Summary: They're gonna live forever....
Review: Okay, so the plot of Center Stage is slightly predictable (naive dancer comes to big school, gets wooed by arrogant genius, completely misses the really nice guy whos totally in love with her...blah blah) and so what if the characters, from the bulimic and questioning talented ballerina to the wise-cracking sarcastic ballerina.....so what? Center Stage is so much fun for anyone who is at all into the performing arts and especially dance, or for anyone who needs to be inspired to go for their dreams. Notable performances come from the adorable Amanda Schull as the innocent girl who loves to dance and the always amazing Ethan Steifel (best male dancer of his generation without a doubt, and he can act wonderfully too!!) Two thumbs up, everyone should see this movie.

Summary: Wow! I was surprised!
Review: This movie was adorable! I thought it would be another teeny bopper movie but it was the furthest thing from it. The story was great, the characters were a lot of fun, and the dancing made you want to get up and join in. The two male leads were really hot, and Amanda Schull was so cute! Give it a try, you'll love it. I'm 23 and had the best time watching it-it's not just for teens.

Summary: Truly Enjoyable
Review: I found this movie "truly enjoyable." The plot was a bit old and over used but the dancing more than made up for it. The dancing is absolutely amazing. However, the story does not really portray the life of a dancer. It is true that dancers tape their toes and get blisters and sprains but most of a dancers struggle is elsewhere. This movie doesn't show the hard work put into the dancing, the exhaustion at the end of the day, or the way that dancers tend to be harder on themselves than any teacher ever could be. While people should enjoy the movie, because it is more about achieving a dream than any thing else and the dancing is beautiful, they should not be under the impression that the actors are behaving as real dancers would. For example, no dancer would ever talk back to a teacher or walk out in the middle of class. This movie is much better when one pays more attention to the dancing than the acting. The dancing makes it a 4 star movie!

Summary: Awesome Movie
Review: Center Stage was a wonderful movie that realistically portrayed the ballet world. It takes place at the American Ballet School (which really exists) but the characters are all ficticious. Jody wants to express a personality while she dances, but she feels ballet doesn't let her do that, so she struggles with staying in the school, until she meets Cooper. Cooper is an awesome dancer, and Jody falls for him, and eventually gets cast in his ballet. Charlie really likes Jody, and knows Cooper will hurt Jody, but you'll have to watch to find out who Jody chooses. I also thought the other characters such as Jody's friend who wants to make it but doesn't like the rules, and Maureen the "perfect" ballarina added a lot to the movie. I hope you'll buy it and find out how great it is for you self! Enjoy!

Summary: Fabulous
Review: This movie is amazing. It's about more than just ballet. I fell in love with all of the characters. Ethan Stifel, Sascha Radetsky, and Amanda Schull are all fantastic dancers, and deliver great performances. Ethan, and Sascha both dance for the American Ballet Theatre, and their talent is awing. I highly recomend this movie to anyone that has ever danced, been in love, or had a dream.

Summary: A Dancer's Movie
Review: While some may disagree with me, I truly enjoyed this movie.I have talked with many of my friends who are not dancers and or who are of the opposite sex, and they don't really care for the movie. I believe that some people are unable to really understand it if they are not dancers themselves. I know from personal experience that this movie accurately dipicts a dancer's life. Everything from taping their toes to allowing their life to revolve around dance, it is all true. Now yes I will agree it was kinda corny and typical for the "sappy" music to be playing in the background when Mourine is speaking with her mother, but all in all this is an excellent movie. And I stand firmly on my belief that one can not truly understand and appreciate this movie if they have not lived that life of always watching their weight and walking on feet that are numb from pain. The one thing everyone who sees this movie should keep in mind is that at one time in their life they also had some dream they wished to acheive; Jodi Sawyer's just happened to be being a ballerina.

Summary: Never stop dancin'
Review: I am 16 years old, and i've been dancing since i was two. This movie is jam packed with creative and innovative dance numbers that light up the screen. So it's a little predictable, but who cares, you really do identify with the characters, and you want them to succeed. Issues like weight, and friendship, and dating make this a great movie for teens, and anyone else of any age who enjoys dancing as much as I do. The choreography was truly amazing and the costumes in the last performance were great!

Summary: Oh Come and Dance With Me....
Review: I used to take Ballet and I can attest to the fact that it is as difficult with the teachers as they portray in this movie. I liked this movie in it's whole. The characters were well thought out and the plot was interesting. I was glued to my seat the whole movie. Besides wonderful dancing, the music is appealing, and well rounded. I enjoyed this movie a lot because the characters matured throught the film and they stuck by each other as friends, and what they believe, move over Sikel and Ebert...(RIP) I give this film two thumbs up!

Summary: Realistic Depiction of the Dance World
Review: Center Stage is an excellent movie, I believe. While the movie has a fictitious dance school and characters it has quite a real dipiction of the ballet world. Some parts are over exaggerated for people that who are not familiar with the ballet or dance world will get an idea of what they mean by "turn out" or "bad feet." On the DVD they have extended dance sequences, editors commentary, deleted scenes, and more goodies for the viewer to enjoy. The dance sequences are amazing visually and technically. The boys, especially Charile, are cuties. Some guys I know have seen the movie and they liked it; now that could be because one is a dancer himself and the other just saw a dance sequence, but thats up to you to decide :). There is also a love triangle and little other goodies in the movie, so it's not all about dance. Basically, Center Stage is Fame except for ballet dancers. Hope you enjoy the movie if you decide to get it!

Review: I really enjoyed the film, I don`t think it lacked anything but not enough of Charlie. I thought he would have made it a lot better if he was more "involved" in the movie because he made it alot better and alot more sweeter! I think he is awesome and I think Jody is awesome and eva is great because of the way she is plain out honest! great movie I suggest everyone to see it!
