorhands is an amazing acomplishment. The movie is about an avon sales woman who goes to a castle to sell her various products. Little does she know that Edward, a young man who has scissors for hands, lives there. She befriends him and takes him home with her. He discovers a whole new world and the daughter of the avon lady, which le likes. Buy this movie if you're a fan of Tim Burton and if you want to see great prefromances from Ryder, Depp, Weist, and Arkin, then don't miss Edward Scissorhanhs.

Summary: A very emotional film-Tim Burton's best!
Review: Films like "Edward Scissorhands" are hard one's to come across. That's what makes this movie so great. The cinematography is like no other, and the story is great. Sure, there are some scenes here and there that are pretty corny, but this movie in it's entirety is terrific. I've only seen it twice, and both times, it's made me cry my eyes out. Even the parts like when Edward is tricked and is framed for battery, his fright stricken face is just enough to make me pity him. The ending is also sad, that I burst into tears the second it ended. So far, that's all that I've been able to think about. It's a touching film I'd never call a comedy. Great acting, story, drama, and directing by Tim Burton. I never knew that he was capable of concocting such a touching story like this one.
