Review: Though a true "chick flick" this film manages to send guys the message as well: don't let the one you love get away without really savoring the life you have together. Costner and Wright have a perfect chemistry, and Paul Newman steals each scene that he's in. Message in a Bottle will open your eyes to the simple truth that once someone you love is gone, you can't tell them all you always felt. Express yourself while they can still hear you, see you, and love you.

Summary: Fantastic until the ending ruins it
Review: Only see this movie if you like being uplifted and feeling good - only to have the movie turn and leave you depressed and manipulated. For some reason, they thought they had to take the dramatic way out, and it doesn't work for them. It just leaves you thinking "Why?". If you must see this rent it. I can't see anyone watching this over and over again - who wants to be depressed?

Summary: The ending spoils the whole movie
Review: At the end of this movie, I felt ripped-off and betrayed. I had invested 2 hours of my time and emotion on an excellent movie, only to have it spoiled by an awful ending that came out of nowhere. To me the ending of a movie can make or break it. If you agree, don't bother with this movie. If you disagree, see it. The rest of the movie is wonderful - good acting, believable and interesting characters, good story, good pacing. The director should have quit while he was ahead.

Review: If you are a romatic lover, than this is defintly the kind of movie you should look. From beginning to end and this is more than 2 hours, you are getting involved in a real nice growing love story. This story has o alot of feeling and it also shows, how difficult love can be sometimes.

Review: This movie is one of the best love stories of all time. Although it is not quite as good as the book, this movie comes very close. The storyline begins simply enough, but turns into one of the most powerful movies ever made. If you like truly great cinema that delves into the hearts of the characters, Buy This Movie. Otherwise, buy the latest Pokêmon or Teletubbies release.

Summary: Don't Waste Your Time or Money....
Review: I am so happy that I read the book first. That way, I was able to truly enjoy the way the author of the book, Nicholas Sparks, wanted this truly amazing love story to be portrayed. This movie did not do the book any justice. I did not feel the chemistry of the main characters the same way I felt it in the book. I also believe that the director strayed too far from the actual basis of the story. I could not wait for the movie to be over.

Review: You've come to see a love story and this is exactly what you get.Robin Wright is really good in this one. The chemistry between Costner and Penn's terrific! That's as soon as Costner starts opening up to her. This should get any person that's sensitive enough teary-eyed. If it doesn't do that for you then nothing will!

Review: A very disappointing bore. Sitting through two hours of this torturous drivel set my teeth on edge and made me lose the last vestiges of faith I had left in Kevin Costner. The only bright spot in an otherwise drab and predictable story was Paul Newman as Dodge. Leave this one on the shelves, folks.

Review: This is the best movie I've seen all year! I was sobbing the first time, but the second time I was crying even more! This is definately the best romantic movie I've ever seen and it will bring tears to your eyes when you see it. My friend and I practically flooded the movie theatre! :-)

Review: This movie gave me mixed feelings. The beginning of the movie was both slow and a little to fast. The relationship of the couple developed quickly, however the story line was wonderful. The ending was a little unsettling, then again it could not work out any other way. I recommend this movie highly.
